  1. I've got a Water/Atomic, great fun to play. Here is a build I came across and saved for reference. I haven't implemented this build yet because I don't have the inf for all the winter sets. Having said that, it looks decent in Mids Reborn.   2. Thanks, you are correct. I had just fitted my IOs out and wasn't seeing the circle, thinking mistakenly that meant no insta-snipe, stupid question, I should have just tried it in combat. Having said that I have to say I love this build. The insta-snipe really makes the attack chain excellent -- lots of damage. Plus all the other benefits: defense capped... Celerity Stealth + SS so you can stealth missions... fantastic. Thanks Auroxis. Excellent and fun build right here.
  3. Doesn't matter which order I fire them off in, there is no Insta-snipe. The build is identical to what's posted on page 1 ... If I fire off Farsight then Clarion my to-hit buff is at 89.27% (wrong order / no insta-snipe) If I fire off Clarion then Farsight, my to-hit buff is at 97.27% (correct order / no insta-snipe) No insta-snipe in either case I can't see what I am doing wrong here...
  4. I've got this exact build but find that I don't have insta-snipe. I've got Clarion Radial Epiphany and two Membrane Exposures in Farsight. When I fire off Farsight and Clarion my To-Hit buff is 89.27% With most teams it's not an issue because someone will have Tactics running. But solo it's annoying to not have insta-snipe. I'm considering respeccing out of Mystic Flight and picking up Tactics. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? The build is identical.
  5. Hi Darkir, thanks for the reply. Re: other ATs and power sets, I'm not interested in a Defender or a Sonic/Sonic for this character. What I'm looking for? A functional build for a Rad/Sonic Corruptor. What I want to do is pretty standard for what most people would want out of a build: softcapped defense (I prefer softcapping melee and ranged if I can), decent resistance, good recharge. The end result would be a Rad/Sonic Corruptor that would have a good attack chain and makes the most of the support secondary. I liked the idea of Rad and Sonic together because you've got debuffs on both Defense and Resistance and that sounds like a good combo to me. I found this build on the old forums and it seems decent enough. Certainly better than what I came up with.   6. I love the idea of a Rad/Sonic due to the inherent -def and -res from the powers, but am having a very hard time making a viable build for it. I'm already pretty bad at making builds, even after spending a lot of time in Pines trying different sets out. Spent a couple hours working on one last week and came up with nothing but crap. Anyone here got a viable build for this combo? Ideas? I'm having issues with what Rad powers to select and also ran out of slots when trying to get my Defense and Resistances up there. Some people are really great at builds and I'm not one of those people. I scrutinize set bonuses and go for the sets that give me recharge, defense, and res for what I want but can't put anything together that works. Not seeing any builds here or on the archive of the old forums at archive.org
  7. Just a quick update on the build I posted above. It has 150% global recharge, and there is a Force Feedback +Recharge proc in Foot Stomp which puts you at 250% global recharge for the duration of the proc. When farming, you'll be hitting Foot Stomp regularly so you'll be getting that proc firing off frequently. Without the FF proc, global recharge at 150%, Hasten recharges in 135 seconds (duration 120 seconds) so it is not perma. The build has four purple sets (10% recharge each), three LoTG recharge IOs (7.5% recharge each), and Perfect Zinger (5% recharge). When the FF +Recharge proc is active, this puts Hasten at 103 seconds, making it perma. So, you could say that 'a lot of the time' Hasten will be perma, it's situational and depends on how often you're using Foot Stomp and how often the proc fires. When I'm farming, it's active 'a lot of the time' but I don't have numbers as I haven't timed it or anything like that. The build does not have softcapped Defense, but decent enough: 45% S/L, 20% Nrg/Neg/Psi, 16% Fire/Cold, 31% Melee, 18% Ranged. Resistances are at 57% S/L, 35% Nrg/Neg, 90% Fire, 41% Cold, 19% Toxic and 2% Psionic. I have tried to squeeze all the Defense I could out of it but still can't quite hit that magic number on Melee and AoE Defense. Resistances are decent but I'd prefer higher of course. I have looked all over the place for a better build, I'm sure there is one, but I haven't seen it yet.

  9. Below is my SS/Fire/Soul build that I use for PvE. The primary focus is recharge so I can maintain a continuous quick chain of attacks. My AoE attack toolbox includes Foot Stomp, Burn, and Dark Obliteration. I mix into the attack chain the single target attacks Haymaker, Knockout Blow, and Gloom, continually rotating the AoEs and hitting the bosses with the ST attacks. I would like to see higher melee defense, or overall better Resistance/Defenses. Curious on thoughts or any critiques that are helpful.
