  1. Hey, how has it been two days without any new costumes? Lets fix that. Outland Warrior - Assault Rifle/Trick Arrow Corrupter I like the idea of there being pockets of humanity beyond Praetoria living Mad Max style in environments so harsh that even the Hamidon doesn't bother with them. What if one of those people made it to Praetoria expecting the city to be a fabled utopia? Here's one such take, a scavenger armed with whatever tools he could find and hardened by a kill-or-be-killed tribal lifestyle who was strong enough to reach Praetoria and find the legends were nothing

  2. Nice pics, Fraulein! LOL about the danglers. Great closeup of DURAY GOIN DOWN. And now, without further ado: "Plants & Flowers" Silver Mantis SF - Saturday, 5/22/21 Good call on Freak of Nature badge title! I love how so many of us used the plant hair... LOL. I added the bio organic whatchamacallit to mine for extra leafiness.

  3. Temp power jetpacks are a thing. They make getting around certain zones possible, so I like to have them. However, I would like to be able to use flight without having the visual of a jetpack on the character. For a lot of my characters, having a jetpack takes away from the thematic presentation of the character. I know I could get Fly, Hover, or Arcane Flight, but that requires a power choice when all I want is to use it from time to time and am willing to pay the INF to do so. I'm just hoping that, at some time in the future, characters can have this as an option.

  4. Wow, those shots from you gyus @FrauleinMental & @Midnyte turned out great! Especially the close-ups of everybody, really takes some appreciation of those costumes and effects! This was again a very fun theme, @TrixieKixx I think those Powerset-centered teams always feel very unusal and exciting! The documentation from yesterday looks rather complete, I don't have anything of relevance to add, I think! So, just a few more personal observations from what I would now like to coin the "Vegan Fury" Theme Team: This being an all-plants themed team, I remember

  7. Post things fondly remembered from the original game that you might not have seen in Homecoming. I play Excelsior 98% of the time, so these may be prevalent elsewhere and I've not seen them: Taxibot supergroups - though I see an occasional character designed as a taxibot, the new and easier travel methods have mostly annihilated this. Cow Supergroups - though I see the occasional cow character, I miss the days when a full bovine supergroup would meet up under Atlas before heading out on some crazy mission most likely heavily laced with cow puns

  8. Yes I realize that its the game's way of giving you instant contacts, but having Twinshot etc stalk me passed my first time doing their arcs is annoying. Nutshell, Toon 1 does the auto-introduced contact, Toon 2 on the same account shouldn't need to deal with these same contacts and it is annoying having their mugs stare at me for multiple levels while I enjoy other content in the game. For this reason, I suggest the ability to drop a contact or alternatively the ability to mark them as "uninterested" which would throw them into their own tab under contacts. Granted the second choice would p

  9. If you don't like , there's always or . Those would require teaming, though, so... As far as the ideas, if you're going to add Fear protection to everything then why have any holes in any defense sets? Yes, protection could be added to Tactics but that power already does a lot, Fear doesn't actually prevents from ever attacking, and as you mention it provides resistance to shorten the duration already. A new pool power in Presence wouldn't work, it would have to be added to an existing power or replace one that's there; of those the only self-affecting power is Unrelenting. Sure,

  10. Super stunners rez 100% of the time if there are any targets within their range. The number of targets determines what percentage of their HP they reclaim when they get up. If you don't want super stunners rezzing, kill them from 25' or further away.

  12. Dark is good against everything and its main selling point is a uber heal that recharges under 12 seconds. It's downside is a hefty endurance cost that has no counter from the armor itself (unlike for example Rad with two sources of endurance, or DNA Siphon of Bio, or Consume from Fire Armor) but IOs can help. A good middle ground is Energy Armor. It lacks heavy resistances but has them, and also has defense as well as defense debuff protection. It has a decent heal that doubles as endurance reduction and later on you get Energy Drain which gives endurance and a small defense buff.

  15. Also, great follow-up with half the team and a couple of PUGs afterwards on Mortimer Kal! I'm at lvl42 now with Bananiac, and having those flames ready for the Time of Incarnation will be a great asset! This is also a fast and fun SF, it's a shame it doesn't happen more often!

  16. Radiation Armor without a doubt. Instead of a slow ass heal you get a heal that doubles as an endurance clicky, then also a shield that -also- doubles as a recovery buff, and instead of a damage aura you get a recharge aura that makes those clickies faster. The damage aura can be replaced by proc monstering the heal and the mini nukes Rad Armor has.

