  1. Oftentimes while playing I will experience fairly terrible lag, high latency, and powers will seemingly get "stuck" in my buff bar. Here is a basic example in a solo mission. This is what it looks like when PvP gets fairly unplayable (note that I'm respawning, so none of that is actually affecting me). Here is a fairly common netgraph when this occurs. And this is my internet speed. (Note that it's normally symmetric, but upload is being weird today) And connections to Toronto, ON Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this or how to fix/avoid it?
  2. Plant/Fire Dominator ---------------------------------- T4 Musculature Core T4 Reactive Radial T4 Ageless Core T4 Assault Radial (off) Blaze - Incinerate - Blazing Bolt - Blaze - Incinerate - Flares Apoc and GJ in Blaze Hecatomb in Incinerate Achilles and Annihilation in Sleet Three total runs (2:13, 2:05, and 2:03) for a best DPS of 439.585. This was way higher than I expected, and I've never really played Plant on a Dominator before. I'd love to remove Flares from the chain entirely, but not sure if I could do that without some sacrifices. This toon was designed to handle general PvE, but especially useful accolade hunting (hence Plant for Roots).
  3. You're likely thinking of MARTy - https://www.engadget.com/2011/09/12/paragon-studios-introduces-marty-to-city-of-heroes-for-issue-21/
  4. Elec/Shield Stalker ---------------------------------- T4 Musculature Radial T4 Degenerative Radial T4 Rebirth Radial T4 Assault Radial (off) Chain Induction - Jacob's Ladder - Charged Brawl - Assassin's Shock Hecatomb and ToD in Chain Induction Armageddon and -res proc in Jacob's Ladder Stalker's Guile in AS Total time was 2:32 (152 seconds) for a DPS of 380.104. That was a little lower than I was expecting/hoping for, but I'm curious to see how this set would actually handle in normal gameplay with all of the AoEs.
  5. Sweet, figured as much, but wasn't sure! Yea, I can't seem to unselect it since it's Raptor Pack, but easy enough to rebuild.
  6. From a build I open that SHOULD have this: Level 1: Electrified Net Arrow SprBlsWrt-Acc/Dmg(A), SprBlsWrt-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(40), SprBlsWrt-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(40), SprBlsWrt-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(40), GldJvl-Dam/End/Rech(43), GldJvl-Dam%(46)
  7. A few issues that I'm seeing in version 2.6.0.3
  8. Any idea how to remove and re-add the power when it is Raptor Pack? 😄 Also, Psionic Lance still seems to have 0 active slots? Finally, pool powers seem to be acting...super janky.

