  1. I'm currently running a Plant/Kin and it's a VERY strong combo. The only downside to this build is the underwhelming single target damage.. the only way I can reliably solo GMs is with the t4 longbow lore pet. Soloing +4/8 my usual attack chain is: Creepers -> Seeds -> Roots -> FS/SP -> SB on creeper vines -> Roots spam until clear I also have the Energy Font IO slotted into roots. They don't do a lot of base damage but they can be SB'd/Fulcrum shifted and when you regularly have 3-5 out at a time, they DO make a difference. Here's the build I'm using: - FS up every 15 sec, SP up every 7sec - Perma Carrion Creepers - Close enough to S/L cap, 34% ranged defense - You can swap out inertial reduction for siphon speed but I don't think it's necessary with 190% global recharge Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! 2. Some thoughts from a fire/cold main: No need to 3-slot infrigidate. The defense debuff IO is unnecessary as you get enough from the power itself. The base defense debuff from sleet is good enough for all content so the def debuff IO's are a bit overkill 🙂 Lose the slow IO's from heat loss and just max the recharge From my experience, a majority of 50's I've played with have capped defenses so I don't think 3-slotting the shields is necessary. Here's the build I use. I'm sure there are better ones out there but this one works very well for me. Capped S/L/R defenses, perma-snipe, and perma benumb/Heat Loss. Works great for teaming and can solo most monsters/AV's: Villain Plan by Mids' Villain Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! 3. While I applaud your creativity with these builds I think the most effective thing you can do for Cold is to build for recharge and s/l/r defense. Being able to have sleet up every 15sec along with perma benumb and perma heat loss turns you into a debuffing *monster* that can machine-gun AoE's with no endurance issues. With the new PPM system, Incarnate T3 Reactive or Degenerative on your interface slots (the 75% chance to debuff) is far more reliable/effective than the procs you slot on your powers.
  4. IO's are objectively stronger than incarnate powers. It's not even close lol. Incarnates are useful and help plug up some weaknesses but your char is still mortal. I can't think of any incarnate abilities that will allow a blaster, the "glass cannon" of coh, to efficiently solo +4x8 missions without breaking a sweat. Who needs the judgement nuke when inferno is up every 35sec, or Rain of Arrows every 15sec. Who needs barrier (which degrades over time) , when S/L/E and range defenses are already capped at 45%? I'm not complaining though, these kinds of builds took heavy time investment and well over a billion inf to achieve back when the game was live and I'm personally enjoying myself more than I ever did back then. Nobody knows how long the Homecoming servers are going to last so being able to log in and play 98% of the content without having to worry about the Holy Trinity team setup is great. It absolutely trivializes other builds/roles but it's fun for a game that's essentially on borrowed time.
  5. Insight is just a regular buff that's triggered on a random attack. It last about 10seconds and doesn't stack. Once insight goes away you'll be locked out of gaining insight for another 10sec. So yeah, once you have insight you can immediately use greater psi blade for massive damage. You immediately lose the insight buff once you use it. I will say again though that the mobs in the game that do have psi resistance have it jacked up so high that some missions become incredibly annoying. Outside of that I'm really having no issues with the set.
  6. I'm currently a level 32 Psi/Rad scrapper and am enjoying it. It has pretty good ST damage, especially when you trigger the insight buff as it stacks pretty decent DoT. Greater Psi Blade + insight is damn crazy, its damage reminds me of Energy Transfer. If you land an actual crit with Greater Psi Blade + insight you'll put a boss away very quickly.. I don't have the actual dmg numbers at my lvl I've just noticed how fast they go down. Only thing I find underwhelming is mass levitate. It's a very cool looking power but it's all smash damage, with a minor psi DoT if you have insight. EDIT: insight + Greater Psi Blade adds around 66% of the Psi portion of your Damage. At lvl 32 it crits for over 700dmg (the additional psi dmg isn't doubled). As for soft control, most of the attacks do -recharge, Psi blade Sweep has a decent cone and a chance to disorient, and Greater Psi Blade also applies a mag 3 hold. You'll have a bad time against Banished Pantheon and Council Robots though, their Psi resistance is very high so you'll hit like a toddler :P
