  1. If we reach the usage where every hazard zone is being swept clean by farmers, adjusting the respawn rates in those zones is trivial (I think, City of Heroes spaghetti code may or may not being trivial for various reasons).
  2. To clarify, when you say "next patch" do you mean the next build of Page 4 or do you mean a future Page 5? I've seen lots of people reference "the next patch" and I want to confirm they mean "this page, a new build". Thanks for the efforts so far!
  3. I think this is a brilliant solution. 1) The way those zones work, you have to be in range to get XP, so doorsitters will at least have to stay close to the farmer. 2) Hazard and trial zones are grossly under utilized. So when you enter a hazard/trial zone, let it exemp you down to an appropriate level and give 200 or even 300% of normal xp. Sort of a reverse of how debt works. Suddenly sweeping Perez Park and Boomtown becomes not just "worth it" but also one of the better PL strategies.
  4. One thing this change calls attention to: We need another 50+ radio/newspaper zone, otherwise Grandville and PI are about to get overwhelmed. Might I suggest... Khalisti Wharf
  5. That's also a snazzy idea. Maybe have a drop-down menu on the Name portion of character finalization that lets you select a supergroup you have invite privs for.
  6. How have I never thought to use my base code until I'm able to add myself to my SG? That's brilliant.
  7. This has probably been suggested before, but when you reach the stage of character creation that says, "Complete character creation and enter game", a third option (and return to character selection) would be great. Then I could login as another toon, /altinvite, send money, and THEN login as the newbie in two steps instead of 3.
  8. Not if it hits the next contact in the arc. That contact won't talk to you if you've out-leveled it. IE: In Atlas Park, you level up to 8 while doing Mathew Habashy's missions (Sandra Costel 2nd), you complete Sandra Costel and go to talk to Aaron Thiery and he tells you to kiss off. Thus depriving you of 6 merits.
  9. They wouldn't be level 9 mobs. They'd be level 50 mobs. Like all mishes, it would scale to level. There would just be no upper limit to the scaling anymore. This also eliminates the problem where you happen to accidentally outlevel the last mish or two on a reward arc that you worked on. It's a total win AND adds more replayability to the game because instead of leveling past content (lookin at you here Skyway, who I never actually level in), people would get to see content that might be "new" to them even if it's been in the game since i1.
  10. Worried people might be doing fun wrong?
  11. This one is going to get me a ton of hatemail, so I'm turning on my /fire resist up to 90. Story missions should have their scaling level uncapped. Meaning if you want to run the Hollows at level 50, you get a level 50 Frostfire. Upside: You can take your time and see all the stories without having to Ouroborous it and deal with "What powers do I have today?" Downside: Not all villain groups are built for all levels. Some missions may be easier than intended because the villains won't have higher level powers. Counter: Who cares? A significant part of the playerbase uses farm mishes to speed-level to 50 anyway, so why discourage people from doing the actual mission content by gating it behind a wonky system? When the game was dying on Live, every character did DFB until level 20 and then just cycled through the task forces to 50. Even THAT is superior to what we have now, which is Old MacDonald and his farms (E I E I O). Request for flames comments open!
  12. I think maybe I was unclear: this would be amazingly useful for vanity, single user SGs. A real sg doesn't need this command, but others would find it supremely useful. In addition, it's literally exactly the same as altinvite, only you don't need to logout your level 1 newbie, login your alt in the SG, /altinvite, logout and log back on your level 1 newbie. It would just be "start newbie", "/altjoin <MyAlt>" and voila! Nothing is being bypassed that isn't being bypassed by altinvite.
  13. /altjoin would be the opposite of /altinvite. Using /altjoin <name> would make you a member of the supergroup the target toon is the leader of, assuming you are an alt of that leader.
  14. It would be nice if the base teleporters listed the level range for zones the way the transit/ferries do.
  15. It would be amazing if the level-up placement screen for enhancement slots showed the information that the normal enhancement screen shows (ie: What is slotted, what can be slotted, what the current bonuses are to the power.)
  16. With changes to how AE works... any chance we'll be able to have an AE terminal in bases at some point?
  17. As I rolled the wrong detective in KR, I just want this patch live 😄
  18. You know, because of the great work the HC team has done running CoX like it never missed a beat, I sometimes forget that CoX isn't running on an old Unreal Engine like everything else is these days. (Now called "Unity" for your history lesson.) I swear I'm hoping that the HC team finds a way to get the IP from NCSoft and makes a "Universe of Supers" based on spiffy new unity. Imagine it... no war walls with load times, truly interactable cars, ability to shoot down the stupid blimp... ...and a codebase built after Ronald Reagan left office.
  19. I never even connected the dots, but now I desperately want to play a whip/dark dom.
  20. I step away from my desk for like 10 minutes and there is an amazing change. I love this game.
  21. Those are work-arounds. With loading times. It just bugs me and I seem to be the only one.
  22. I'm sure this has been suggested a million times... But we need a "whip" set, a fully fleshed out version of the demon MM whip powers.
  23. This kind of thing is my "problem" with CoX that keeps it from being perfect. It was made in an era where "make the players run around so they stay online more" was considered good game design. I really wish contacts were all in good placement and storylines were all confined to the zone they start in. It makes me run newspaper/radio mishes more than content, which is sad, because the content storylines are SOOO good. But I don't want to run from Steel Canyon to Atlas Park and back every 6 minutes so I can read good content.
  24. Please, for the love of everything holy, my 2 biggest desires for this game are: 1) Account-wide exploration badges, which code-wise isn't complicated (I think) and 2) Fixing every single contact storyline to stay in its own zone so you can level with the story and not want to punch babies. But this one is harder, so I'll settle for the exploration badges.
