A long while ago there was a somewhat-similar bug in Kings Row with rescued NPCs and one of the doors they would try to go through, where they would get stuck in a loop and not actually be able to use the door, constantly running in circles. As more npcs would get stuck in the loop it would end up looking pretty ridiculous. When the devs eventually fixed the bug, they added a history plaque to explain it as part of the games lore.   3. I have a couple of pieces...but they're not traditional comic book style. I don't know how to do that, lol. This is just my best stab at art, using an iPad. First up, the first I did.   4. This conversation degenerated very quickly from a, "Can we do it" to a, "Should we do it" conversation. My stance on whether we can do it: I for one always wanted to see some customization options for Masterminds, whether it be a full-blown character customization like what we can do for our own characters, or the ability for them to spawn in with random appearances to mix things up a bit.   6. FIrst of all, I only found out about Homecoming and returned to Paragon Yesterday, I'm happier than I have any right to be about a video game. Second, My character in the old days was an intricate experiment in Min/Maxing. He was rigged for passive regen, all of it. Is this the right forum for me to theorycraft his rebuild from the groud up? I've got MIDS again, but like I said, day 2 of my return, a lot of work remains to be done, but I will need advice from those with better memories or more recent experience than I have,

  7. Okay so now that I've put some actual thought into this mission, I've updated it a bit. Nihilii is right, the generator is too easy to accidentally destroy. I put it in so you could get mission complete rewards if you couldn't defeat all the AVs, but I'm not sure they even have those anymore, and having the timer is more important for a test, which ultimately this is. So it's gone now, and the mission will complete when you defeat all the AVs. The timer is now 2 hours. I've also changed all the enemy groups to "medium" difficulty rather than "easy," so the

  8. After leveling a /Regen, a /Bio and a /Willpower toon to 50, have to say I agree /Regen is the worst of the lot. IH should be put back as a toggle IMO.

  10. Drain psyche is about tanking -regen not healing one's self. I slot it for endo recovery with an eye towards rch set bonus. Mind/Psi is my specialty you can get low on endo even with Domination popping every 60-odd seconds (not the kind of low where you'll run out/detoggle but still). Running 7ish toggles with perma hasten attacks can do that hehe. But yeah it's a -regen vs target tool, not a healing tool far as I am concerned -Number-Six (Torchbearer) THE Mind/Psi Dominator

  11. That's frankly a terrible reason. It implies that whatever violence/sexual behavior that is unacceptable towards women/female pets is somehow acceptable towards men or the existing male pets. This isnt COXG, we actually do have mods to sort that stuff out. It's like not wanting global chat channels for fear someone would say something crappy...

  17. WP is great to set and forget. But if you get in trouble, you don't have very many options. That said, you don't get in trouble very often. Bio can be extremely active if you choose. Bio is probably a "higher performance" set.

  18. You're not wrong! But from the perspective of Stalker /Regen, it's a pain in the cape set. If any changes were made to the set, I'd hope it be in the vein to improve the usability for Stalkers and Scrappers while keeping it in line with Brute and possible proliferation to Tankers. Note: I don't think /regen is bad for stalkers, but it often requires either a.) heavy IO defense/resist bonuses + the fighting pool, b.) a heavy hit&run style or c.) some combination of the two. And this is solo or on teams. Other sets like /dark and /wp aren't so strongly boxed into t

  19. The HC Beta patch notes make specific reference to patching the control stacking bug as well as the pets and enhancements so seems they're well on top of things. Just have to suck it up until they push it live :). Happy days though. ~N

  21. To be clear, I mean "the entire process", not "what's left from here". "From here", I'd guess six months to a year, and won't be especially surprised if it slips by another six months beyond even there. The Devil, they say, is in the details. I would say that the heavy-lifting part of it was just to get NCSoft to the table at all, and agree to work out those details at all. Actually doing that, though? That's the part that will take time.

