  2. A while back I purchased Secondary Mutations via P2W and has since then used it to add a minor boost. Basicly I click it whenever i see its recharged and it then adds whatever small bonus it decides upon. I´ve used A LOT so yesterdays surprice mutation took me entirely by surprice as it turned me into a Rikti Monkey. As i was engged in a heavy fight it had a very qick and painful faceplant secondary effect. So words of caution, Secondary Mutation can be dangerous to use 😂 At least I got a good laugh out of it 🙂

  5. once I activated Secondary Mutation while I was 3/4 of the way through one of the shadow shard zones . . . turns out this isn't the wizard of oz and monkeys can't fly -_-

  7. The only "tension" is brought up by PvEers who think that they are due every single badge in the game and refuse to acknowledge that they are actually entering PvP zones, not PvE. And I say this as a PvEer who avoids PvP like the plague. PvP zones are for PvPers. End of story.

  9. Jimmy actually came up with a delightfully hacky way to make LRT start recharging after you zone. It hasn't been tested and requires code changes, but it may work. Do not take this as a promise that it'll happen, I'm just bringing it up so you are aware it is something we're looking into, it's not outright dismissed as a possibility.

  11. For what its worth, I agree with your stance. Ill live with the choice either way (Barrage or Bone Smasher), but I preferred it in BS because I was already going to take BS, why wouldn't I? I was already going to use BS, why wouldn't I? So I loved having the option to buff up a power when the time came for it. Sure, I will use EF on a fast ET 95% of the time. But there absolutely would be times where I would consider sprinkling in BS+EF for that guaranteed stun and/or regeneration debuff. And I get it...BS as a spender interrupts the optimal attack chain for those that get a 2nd EF

Who is helping to change the pvp is the one who knows the pvp best, simple. you start in the zone and then continue in the arena if you want to raise the level of challenge a bit. there are no two communities, zones and arenas, those who claim this have been little or nothing both in one and the other. they are the same players who, JUSTLY sickened by the zones, now play only in the arena. if the pvp were better almost all these players would also be in the zones. I'm sure.

  15. This has probably been suggested a dozen times before in the thread. LRTP needs to not fire until a destination has been picked. Right now, clicking on the button fires the power and starts the ten minute cool down. This would take care of user mistakes. Example: Running a mission arc Click LRTP Realize you forgot to do something in your current zone Cancel LRTP Talk to contact, but now you have to wait ten minutes to use LRTP I know there are other travel options, but this would be a nice to have.

  16. /ah makes the market more accessible for everyone, which means it's easier for everyone to list their stuff, which means that the supply is higher and it's easier for everyone to buy what they want. There's not really a good case to remove it, keeping the economy healthy and in check is very important to us - we don't want it to end up like the market from live.

  17. Dude again you are not reading, it requires at least 4 days of not playing to earn it and at least 7 days off line at current recharge rates to earn a fill up on uses. The day job powers should not even be considered into the equation for balancing any adjustment to the travel dynamic. No new character will have them. And frankly what the hell do you even make a new character for it not to want to play it and let it sit around. You can say that power is an equalizer all you want, it is not.

  18. Wild Fortress Request: Add a "minimal FX" option to compensate for the change that makes the FX show permanently. Reason: I'm used to being able to hide it, and its ugly. Reaction Time Request: Add a "minimal FX" option. Reason: This power is supposed to be "natural" (as hinted by it's name), however makes large glowing rings emanate from the player. Temporal Healing Request: Add a "minimal FX" option. Reason: If the two mentioned above get this option, this power is also explainable thematically as not making a visible effect.

Much like my "Rosetta Stone": I am working on scripts to parse all graphics references in the game, so the future client-side modders can find those images from previous leaks, modify them, and then create graphical client-side mods to allow the regular CoH player to modify what they see on their screen while playing, in any way that they wish. Attached to this post is V1 of the "Visual Rosetta Stone". It's the simplest version, and might be considered an "Index" of sorts, because ALL that it is, is a dump of all of the texture files that I've been able to find

  20. Looks like the bean-powered propulsion system is functioning properly. Angled slightly up so the thrust counters gravity, gaseous exhaust present, it's fine. 😁

  21. Downgrading an AV to an EB doesn't remove the purple triangles buff, so they still remain nigh-impossible to mez most of the time and they resist debuffs almost to nothing, which is a major hindrance to any debuff- or control- dependent characters trying to solo them.