    Storm Summoning/

    I was actually pretty disappointed with Storm/Sonic's DPS, unless I did something terribly wrong attack/build wise.
  10. Tested /fire (and /mace) instead of /ice on my ill/cold. Got a BIT higher DPS (412 first attempt with /ice -> 470 best attempt with /fire), but lost a ton of survivability doing it. I'm trying to find a better build since I hit a wall with 54 Diabolique, but I think she'll be the death of me. Ill/Cold/Fire --------------- T4 Agility Core T4 Degenerative Radial T4 Assault Radial (off) 2:04 (124s) = 437.070 DPS 1:52 (112s) = 470.204 DPS 2:10 (130s) = 422.798 DPS https://youtu.be/kHMxlcTD9y8
  11. Hmm, that might be a good reason to swap Arctic Fog for SI. Yea, I'm sitting on 45% ranged def and a 60.91s PA recharge, but can definitely be one-shot by some 54 A/Vs (Malaise, Mayhem was 2 hits) Yea, I may start de-spawning Phanty before the drop, which could work. Don't want to respec for specific A/Vs yet, but it's an option! Yea, been ducking and dodging mostly haha. Frosticus is right in general: it is very difficult to have "perma-aggroing PA". It should be possible, in theory, as the 3 decoys come out at 1 second intervals, which means that if Decoy #3 from Set 1 has aggro, then Decoy #1 from Set 2 could come in, activate its attack power, and grab aggro as Decoy #3 from Set 2 arrives and deletes Decoy #3/Set 1. So there is about a 2 second overlap where one set is being summoned while the other exists (this assumes that the power itself is permanent, leaving aside the actual decoys)... if Decoy 1 attacks and hits in that 2 second gap, it should hold aggro for you. In practice, this is really a tight space, and you can't improve it, because quite often the decoys come in and look around in curiosity for a second or two. "Boss, why are we here? Oh, a fight?! Cool. Okay, let's mash face". So you will have aggro drop no matter what you do... but, ironically, the AV could be locked in an attack animation on one of the fading decoys, heh. Because of the combination of the AV needing to finish its last attack, and your first decoy needing to start (and finish) its first attack, you can't really guarantee that your PA will permanently have aggro. Therefore, plan on aggro drop for a few seconds no matter what you do with your build, so you're better off in making the build better overall (and especially in personal safety for a few seconds), than in squeezing out that last half second. Suggestions are: Power Boost to get defensive powers stronger. Hibernate at the PA drop and wait for Phantasm's Decoy to draw aggro. Phase Shift, like Hibernate, though going into the Concealment Pool for an Illusion Controller is otherwise only useful for LotG mules. Draw the AV during the fight to an area where you can duck around a corner when PA drops... given the choice of engaging your Phantasm or its decoy, or running around the corner to you, usually the AV will turn and 2-shot the Phantasm (or waste time on its decoy), which gives you time to summon PA at the corner. That's what I was figuring about the recharge, so it may not be worth the build sacrifices/changes. I've been using the Hib right as I spawn the PAs, which normally works unless they fire off a one-shot right away.
  12. (Edited: currently on The Renegades)
  13. I have a question about the PA mechanics, and how important it would be making it permanent. In my current Ill/Cold build, I've got my PA recharge down to 60.91s, which is awesome. That said, I could make some changes (not sure if good or bad), and get this down to 59.57s. With that in mind, I'm wondering if there is a functional difference between the two of them in regards to their taunt. I've run into a few issues (LOOKING AT YOU MALAISE) where I was trying to solo a 54 AV, and was killed as I recast the Decoys. I know that recasting while they are active will cause them to despawn/respawn, but was wondering if there was any benefit to having the overlapping recharge as opposed to my current < 1s downtime.
  14. If being an old rep counts, I'm here too casually. /wave This is Laylyn, former NCSoft PVPEC rep as well for the Guardian server. I can confirm we didn't have much input as Banana Man said above. On the positive we did get to kill Castle and several Devs in a pvp zone, so I did get to vent some frustration at Positron's "LOL PVP" remark. Any chance another former rep, Thorizdin (LoTD), of the Freedom server stopped by yet? /salute Woah, long time no see Laylyn!
  15. I'm not Kaeladin, but I managed to get 45.03% S/L and that ST chain with a 0.072s gap while hasten is up (10s downtime though :( ) with Musculature. I'm sure it'd be easier with Agility, but didn't want to loose the DPS bump. I also haven't played enough WM to know which set should go in which ST attack, but this should be a decent starting point! Looking at the build you gave I think the disparity was due to something I never would've thought about; splitting the 3 pieces of the Scrapper ATO into 2 different powers for a total of +10 S/L defense instead of 5. I had been using it in a single power for the 6-slot bonus, I had never thought of splitting it. Often times, my brain thinks to linearly. ;) Edit: A couple of things I had questions about, is there a reason you took Whirling at 32 instead of Crowd Control? That'd usually be the opposite. Probably doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, since I can just switch the order in the actual build. A more important question I think is why you picked the Mako's proc instead of one of the other damage procs. The damage type on it is certainly the least useful of the options, does it proc more or have a higher base damage? IDK much about how the procs are balanced against each other for any sets. Edit 2: I noticed another part of the issue that I brought up & this build doesn't solve, WM wants a -res proc in Shatter & using the ATO as a 6-slot means you can't put one in there. I'll try playing around with where the groups are slotted... Edit 3: Trying to fit a -res proc into Shatter created a series of issues that resulted in my taking Bash (the WM T1 attack) really late in the build just to use as a set mule for 5 slots of Blistering Cold, and actually ended up with a tad bit more +rech I think. Feels kinda wasteful to spend 5 slots on something I will never use, but the resulting #s look pretty decent, so it's probably worth it. I'd still like to see Kael's version to compare & contrast. I built this for 50, so didn't quite care when I took specific powers, so feel free to move those around for sure. I actually prefer Mako since Lethal is a lot less resisted than people think, but a ToD would be just fine if you face more Negative weak enemies. Yea, I ran into similar issues trying to get a -res proc into Shatter. The problem is that the Combination of your ST attacks + Whirling Mace give 30% rech and 5% S/L defense. Avalanche in Whirling Mace would give you 2.5% less S/L def, or Oblit would give 5% less recharge.
  16. Ill/Cold Controller T4 Agility Core T4 Degenerative Radial T2 Support Core (currently swapping to Assault) Obviously no end problems, but my Hybrid isn't helping at all. Working towards Assault Radial now for teams as well as solo. Total time was 2:12 (132 seconds) for a DPS of 418.328. That is an awesome start, and this clearly wasn't the cleanest run possible. That said, still 2s faster than the run I didn't get knocked down in ;D As far as my build is concerned, I'd love to figure out how to squeeze out a little more damage, as well as recharge (PA is 0.91s away from perma in Pine's). Also need to swap my Acc/Dam + Dam IO in Blind to 2x Procs for DPS.
  17. I highly recommend M3z's videos for a quick introduction on leveling yourself a Spines/Fire, as well as farming with that spines/fire. Leveling the Spines/Fire - PLing/Farming with the Spines/Fire -

Fire/Shield Scrapper - built for general play, but a nice balance of ST/AoE T4 Musculator Core T3 Degenerative Partial Radial T3 Assault Total Radial (off) No insps/lore pets Had to turn off Tough half way through, and was getting close to needing to pop OwtS by the end. Unsaturated AOO, and started the timer when I popped Build Up. That said, total time was 3:04 (184 seconds) for a DPS of 336.2296. That's awesome, and even higher than I was expecting! I'd love to tweak my build some more, but I'm not sure how to help my endurance issues without losing out on some of my damage or utility. This was also my first (and only) pylon run for now, so not sure if it's on the higher or lower side yet. My recovery is currently 3.635 end/sec (counting Panacea proc), but I'm spending 4.214 end/sec with just my toggles and ST chain (ignoring BU/Hasten/AD)