  17. Given how often this (and similar) requests are made, which are technically impossible with the way things are (to the best of my current knowledge) laid out in the engine as-is . . . I think perhaps a reply I gave to a cousin-thread of this also applies here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/29004-give-widows-more-than-one-widow-uniform-slot/?tab=comments#comment-364515 It may be time to prioritize the revamp of the costume rendering systems. Remake the back-end to serve the needs and desires we have today, rather than attempt to kludged another bandaid on top of t

  18. At the end of the day, I think any "balancing" really depends on what difficulty and activity we are talking about here. Personally, (in my own inexpert humble view) most activities on +2/8 difficulty to feel the best overall rounded. Anything beyond that, I see as a "hardmode" or new game plus sort of thing. Not all AT's will be able to do +4/8 etc, but that's not a bad thing either. Some ATs/Builds could likely do +5 or maybe even do a +6/9 difficulty, and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing either. What does worry me, is it feels as if some people are pushing for nerfs

  20. Example: say I have a bunch (let's call it 50) of lvl 31 Impervium Armors of various types lying around from a rare roulette bender. I could sell them all as is, but I'd just be feeding a bottom feeder (who again is probably me). I could convert them all in set to get +psionic resist, but that's a lot of work and it's not a deep market -- it would take me longer than I like to sell them all. I could convert them all by resist damage, but at that level, there's just a little too much garbage. So I figure out a good mid-market price and list them all at that price. Call it 2mm.

  21. Most chemicals with an amine functional group are pronounced with an -een or -in sound at the end, such as glycine, amphetamine, epinephrine imipramine, and cytosine. Given that superadine has no primary, secondary, or tertiary amine groups, I think it is very likely that it rhymes with fine.

(Come dressed as a child...costume only if I didn't make that clear before!) May 8th - Mairenn MacGregor (Level 38-50 – Blue Side – Atlas Park) - Hologram Skittles...we're all dressing as Holograms to brighten up the abandoned sewers...whatever color you like, but make it bright! Only one AT of each type. May 15th - Virgil Tarikoss (Level 15-20 – Red Side – Cap au Diable) - Black & White movies...dress as a 50's movie

I found some danglers again. 🙂 ...except you, going down like a chump! Mission accomplished! I will miss next week, since I'll be on holiday. Good hunting to y'all!

  25. Well, it's possible to recolour the granite devouring earth minion in the AE. (So it should be possible to add this to Granite.) See for yourself... Powerhouse has mentioned he's is hoping to look at Stone Armour in one of the next few pages. So hopefully this is both doable, and on the agenda.

  26. The only relevant tests MUST include performance on teams, and you can't handwave that with "it's too hard to test". A relevant test has to include the Tanker's increased ability to draw and keep aggro AND it must include the fact that on a team they are BOTH insanely tough. The Brute's increased damage is balanced in that environment, because while the improved aggro is of some value, the increased toughness of the Tanker really is only meaningful on smaller teams where there aren't enough buffs for the Brute. You cannot simply measure their solo performance against the same

  27. Not the ONLY reason; some of the crafting badges increase storage space on the character (25/30 give extra invention salvage storage, 45/50 increase recipe storage)

  28. 🔪 Edit: It was meant to be a joke, however I didn't realise that others can't actually see the knife reactions on the individual replies. The setting which makes the reaction only accessible to staff also seems to make it invisible to everyone else.

  29. I completely disagree with Brutal Justice's pet crusade, but can't help but admire his ability to insert it into absolutely every single thread. It's like our very own Godwin's Law. Whether Blaster vs Sentinel, Tanker vs Brute, or power color customisation... If a thread lasts long enough, Brutal Justice will show up and advocate for defense to be nerfed to 40%.

  31. @Metatheory Good suggestion to watch the team UI. I find running this slash command (found here) helps. It removes auto-powers and toggles from the buff display, so I can see who has which support buffs and whose buffs have expired. /optionset buffsettings 1184529

  36. If I recall the original power customization issue per the old Devs... The issue was the way the power works at the moment is that it overwrites your model entirely and calls up a new one. Because it's just "replace with DE_Granite_LT" there's no way for the power to transfer information to the Granite model. As all that info is stored in your model, which Granite Armor just deleted to replace with a new one. All the power customization is stored like costume info. It's not in the power it's in your model, more or less. The other stone powers for example all ADD something to you

  41. The launcher is, by design, portable and self-contained. You can absolutely have multiple copies of it that won't affect each other. The easiest way to make one is to simply copy the whole directory, maybe clearing out some of the settings json files if you want. Or you can do a fresh install elsewhere, it doesn't matter, the installer doesn't do anything magical beyond copying itself into the right place. There's zero use of the windows registry and no "global" state anymore so they'll be completely independent.

  42. I'm with you on this one. If you are geared up enough to tackle +6 instead of +4, then you are pretty much post-reward. Although I do think it would be fair to ask for EB quality xp/inf for defeating an EB rather than a boss.