  22. I'd like to chime in with my displeasure in regards to the Shinobi-Iri change as well, and to echo a lot of what has been said. This change kills a lot of flavor, both in terms of playstyle and aesthetic. By pairing Shinobi-Iri with Ninja Run or Beast Run, combined with some tailored slotting, we were able to realize the character fantasy of having that speedster ninja without being locked to the standard run animation just, you know, sped up. And giving them a eg. 100% stun was an idea I muted privately. After all. It's barrage, right? And had this change been up 1st before 100% Bone Smasher?   25. Understand one thing about designers and balancing powers: A power is generally balanced around its main purpose. With Power Crash as a damaging power with a secondary effect that is a chance to Stun, it gets balanced as a damage power and does full damage according to the damage formula (plus perhaps balance adjustments for the set). If you want it to be a 100% Stun, then it will probably get balanced as a Mez power with some damage, and it seems quite likely that its damage would be lowered.   26. Appreciate that you all are following the feedback and putting in effort on this but your comment here doesn't make any sense at all. We're still traveling a lot even with the GM command right now. Something doesn't add up here. When the new portals go live, we're still going to be traveling. All you've done is add a brief animation instead of people disappearing into thin air.   27. They'll be in beta until they're finished. There's no definitive time frame. They're specifically interested in bugs, exploits and usability feedback. The more people testing, the sooner it can go live. So that might be tomorrow (it won't be tomorrow), or it might be Christmas (probably not that late, but still possible). Typically a package deal. Go. Test. Kill bugs. And that doesn't mean only the things that interest you, test everything. More eyes on more things = faster beta process.

  29. If they have anything planned for adding story content to KW, they may be holding off on adding all the badges and plaques until they finalize the story. It would suck if they wrote stuff now and then realized later down the line that some of it had to be changed for story reasons. Adding just the one badge is probably for the Teleport accolade, and I imagine the one they chose to add in is the one that's least likely to need to be changed down the line.

  32. I'm throwing my hat into the ring of "don't like the movement change", like other posters here. It just seems like change for the sake of change, slowing people down who were already slower than players with a "real" travel power. Not to mention it ruins some of the RP/Character theme/Identity of certain character builds. I liked that my Nin Sentinel didn't need a "real" Travel because of Ninja Run. He's still slower for crossing entire zones compared to someone with SS + CJ/SJ, so what's the reason these powers no longer stack? Because they "were never supposed to"? That seems like a weak rea

  33. Thanks again for continuing to work on this set! Location based powers are generally better than enemy-targeted powers. They can be cast around corners, where enemy powers have to have line of sight. Given this is a "sneaky archer" set I consider adding more corner-casting a big plus. RE: EMP Arrow casting Faraday Cage I had a chance to try this out. I salute the return of the cage. Thanks for that! Unfortunately I'm less sold on it not affecting the caster, just for logistic reasons. It just feels... strange... for it not to work on the caster,

  37. Yes, and I've said as much. As of this build if you remain at mostly level 29+ you would lose the 6 piece set bonus off of two powers. In my case that was -2.5% ranged defense, -1.25 energy/negative defense (thunderstike) and 1.88% off my AoE defense (entomb); all my positional defenses are higher than my fire/cold defenses so there's no loss there... and I dropped the chance for +absorb from the Entomb set. But then I also swapped out other sets so I gained in some and lost in others... Going from Annihilation (one 6 slot and one 5 slot w. KB>KD) to Artillery (two f

  38. This is completely unacceptable: These powers are meant to stack, designed to stack, and have to stack. If a Ninjitsu character can't actually NINJA run while benefiting from using their NINJA powers, then what the hell is the point? There's no reason to specifically punish this random collection of niche utilities and defensive tools.

  39. Not against the idea, but I think lore wise they were actually meant to be closer to Elite Bosses. The implication I saw was that you were at or surpassed the level of most of the signature's, and so they weren't unreachable "Arch-Villains" or "Hero's" in your eyes, but equals.

  43. Kneel next to one and have someone nudge you in to range. But in any event; having to farm these Badges just feels terribly contrary to using the Badges as positive reinforcement for acceptable gameplay. I do hope the Devs take a look at this and recontextualize Badge requirements with the modern understanding that this game doesn't need to be a time sink.

  44. Would it be too upsetting to anyone if joining a supergroup granted the supergroup portal power? I mean, when you join the Justice League they give you a communicator you can use to get beamed up the the satellite in Geo-synchronous orbit. Seems like we could do as much for new players. Just seems like a nice gesture.
