  1. I haven't played Necro/Time but I do have a Necro/Cold MM and a Grav/Time Controller, so I'm looking at these two characters to give you some combined advice. With the slotting of your pets, I would strongly consider the following procs: Zombies - Overwhelming Force: Chance to KD - Because you have 3 zombies without much special utility of their own, you can get a lot of mileage out of this and they can basically lockdown a boss without any trouble. Grave Knight - Touch of Lady Grey: Chance for Negative Damage and Achilles' Heel: Chance for -Res. Just about every Grave Knight attack has a -Defense component so you can get a lot of mileage out of these -Defense set procs. Lich - Cloud Senses: Chance for Negative Damage and Dark Watcher's Despair: Chance for -Recharge. Again, every lich attack has a -ToHit component so these proc often. Additionally, one of the perks of the Necro set is that they have an extra power that you can load up with pet enhancements, so it's recommended you put most of the generic defense/resist enhancements in Soul Extraction. Note that by slotting procs, you can't get the full 6-slot bonus from the MM sets, but that's okay because you can double up on %Recharge in Mark of Supremacy. You've slotted a lot of Slow sets into your Time powers which only reduces the moment speed of your enemies, which is generally not super valuable (-Recharge is not enhanceable). I would look at using ToHit Debuff sets in Time's Juncture and Basilisk's Gaze in Distortion Field for the 7.5% Recharge. Also, this will go help with you and your pets' tankiness. On the same vein, I'd consider picking up Night Fall in the Soul Mastery epic pool to spread some more ToHit debuffs and basically soft-cap everyone's chance to be hit. One weakness of all MM sets is that the pets are a lower level than you, which means the minions have a very low chance of hitting, especially when you're doing +3 missions. Time has a lot of defense debuffs to help with this, but I'd look at getting your Zombie's %Acc slotted higher and also consider swapping Assault for Tactics in the Leadership pool, or take both. I'm not sure you'll get much use out of Soul Tentacles when you've already got a -70% slow in Distortion Field and a Lich casting Soul Tentacles. Likewise, having a 2nd hold in Soul Storm will be a very situational perk. I see this as a place to pick up Assault or Combat Jumping. I was about to attach my take on this build, but Mids crashed as I saved the file, and now it's gone. Let me know if you have any comments or questions, though!
  2. I've done another pass through this build, dropping Mace Mastery so I could get Sleet (and Frozen Armor to replace Scorpion Shield). The build has soft-capped S/L defenses and is basically perma-hasten/dom, but resists are a little low (49% S/L resists). I would still appreciate any feedback! 3. Dominator is the last of the non-heroic archetypes I have yet to level. I've started working on this plant/earth build, and it's been a lot of fun although on the occasion something gets around my CC I feel super squishy. In any event, I haven't found too much guidance for how to slot either of these power sets. I'm sure opinions of /earth are still evolving as the patch was so recent. Anyways, in my build, I've got softcapped S/L and, assuming modest uptime on the Force Feedback proc in Heavy Mallet, should be able to maintain perma Dom and Hasten. However, the slots look a little clunky to me, and I don't know if I'm missing some obvious potential upgrades or something. Any feedback is appreciated! 4. Is Creepers like a short-term pet that follows? Or is it a targeted AoE that can be used once every few groups? Also, isn't it mostly just an immobilize with some damage attached?
  5. So I've been enjoying my first Dom: Plant/Earth, but I'm not familiar with either set and was wondering if there's certain powers I can safely skip or that I'm just not understanding the value of. I've got a Grav/Time Controller at 50 so some of my experiences with that have been guiding me. With the secondary: Power boost in Earth Assault seems redundant with Domination. Also, do I really need 3 ST melee powers and 2 ST ranged powers? It seems like once I've got enough recharge for perma-Haste, I can drop a few attacks and keep a full rotation. With the primary: I've currently skipped Entangle, Spore Burst, and Spirit Tree. No qualms about Entangle. I wouldn't usually bother with an AoE sleep but maybe it's valuable to help offset the squishiness of a Dom? I feel like things can go south really quick and I end up in the hospital often. And Spirit Tree looks fairly underpowered considering the 3m20s recharge. Am I correct? Also, I just hit 26 and was excited to train Carrion Creepers but it's got a 6m recharge!! I thought this was a staple power for Plant... Any feedback is appreciated!
