  1. Once you unlock a certain day job, you have missions you can undertake that gain reputation (good or bad). For police, it could be a wellness check (which could lead to something more). Not every day job will be as easy to create missions for. Every [insert reasonable number] mission you complete gives you a "Critical" mission that will end in an EB/AV (Maybe GM) battle. After you have gained enough reputation, you'll have access to free temp-powers (limited uses). With the police (day job) option, you could branch off to work with the corrupt cops to either further you agenda or eventually turn them in.
  2. I agree. Add an option to the chat menu while grouped (leader-only option) or solo (KB is fun).
  3. @starhammer, I would like that feature to swap to anything. For this thread I was trying to convey within single classes, so the primary/secondary (mainly) for each (swapping the kind of tank you are, the scrapper, controller, etc.) with something different for the power pool selection (and epic/patron) criteria. Access to everything within your set class (for example) would be problematic in itself (Epic ATs would get scraps compared to the selection of every other archetype).
  4. @Dragon Crush, yes alts, but limited within the Archetype (Scrappers, Tank, etc.). Costumes changes could differentiate them, but I can see how that come become limiting when you reach your final costume slot and still have over a million (theoretical) more costumes you want to make for each power combination.
  5. TL;DR version: You start with the regular slot at level 1. Every 10 levels you gain an additional slot on your primary and secondary powers (at 50, all powers would be 6 slotted). With the power pools and ancillary/epic, you gain additional slots through missions that you complete (easy for the first, with increased effort for later slots). Alternate TL;DR; Each power you choose would be leveled by use (gaining a slot every 10 levels)(with passives gaining slots over time), so powers used more often would gain slots faster (Long recharges have a different formula, to keep things fair). Having it done by use would level the playing field (casual Vs power-leveled character) in certain ways. I can see the advantage of fast recharge getting to cap easier compared to slower recharge powers. A remedy could be that the powers you use to gain experience (active, passive, toggle) get a portion of the experience. For the casual player (less than 4 hours a week), there would be an offline accrual (yes, like day jobs) that if a character is offline X days (or enough hours), that they would gain a slot to any power they wish. With a max of 1 slot accrued at a time (can't gain another until it is used), this would give some progression to those that don't play a lot. After everything is 6-slotted, your character would stop gaining slots.
  6. TL;DR version: Have all powerset options for your Archetype available to swap, but each powerset levels individually (so you can't just hit 50 and be done with all power selections). I know this would pose problems with slotting powers when you change a powerset.
  7. TL;DR version: Level your ALT while your alt helps out with missions. Sidekick or Exemplar level compared to the character in use. You'll need to login to that (ALT) character to pick the powers / slots. Depending on the vet level, multiple alts can join you (1 or 2 while under 50, then than additional after X vet levels). Similar to the level pact system, but can be done on the fly at any level/time (Help in the middle of flashbacks). If the Alt dies, it goes into a cooldown with an added slight global cooldown to summon your next Alt (if you choose to get another right away). Added power to summon your alt to your side (incase of stuck). Make use of the Pet / Henchperson window (For stances, not attack command), with the addition of a slider for how much EXP you want to share. Team leaders can enable/disable the option to have Alts used while grouping, or only have them available for soloing.
