I second this. If it is not your optimal attach chain then it is something within the build you were running. A DM/SD scrapper should meet and exceed your requirements.

Are you wanting to accomplish this with scrapper rules enabled? Or just being able to get it done? Whatever the case may be. Like @nihilii mentioned. Without knowing your build we can only give general advice. It can be done with a DM/SD Scrapper.

DM/SD is by far my favorite and lets me tear through anything and everything.

With a Crit I can routinely one shot level 54 Lts with soul drain saturated.

Yes everything has either been set with +5's or had a catalyst put on it. Soft capped defenses, hard capped smashing and lethal resistances with perma hasten and enough endurance to last for days. Absolutely love this set up and build, it destroys anything in its path. With ageless I can have perma soul drain. Without ageless I am a second or two away. This build has basically ruined playing anything else for me because it has not performed to the same levels.

Shield is a great secondary for dark melee. Each has holes in their power lists that the other plugs up and compliments.

Tweaked my build just a little more. Still sitting at 50% defenses with perma Hasten, but I managed to up my smashing and lethal resistance to 75%

What should Willpower focus on when building their IO set up? Should they be more concerned with pumping up their Regen and then Recharge? It seems difficult to soft cap their Defenses.

I am new to fire melee and thinking of decking one out. What are some of the optimal attack chains to run? I've heard of people running enough recharge to just run the fire sword attacks. Would that approach be missing out on something.

This is from one of the old CoH wiki. (Note that with Issue 18/Going Rogue's side-switching, only characters with villain or rogue alignments can unlock Patron Power Pools. However, after unlocking the pools, they remain as legal choices even if the character then changes alignment away from villain or rogue, and can be respec'd into and out of at will.) From the guide that someone wrote here on these message boards. You can go to Aribiter Rein as either a villain or a rogue and start that quest line. The last mission of that quest line will reward a badge. Once you have earned that badge you should be able to switch your Body Mastery into Energy Mastery. Therefor getting superior conditioning instead of conserve power. Congratulation! Now you can start pumping out Incarnate stuff. It is SO much easier and faster to level now.

I personally love /Shield. Against all Odds is an amazing damage boost for those x8 missions. It also gives you shield charge which will plow down entire mobs once against all odds is saturated. If you want a little more single target with it and a self heal I would go dark melee with it. Electric melee works great for some extra AoE damage as does Fiery melee. I'm sure super strength or any other pairing could work wonderfully too.