  6. I believe Tornado procs Force Feedback for the player when it is cast (with a very high rate of procing due to the base recharge of Tornado). I don't know if it has any effect on the Tornado pet's abilities. Likewise, I haven't played with the Chance for build-up proc, so I can't say for certain, but I would assume it benefits the player upon casting Tornado.
  7. I've done another pass through this build in order to improve gameplay a bit, specifically by slotting a more recharge-heavy set into SC and LR and by re-arranging when certain powers are trained to improve exemplaring. The end result is soft capped defenses, 85/85/41/41/43/43/43/30 S/L/F/C/E/N/T/P resists which puts me at the S/L cap with a single proc from the Tanker resist ATO proc. Also, some extra regen and heal/absorb procs to make up for the lack of self-sustain in the SD and EM. Any additional feedback or suggestions are still appreciated! 8. So I've finally gotten my controller up to the level cap and started working on incarnates. I was feeling very squishy on the occasion someone made around all the control, so I picked up Mind over Body from the Psi Mastery pool and focused a bit more heavily on ranged defense and S/L resists. In my Time's Juncture I'm effectively defense capped with 65% S/L to back me up. It's made for a huge improvement to pick up these defensive layers. Additionally, since chipping away with 2 single target damage powers is kinda tedious, I slotted some extra damage procs in Lift and Gravity Distortion. Propel just seems too effective at proc'ing Force Feedback to pass that up. Anyway, I just wanted to share my take update to see if you had any comments or criticisms. And thanks for posting the guide! It was a huge help getting my first character geared up at 50! 9. I've been working on my first Tanker - a Shield/Electric Melee hero that takes advantage of the easy defenses, great AoE, and teleports these two archetypes offer. The character has been a lot of fun and is getting really powerful as I start to hit softcap defenses. I'm just looking to get some feedback on my slots with the goal of efficiently raising resists. Aside from a Spines/Fire Brute farmer, this is my first melee character to get slotted with sets so I'm not too familiar with standard tricks that go into building a tanker or where to put the ATOs, etc. Any help is appreciated! 10. So I've been treating my Gravity/Time Controller as my main as I dive into CoH for the first time since 2004. I've been referencing this build a lot as I level and start to look into slotting sets and learning about sets in general. I have a few general questions for you on the direction you went with this build. Do you feel it is "squishy" with the relatively low defenses, or can a Controller get by below the soft-cap due to the nature of their abilities? Is this something that can be resolved by moving into the more expensive tier of sets? If you were to focus on some defenses, would ranged defense make the most sense? Since almost all damage comes from Lift, Propel, and Singularity, would it be worthwhile to slot damage procs where possible? I find that between Distortion Field and the two holds, I can lock down a medium-sized group really well but then it's fairly tedious picking off targets one by one. Thanks for the guide!
  11. Check out https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Exemplar_Effects_on_Enhancements#Set_bonuses and https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancement_Set_Bonuses#Set_Bonuses_and_Exemplaring for behavior specific to the set bonuses. My highest is only level 30, so I'm not too familiar with how sets work yet, but I gather you're correct about the individual enhancement bonus scaling to any exemplar level. Apparently the set bonuses will not work 4 below the level of the IO, so if the set bonus is important you, you need to use low level set IOs. But then end up with lower individual enhancement bonuses.
  12. Can you clarify why you are opting for Set IOs at level 27? Is there something about being able to exemplar down to level 24 that is significant? Otherwise, you could take your Decimation down to level 25, right? Alternatively, would it be worth investing in Attuned sets so the top end bonuses are higher?
  13. So I just created my first Defender- Storm/Fire. I thought a "firestorm" theme sounded cool and wanted to make use of the Freezing Rain/Rain of Fire Combo. This would be a character that levels solo and in teams, so some flexibility is ideal. After comparing different options (Fire/Fire Blaster, Fire/Storm Corruptor, Storm/Fire Defender, and Fire/Storm Controller) I settled on the Defender because I gathered the difference in damage between the Corruptor and the Defender while solo is negligible due to the 30% buff from Vigilance and the increased effect of buffs/debuffs. I'm trying to find some better guidance on Storm/Fire Defender, of which there is almost none! Your post, above, is one of the most comprehensive and relevant summaries of Storm/ I've been able to locate. I was looking through your post history and saw that you seem to be really informed about Defenders/Corruptors so I thought I would get your opinion on the character I made. It seems like Fire doesn't lend itself to Defenders' perks. Will I be better off re-rolling as a Corruptor for the improved performance of Scourge on the Rain of Fire chip damage? What abilities in the Fire Blast set would you take or skip? Thanks!