  23. It seems like the main stumbling block is psychological, your deep connection with one character precluding the creation of other characters... So... Could you make an alternate version of the same character? Like... You like Claws/SR, right? So make a Claws/SR Brute with the same costume and a slightly different name (Hyphenate, maybe? Or have it be the Weapon-X to your Wolverine or whatever). Play the same character in concept and even powers, but with a different archetype. You could do the same guy as a Claw/SR Stalker and use that 'version' for a Black Ops/Stealth Mission mind

The second piece I did is a duo my friend and I started together, and proved to be amazingly effective; we did pretty much every task force, not to mention story arcs and sig arcs, as just a duo on Live. Now, I've heard rumours and nebulous reasons of why it's technically not feasible to get Henchpets to spawn in with customized appearances, or even to stop them from spawning with random appearances . . . but I'm wondering if there's a coder out there who can break it down for the viewers at home just how exactly the existing code is uncooperative. I've heard it described as a "hack" just to get Henchpet to be a thing at all. And that the clones/shadows/dopplegangers are even /more/ "hax" than that.   33. I threw together a quick AE arc with all the Praetorian AVs. "Praetorian Invasion! (AV-soloing test)", Arc ID #15220. They're accompanied by War Works, they're all the old versions of the AVs because I couldn't find the new ones. destroying the generator completes the mission because I don't know how AE rewards work anymore, and there's a 1-hour timer in case people want to time themselves. Feedback appreciated.

  34. I think Opportunity is not getting the love it deserves. Before, I felt the same way, that Opp doesn't really bring much to the table. But after trying other secondaries (paired with the Dual Pistols as a control and because they're my favourite), I've found that with some, I tend to depend on Opp for that second wind of endurance during a prolonged tangle or that extra bit of bite or enough end to finish the fight. It helps. It's there. I'll use it. With WP and SR, it doesn't matter if I end up clicking the red one or the green one. With my /Dark, I have to time the green one strategically to

  35. Status protection. The late game is LOADED with CC effects. Being able to ignore the vast majority of it gives sentinels an edge that blasters just can't surmount.

  36. I think there are people who made a pretty good argument for giving Regen decent resistances to debuffs. Give all its click abilities a chunk of resistance to some of the more detrimental debuffs (-def, -regen, -recovery and -rech) and a bit in the passives. Have it so, with the passives and a couple stacks of Reconstruction, and you're sitting on moderate amount of debuff resist. Stack Reconstruction with Instant Healing and you're sitting on a high amount of resistance to debuff. Using Revive or Moment of Glory and you're momentarily practically immune to those debuffs.   37. Just gonna point out the obvious, that the 'community' as mentioned is not the whole community but a small portion who plays The Forum side missions. Some folks play regularly and don't even visit nor post on the forum. So forum polls by members are fairly limited to those who frequent the forum and browse that particular section. It's not the best indicator of what the majority of players want. It's mostly what folks who frequent the suggestion section and are inclined to tick a box, want. 😊

  38. I fully IOed out my old main villain, Louis Cypher. One Energy Melee/Fiery Aura Brute. He sucks. He sucks bad. I mean... black holes suck in everything but Hawking radiation and they still don't suck as bad as this EM/FA brute. Does anyone else remember the glory that was energy transfer before the great nerfing? I railed against the change then, and now I remember why I just stopped playing this guy. At that time we had a large number of refugees from City of Heroes (sometimes figuratively, sometimes quite literally). I'd never had the chance to experience the game, but all of them spoke so warmly about it I wondered what I had missed.   42. There are 4 non-alphanumerical characters allowed in a PC name: . ' - ? (period, apostrophe, hyphen, and question mark respectively). But you're only allowed to use one of the four types of non-alphanumerical characters in a name, and only one of that type of character. So you could name someone Cherry-Bomb or you could play on the song title to name her Ch-Cherry Bomb, but you couldn't call her Ch-Cherry-Bomb or Ch-Ch-Cherry Bomb because you only get to use one special character (In this case the Hyphen). And you also couldn't do Cherry-Bomb? because there's two special characters

I cleaned up the double quote as well as my phone would let me 🙂 i don't mind villain rivalries, but honestly apart from a very few robberies or even fewer visit an instance of Paragon mishes that's pretty much ALL there is red side, I just don't want all my villains running around being used as not even henchmen, just dupes for Arachnos, getting to raid CoT or Family etc time after time it's not immersive to me, plus I hate the zones of the ri the whole point of villain play to me would be playing outside societies rules to get what you want, and honestly to me, villains in this
