  1. Hi, I just leveled up my 40th level 50 last night. If HC didn't exist I would not have been able to. It was my biggest pleasure in my adult life to learn that the game I love returned. So despite all the passionate disagreements in various threads in this community, of the last few weeks I have one think to say to the HC devs: Thank You THANK YOU THANK YOU For bringing back the game we all love.   2. We've seen every post in all the feedback threads. Again, no matter how many different ways it's proposed, we do not agree that Fly needs more speed. Fly has already been significantly buffed. I know you want more, but we don't agree. All the actual testing has shown that Fly, SS and SJ are on fairly even footing in real world use cases right now, so we're happy with that (Teleport will always be a special case).

  6. It really was a Godsend to have this game playable at this time in my life with Covid lockdown restrictions, whatever you want to call it. This was a great distraction, although I have put on some unnecessary girth, I am healthy and happy at home. As I am awaiting my 2nd dose, I will soon be out bike riding again trying to lose this gut that I earned fighting Freaks!

  8. Just to be clear here, we only have access to the version of the powers on Live and Open Beta and can only comment on how they exist in the manner we can access. Nebulous "future changes" are meaningless until they're in our hands. Trying to assuage our concerns and declare our problems with the reasoning behind these changes void by coyly declaring our "concerns" will be improved in some future edition does nothing. Those adjustments aren't here for us to look at, and considering your stance in this thread that all adjustments to this power have been "justified" by RoP

  9. I don't believe origin pools shouldn't be balanced relative to each other. I don't believe stronger numbers in a vacuum demonstrate overpoweredness. Neither of these beliefs are mutually exclusive. All T5 origins could be buffed to 120s. All other T5 origins could be buffed to 120s, with RoP remaining at 90s. Or any other change upwards. Origin Pools can be 1) balanced between each other, and 2) balanced as a power pool pick. Not an either/or, but both. They can and arguably they SHOULD be. My opinion, shared by some, is that Origin Pools, RoP included

  11. Could just be added to notoriety. If you are level 20, you can set your current level anywhere between 1 and 20. Just like being exemplared down. You can street sweep, run your missions, talk to contacts, etc.

  12. Me too. It is fun. I only have RoP on 2 of my 20 characters. So the change to RoP has little direct impact on me. My hope is simply to see all the Pool Powers become as useful and as fun as the Teleport Pool is now. Wouldn't it be a good thing if you were just as excited about the Medicine Pool or the Concealment Pool? Making the unpopular Sorcery Pool even less appealing just seems like a strange move.

  14. Not really directed at you, AA. But as described, this sounds like the opposite direction of the bulk of feedback... The "concerns" mentioned aren't mine. Why would we want to make RoP into a near-clone of the functionality of small breakfrees (30s escape mez), or create more pre-fight hassle with something we must activate before - and get the benefits for - a single spawn? 90s sounds perfect for covering 2-3 spawns with a basic build and average team, or a special case such as an AV or multi-spawn aggro, with some of that "duration redundancy" (wasted time) in between spawns t

If anything, this data should indicate how speed is just one aspect of travel utility – verticality is also an aspect that, in the case of the Grandville course, makes a lot of difference.   17. I'm a fan of this idea. Hard to know without seeing the backend but it might be simpler than auto exemping to contacts (another idea I'm a fan of). This I don't like so much for a few reasons. I enjoy the exemping mechanic, different levels of play in the game have very different feels. If everything was only endgame incarnate fueled insanity it would turn me off massively. There would be a danger that such a change would hollow the game out, with the only teaming available being at lv50 regardless of the content. This in turn would further encourage farming straight to 50 befor

Even your quote is somewhat misleading: Rune is significantly better than *equivalent Origin power pool* options. It's not significantly better than the other options in terms of power picks (or at least the current numbers have not demonstrated that), the most obvious of which would be whatever your 4th power pool is. If the idea that origin pools were created for theme and there is an expectation that only those folks who pick that theme will want those powers no matter how lackluster they are, then I'd rather they not create any further origin pools and just create generic ones that work with any theme. It will just be a waste of time.

