  1. Trying to be accommodating and considerate isn't a bad thing. But people will always find something to be offended by, so it's wise to judge the merit of their claim before taking action. And the best way to do that is to look at what's come before. Seeing as how this is only now becoming an issue, I personally don't place much weight in the argument that the name's offensive. There would have to be something more convincing to me to change my mind on it than what I've seen so far in this thread. Take that subjective opinion for what you will. Also keep in mind that ECT is a medical procedure that's still performed to this day to treat severe depression. It's not something purely of our past that's antiquated and archaic. So to say that times have changed negates the fact that in many regards they have not.
  2. That's an arbitrary distinction. At the end of the day, content is content. But more to the point, it goes to show that if something was that patently offensive then the name would have been removed before now because it was essentially already in the game. That gives the conclusion that the original name is fine more credence not less. Because people had far more time to be motivated to act, and didn't.
  3. I'm not certain what your point is. The two names are effectively the same; I think it'd be hard for anyone reasonable to see otherwise. But to your second comment, just because a character has villainous traits, doesn't inherently make an offensive name permissible. Nor does it mean that if we had a character whose name was racist; but also displayed heroic qualities that wouldn't require addressing. What you commented doesn't change the fact that either people weren't invested enough before now to notice, or to care enough to petition to have it changed.
  4. Bio- implies that it's from a biological origin. Which would be an odd when on a robotic or magical character.
  5. There is literally a character in the game called Shock Therapy. So if this was that offensive the name would have been changed on the villain before now. So either the people objecting didn't play enough to notice, or didn't care enough to comment before this update. It was and still is a clever name for the set.
  6. A good workaround in the meantime is to slot a stealth IO into sprint, as the visuals for that are unaffected by the concealment pool bug.
  7. From what I see the colors assigned to chat bubbles are based around hex code. With a final FF as alpha. However, when you try and set this via the console command option_set, (ChatBubbleColor1, and ChatBubbleColor2), it'll say that it saves the new value, but it won't display it. Instead it'll just show black in the bubble when anything's said. Probably because the command itself can only recognize either 1 or 0. My suggestion is to either put an error message here (and stop it from saving to the options.txt file), or to create a new command that's specific to the effected options which can accept different types of values.
  8. There's another related bug with this now. While the beam rifle works correctly, the animations for Sting of the Wasp, The Lotus Drops, and Golden Dragonfly all don't consistently fire off. Although the damage effects are given, your character just stands there with its weapon drawn but not swung. As shown on a scrapper in the character creator, the katana set shows your toon first drawing the blade, then performing the attack. However, on blasters, in the Ninja Training secondary only the attack is performed, and the draw animation appears to be missing. Adding the draw animation back in (at least as an option) would probably resolve the visual glitch that occurs while playing outside the creator. As often as one swaps back and forth between each weapon, the broken animations become extremely distracting and I'd really appreciate someone looking into the matter. Thanks

  10. Let me preface this by saying: I can't say for certain that this isn't my own stupidity (I really doubt that it is), but I wanted to post this in case someone else had the same problem. I was using the Auction House in steel canyon today, posting a Miracle: End/Heal/Absorb Recipe for 17,000,000; and it didn't post. This ate 850,000 inf which is not an insignificant amount for a low level toon. It came up with a popup asking if I was sure I wanted to spend that amount because of the relatively large transaction fee. I clicked yes. When nothing changed status, I removed them from WW to see if that would help, and it let me take the recipe back into my inventory. I checked back later in the day to find that another item posted for the same amount. A Second Wind that obviously isn't going to sell. Again, I can't say for 100% certainty that this isn't just a colossal user error, but I thought I'd put this on peoples radars in case there were similar issues stemming from the game assigning the wrong item the trade value when the confirmation popup occurs. Never got that inf back either way. I'm getting mixed signals in chat about if you're supposed to get that trading fee back, but I'm far more concerned about the potential bug then the loss of money. Reuninion Server, playing from America, so perhaps lag had something to do with it.
