I was trying to think of what I'd want in a revamp and outside of dream scenarios that are unrealistic, from a performance standpoint it's this (some are same/similar to others): I want to keep being Tri-form and play even harder into that Individual forms to feel good, but absolutely great if using all and actively switching (kind of like how mires in WS enhance all forms). I don't want to penalize someone for wanting to be x form only, but I'm not smart enough to solve having it both ways. To me forms swapping is a core design feature I also feel like the sell of the class is for one to have the skill to master the dance Damage increase to be competitive, even if it requires some ramp up time to get there. I like the concept of mires and such, for example, but even with double mire you are still not as competitive as I think we need to be. This is where I think maybe the inherent is reworked to give bonuses as you form swap. Entice me to think about how often I swap. Like human gives something like end/health recovery that lasts 5 seconds, squid dam/to hit, lobster mez protection/hp or resists. You maybe have to use a power in the form to trigger it though, or stay in for a couple seconds. The mastery of swapping through would then give you all the bonuses for being efficient at it, but individual forms are still buffed for what they do like now. For WS Front load things like eclipse so that when I'm dragging out in a AV fight I can get better value. If there's no bodies for things like extraction, let me sacrifice hp, even it it's like 50%. Really this goes back to the drawn out fights, normally not an issue. Same with the blow up the corpse move. If no body let me blow up my own and then stygian return or something. Mez protection - I want something here. With what it takes to form dance and wanting to lean into that, I don't want to feel like I have to live in tank form for mez. I am fine with it still being a risk, but it feels too defeating right now. I'm not as hard on this area though, we do need some weaknesses post revamp.
  2. So I haven't published any CoH videos in a long time (since HC came online). I've thought about doing a new Tri-Shade playthrough and was debating dropping it on YouTube. Idea would be to show my decisions in leveling and some gameplay etc. Granted it's under the caveat that I have basically infinite influence given how easy the market is to make inf. I'm not claiming to be the best WS builder ever, and it would be from a concept of powers I have fun using as a tri-form. I have been successful in harder content on my main WS (8/+4 solo type things), so also not a complete scrub. Is that something you all would be interested in? Are we even allowed to advertise a channel here (I use that term loosely lol, I have 2 Minecraft videos on this channel for my son and my let's play world, not a monetized income stream). Let me know what you think.
  3. OMG Good to see your name. I've been away a while too, just recently got back in and am itching to redo a new WS (because my current purpled out WS and PB are not enough lol).
  4. Light form you can get perma and the AT benefits from super high recharge. I’ll agree we need help, in particular with single target damage on tough bosses and up, but survival is not really a problem on PBs. The only two groups I struggle with solo are carnies and arachnos when I run 4/8. I do run tri form, but I’m 99% in human anyway. I’m spacing the name but the solar clap move or whatever, if you slot a kb to kd is very good at mitigating damage as well. I have 32.5 s/l and melee defense as well, meaning. Small purple from soft cap. I keep a break free available for the occasional time I’m mezzed through light form as well.

  6. I think with the damage brought down a bit it should be fine. It makes solo play a bit smoother, but not just a two button slaughter fest. As you level, or if you have an end heavy build, then you can save it as a utility power at the expense of the damage it would have topped off. To me the damage should be ok, but not a nuke. I appreciate your opinion, I just don't personally agree with the idea.
  7. My issue with this idea is in group play you may not be able to control it. At least mid to high level play I tend to be in a groups where end is always topped off (think powers like AM I think it is). So if you build around running low you may not be able to actually do that beyond solo play.
  8. I wish I was that nerd. I have tons of fun making builds and would take it on if I had any clue how. Sadly I'm a finance geek and not a programming one.

  10. I wouldn't use the shields in human form. Dwarf is just better. Likely, as bi-form at that level, you will mostly be in dwarf. Human is going to be for you to buff in via sunless mire, then dwarf mire and you can do decent enough dps in dwarf. If you are not at risk of Mez, I'd drop into human to pop off gravity well and use circle as needed. Finally, I think nebulous form is the phase ability, it makes for a great either oh crap button, or a phase to herd everything to you. The shields would be good for mules. As well, my other power picks would be for muling LotG if you have some money. Things like Maneuvers, Vengence, Grant invis, etc.
  11. What kind of budget are you looking at? I start my IO builds early, but I have plenty of funds. If you are on a Common IO budget it will significantly change what you can do.
  12. Going all human will be tough. At 14 you could have essence boost for a +HP or heal, but it will be long to recharge. Not having Nova is going to limit damage significantly at that stage (we usually recommend tri-form until late game/50). If you take inner light you have a +to-hit/damage boost, paired with your attacks having -def you should be hitting fine. I'd still slot an accuracy in attacks though. At that level I'd pop inner light, then radiant strike, followed by blast. Then just work through your attack chain for that level.
  13. Outside of being debuffed, I generally don't have issues hitting. You'll miss on occasion, but not more than a few times in a row unless they are over your level generally. What level are you? What powers do you have?
  14. It'll depend on what powers you have, what level you are, etc. If you are asking on a PB, generally you can knock them down with flare and strike pretty reliably. If you have dwarf you basically alternate attacks and flare and juggle them. You will have heals to help up periodically as well. With the amount of knockback we have, or knockdown if you convert, it's really about keeping them off their feet while you damage.

  16. Carnie mission uploading. Die a few times, usually on multi-boss fights. My favorite was 3 Dark Ring Mistresses in the pack, one a Quantum. It's an hour long so will be a bit before youtube uploads, but you can mark me down soon 🙂 Lol I totally forgot I died on the first group, was a great start.
  17. No issues yet. Made a new mission with custom critters and jumped in to test. No Crashes.
  18. With Hybrid on it was 5:34. Way better. I'm sure I can get the 7 min down, but not to that without Hybrid. I think that's a dps of 242. Better for sure, but still not the target. I may have to make a pylon specific build to do it. I already have -res and procs in my attacks so I need to think about what that would need differently.   19. Ok Ugh. PB pylon 7 minutes lol. I think that's 219 dps if I'm doing the math right. I can upload the video if anyone wants, but it's way out of time limit. Edit to say I had hybrid off. Going to run another test with it to see what it does.
  20. Another idea is how many things can you tank on Monster island before you die or hit aggro cap and can't die. We do this on tankers.
  21. Here's what I learned about carnies. Groups of 3 bosses will down me sometimes. I was able to escape sometimes, but did die a few times too. Double Dark Ring Mistresses with a Master Illusionist is hard to manage. Otherwise I found a really good rhythm. I'd buff up, run in, and Photon Seeker -> Dawn Stike -> Judgement -> Solar Flare, then whatever was needed for what was left. If a boss, likely my ST chain. All in all I started off not so well, but adapted over time and now feel pretty good about carnies. FYI this is on test as they enabled incarnates today so I could skip to T4.

  23. I need to give this proper time and look at the numbers, but overall I like your approach. If we get a time in the light on test server I think these are the conversations we will want to facilitate.
  24. Yeah I’m just thinking the missions, I can keep the fights, but can probably save a few video minutes of me walking down hallways lol. pylon doesn’t need an edit, if it’s not a quick video then I failed lol.