  22. Yet the nerf is only going to affect the IO'd crowd. A build running just SOs can't use it in a manner that could be considered gamebreaking. Irrespective of that, being a full IO build doesn't break the power either. I know I said I was done posting in this thread, but I couldn't stop myself from this one.   23. Accept all the newer changes require respecs, that could be a very time intensive thing for alot of people. Or perhaps they just dont consider the old system broken and needed fixing to begin with. Its a valid opinion either way. First off the devs said we would not be getting a toggle speed buff that didnt OAS as a reason for the change in afterburner. Yes they said there were issues as to the speed and ease of use for flight. But again that is a point of debate. I dont consider flight easier to use.   24. On that point specifically... Is anyone under the belief most people take Hasten because they have "speedster" as a theme? Combat Jumping because they're roleplaying an acrobat? Tough/Weave because they're a brawler? Maneuvers/Assault/Tactics because their character is a natural born leader? If a specific distinction is to be made between origin pools and generic power pools, where origin pools must be picked only for theme and generic power pools for any reason, then invariably origin pools will be second class citizens. Now that we've got the new Stance options available, as well as more specific customization coming soon for use with travel powers, I would like to put an idea forward; Can we have similar options for Path Auras? Right now we have the option of having them active all the time, or active while the player moves. I think it would be cool if we could also have Path Auras active with travel powers on, and active when moving with travel powers on. Players are already making the most out of the Stance options introduced to the game, but I've also noticed many using

  31. OK, "bug" is probably stretching it for this - more something that hasn't been undone, but - When Pocket D was opened and the Paragon Dance Party was shut down, a "bum" NPC was put by the N. Steel, IP and Talos doors. He basically spouts dialog if someone's near to the effect of "Yeah, they closed it, now leave me alone." The PDP was reopened on live, as I recall... but anyone going by and hearing the bum would be discouraged of even checking out the doors. It's really a *minor* thing, but could his dialog either be cut or replaced - possibly with some compl

  33. This is very close to how I play as well once I got the Factory up and running. It's pure communism, from each according to her abilities, to each according to her needs. If I liquidated all of the holdings in my several SG bases the proceeds would probably run to tens of billions. I also acquire catalysts in such a way that the supply outpaces the demand; I don't do mains or (for the most part) badgers, so most of my level 50s get trotted out semi-regularly. Where the cash goes is mostly converters, because I craft every yellow recipe from useless sets that I happen to have the salvage

I have less than 10 million at the moment, however, I have gobs of IOs in bins, more merits than most third world countries and over four pages of fully IO’d characters (several of which are sitting at level 1 with their full Attuned IO build compliment awaiting their turn), so give my share to someone that needs it.

  36. I don't farm nor play the market in anyway, converting or whatever - too boring, that;s homework. I have a fairly new fifty (see the end of my sig) who's still having fun blasting around, so is racking up the money. Some new build for a new toon will come along and drain my accounts, but I've never felt seriously impinged. Just another way HC is great, I don't have to feel hampered by not doing the damn homework.

  37. There's already 'Dance Legend' in Steel Canyon, which I believe is just outside one of the door entrances to it, so people who collect badges know it's there. People don't really go to PDP for a number of reasons, most of which were fixed with Pocket D (less grungier theme of the warehouse club, more space for chat spam with large crowds, missions, npcs, chalet, and now AE). If it were to be made more accessible somehow (which is fine) I'm still doubtful as to whether people would go there, as Studio 55 is also just as dead. While I'd prefer to ask what type

  43. I mean, playing at the recharge cap isn't even a factor when IO'd at 50, much less during the leveling process, so I have my sincere doubts about that. RoP is pretty underwhelming on SOs, overtuned or not.

  44. Two problems with this. One, I'd much prefer that characters never out level contacts. Instead of the contact going inactive you'd just be exempted down to the max level of the mission. Secondly, while I agree that people shouldn't be forced to team in City of Heroes, allowing someone to just exempt themselves down to whatever level removes one of the few advantages still left to teaming.
