She understood her own mortality in a way very few of us will ever comprehend. A lot of people, if they'd had to live with that, would never have bothered to try to do anything with their lives. A lot of people who don't live with that never try to do anything with their lives, actually. I was one of those people. I wasn't doing anything with my life when I met Rose and Kal. Working, to keep paying rent, so I could keep working. That was my entire

  5. The only things to care about are enhancing its recharge and resistance as well as set bonuses. If you don't need set bonuses, then I would recommend what Snarky mentioned while I'd also recommend enhancement boosters. You can make an enhancement a +5 which increases its effectiveness by 25%. A resist/recharge IO will be 62.5% of a single Resist IO and Recharge IO. So the +5 will turn this into 78.125% effectiveness per enhancement. If you 3 slot a +5 level 50 Resist/Recharge IO, it will be equivalent to slotting 2.34375 Resist IOs and 2.34375 Recharge IOs into the power. Before E

We lost @Rose Vortex today and want to run Sister Psyche as it was one of the things we as a SG loved to run even after it was no longer an official task force. We all got 12 "bonus" years with her thanks to organ donors that allowed her to get two double lung transplants due to Cystic Fibrosis. Anyone that wishes to join us is welcome to come join us. 12. Been a while since this thread was updated and figured more people have a lot more experience now (I know I have) so was worth reviving. Elec/Elec/Elec: Superb resist, reasonable defence with clever investment, good single target damage and a good level of soft control. A real Swiss Army knife of a Sentinel. Psy/Invul/Psi: Invul is brilliant with anything, but Psy Blast has good proc potential, a good nuke, and scramble thoughts is a delight. Rad/NRG/Psi: A bit of a surprise star this one. NRG secondary is a lovely set and quick animating rotation of irradiate —&g

  13. Hello, given the changes to our travel methods and the newish LRTP mechanics, on new alts I now do a very quick visit to each zone to grab one explore badge to open up that location for fast travel. Then in slower time and as I progress in levels and work new zones I collect all the other explore badges and get the accolade and merits. So it can be a non linear zone visit schedule if I get an invite to say PI as a lowbie. Currently if you use the drop down menu system to check which zones you have unlocked you see the same icon for having one badge as for having all of them.

  15. Shadow Shard TFs probably have to take the top spot for me. I've only ever done each of them once on retail CoH for the badges and never went back because they simply felt artificially prolonged to an extent where even the special enemies and locations couldn't make up for it. With more reasonable mission design they would probably be great because Shadow Shard and Rularuu are otherwise criminally underused for being such interesting lore wise. As for other TFs, Synapse and Citadel are both extremely boring because it feels like you do the exact same mission ~10 times, so you don't

Wherever these robots go, plants spring forth around them. Her creators wanted her to have a humanesque appearance and friendly AI--her AI was also designed to require little oversight as she and her crew traveled the world trying to help restore natural habitats, forests, ecosystems, etc. She has since stumbled into Paragon City, finding herself having to suddenly avoid villains who want to capture her and steal her technology, as well as having

  18. Siege (lvl 54) BAF version (I was unable to lock insp/temps as this was through AE, but I avoided using them as usual. No lore as always) I'm still searching for an easy way to access to other big robot version of Siege that has the heal. This is the version you encounter in the BAF incarnate trial with the rings of death. He is no joke, put me into the red 5 times throughout the fight and took nearly 15 min to defeat. His resistances are extremely high pushing 75% res to psi and 50% res to smashing, which are my main damage sources.

  19. I typically like putting mine 6 slotted into my ST hold since I use that control most so I constantly run 1-2 stacks of the damage boost. My AoE hold I like to slot the purple set with the proc along with another proc for some pretty nice damage.

  20. Have to agree on this one. The nukes being made the way they are now have kind of put things out of whack.

  21. Nope, I mean for every single rank increase, for every single additional mob and for every single increase in level difference. Their controls lose effectiveness and their damage often becomes more difficult to leverage. It affects doms more than any other AT. Being severely restricted against EB/AV/GMs is just the most glaring example that most users can quickly understand. However, it is their less tangible, but no less pronounced, decline in performance as settings increase, that ultimately deters many players.

  22. If (big if) you have the slots you will get the most mileage out of the high end sets res/rech. There is one each for the high end sets. So, no set bonuses. Titanium Coating, Aegis, Unbreakable Guard and Gladiators Armor each have on Res/Rech. If you have a super high recharge build you can just mule a Resists set Def% global in there (what i do on my main) High end you can use the 4 slots as above, then the Glad Proc and the Steadfast Proc. one stop shop for knocking out good bonuses on a Blaster for instance. And gets the Glad 2 set bonus that way.

  29. Sure. 1. The instanced map is about half the size of the regular Rikti War Zone. Because there is much less of stuff going on on the map for the game to keep track of, there is usually much less lag during an instanced Rikti mothership raid in comparison to a zone Rikti mothership raid. IIRC, a developer once said last year that an instanced MSR uses about a third of the server's resources in comparison to a zone MSR. You can see and feel it. 2. Because the map is cut in half, the hospital is at the Point du Hoc Vanguard compound. If you die and don't get a r

I want to share a tip that occurred to me last week, and I successfully tried tonight. Outside of the level 35+ and Member of Vanguard badge requirements, the most common complaints I've heard from other Rikti mothership raid leaders are: You have to check everyone's badges to make sure that they have the Member of Vanguard badge. The league gets scrambled when entering the

  35. Nature's Affinity has two key powers - Wild Growth and Overgrowth - which are long recharge team buffs and central to the set. Achieving perma-Wild Growth is relatively easy. Achieving perma-Overgrowth is incredibly difficult and will likely require Hasten and Spiritual or Agility Incarnate (that being said, it's not strictly necessary to have 100% uptime on Overgrowth because it's an offensive buff). These are fantastic buffs, but like all 'gather'-type buffs, of limited use in most teams (where players are off doing their own thing). Beyond this, Corrosive Enzymes and Spore Cloud

  38. I've been forming instanced MSRs on the Excelsior shard utilizing the method in the first post for the past three months and I have to say it's been a huge success. Prior, we'd usually struggle to get three full teams. Now, we always get four full teams, occasionally five. Our average count of Vanguard merits has also increased from about 1,100 per raid to about 1,400 per raid. Once, I even received about 1,850.

  41. @TrixieKixx I would revisit Black Ice Rez for this, my Psy / Mind Blaster. Not quite a Robot as such. But "a sentient AI in a crystalite-metallic bodyframe". I hope we can make that count 🙂 I may need to respec this one some of these days, not quite impressed with the perfomance of this set. I have the nagging feeling this could also be a consequence of always being broke and not affording the badass enhancements to make it the 1-man-army it rightfully should be 😇

Should have time Monday (probably around 6-8 PM Eastern) and Tuesday (a bit later, probably 8 PM start). And if someone wants to organize another TF, by all means go for it! Doesn't need to be the weekly, just one of the classic ones.

  46. I just started exploring Corruptors and went right to Ice/Cold for various reasons. This is the build I came up with, although it is for teams, I think it is good. No doubt can be improved on. While levelling it would need some "filler" sets where the purples are. It is softcapped for range defense and has high recharge and accuracy. 50. I went this way with my beam/dev One thing you do need to do is slot Defiant barrage into a power you can use when held like charged shot as it helps massivily when held. All blasters get a couple of powers they can used when mezzed. Also i didn't take agility but took musculature and assault so with the 38.5% extra damage from sets i stacked it's a huge damage buff. And anyone who says "don't take trip mine" has no idea. It is an amazing AOE for big mobs and Toe Bombing is a thing. I have 3 large AOE's in LRM,Trip mine and overcharge. And g
