  1. Excelsior LFG - lots of trials advertised there. TPN does pop up every now and then. Also, did you think players were not going to use incarnate powers in regular content??

  3. When the HC team took away the rooted stuff due to the stupidly long animation times, I thought it'd be great. Nope. It looks like crap. Your toon is sliding all over the place as it goes through these painfully long animations - I get why but it just looks so, so bad...
  4. Years ago I chatted about this with one of the people that used to work on CoX. Apparently the Arachnos crab model would allow for this...?
  5. I feel the incarnate system has somewhat ruined the game. SO much of the challenge is gone in the end game. I really don't want to see anything else added to make us more uber. If there is a need to add more then do something like reskin the lore pets so they can thematically go with your toon - maybe where you actually design the look of the pet and then you pick from a list for the powers you want to give it. This would make it on par with the current Lore slots. Any additionally stuff should be mostly cosmetic. Please don't add more so our toons can become even more super.

  7. Interesting ideas. I don't like the idea of linear progression for games. It gets way to convoluted and messy in many areas. That is my biggest issue with the 'Who Will Die?' arc and others like it. It doesn't really make sense.
  8. Awesome thread idea. There was a similar thread a bit ago and some suggestions were made. I like the ones made here and they'd be easy adds. You definitely don't want to add too many but some would be great. The one I liked was the Zodiac themed one. Each Zodiac sign would appear randomly (or via triggering event) during their corresponding dates on the Zodiac calendar. Each one will do the usual 6 merits etc rewards and have a unique badge. Once you get all 12 badges, you then get an accolade power - TBD. Accolade power ideas: 1) summon a mini replica of one of the Zodiac GMs that can help fight or buff 2) grant an extra 2% on two attributes (player picks) 3) ....any other options and so on Each Zodiac GM should be slightly larger than the max size of a toon but not as big as the giants like Adamastor or Kronos etc etc. Those guys are just massive. Ideally the Zodiac GMs would be the size of something like God-Champion from SBB. Anyway, a bit of a different wrinkle on fun events.
  9. J-Dawg, thanks for all you've done. It's cool to have peeps like you on here and in game. Don't let whiner-boy get to you. Him and his friends could be cognitively deficient and don't know any better. I suspect this is the case if they can't make slight adjustments to a build.
  10. I've posted my AE idea a couple times and discussed it. Essentially, it's making an alternate AE where Devs control adding missions to game. Players would create basic missions and then Devs screen and drop approved missions into new, regular contacts. These missions would be canon, require players to write up all info needed (Wiki, character info etc) and give regular rewards. I thought leveraging the players to add content would be a great idea. Essentially they'd be radio/paper level missions. This would be a nice change from the the stuff we've had for decades now. The HC Devs are doing a good job but adding content is not easy and they can't keep up with demand. I was told making AE 2,0 for this purpose would be a lot of front end work so I can see why it hasn't been implemented.

  12. Maybe I'm underestimating the time but I would gladly trade an improved Nemesis system for all of the HC mission content (this include the Aeon SF). I know a Nemesis system means implementing the foe into so many things but it might be worth it. I'd also prefer my idea for players to help create CoX missions via AE 2.0 but that isn't looking like it'll happen...le sigh...
  13. Yes good point! Maybe some of the new content could be parts (like the newer Posi TF). I don't mind a bit longer content but yes it does seem most want to do stuff that is under an hour or can get done in under an hour. I am also the guy that wants concise dialogue and not so much that you can't catch/see all of the word bubbles/dialogue boxes. Also, I despise any mission where only the leader gets all the info and the rest are needing to look it up or lead a mish. That's just lame. The Live Devs definitely seemed like they were moving away from the long, drawn out TFs and missions. But the HC Devs have brought the slog back lol
  14. So, content, for this thread, will be story arcs, missions, Trials etc. I'd like to suggest a change to the content being added by the HC Devs. Well, maybe not a change but an addition. Make some of the future content in the style of DFB and DiB. Make it for other levels so maybe like a level 50 version in Kalisti Wharf. It may also be a nice way to add content to the holiday events - the Valentine's Day stuff, among other holiday events, could use some freshening up. Add an iTrial TF kinda like Apex and Tin Mage. Also add a Trial or few. BAF is popular cuz it's fun and quick. The HC Devs have added content but it really does not seem to resonate with a lot of players. It is rare to find a team for these HC created missions and then when you do, the missions are not fun, long, drawn out, info overload and not well put together. I know this sounds a bit harsh but I hope the Devs realize we all appreciate them and their efforts. So, what do you all say? Am I alone in wanting a change in the content being added to the game?
  15. I bought the box copy at the start and had a sub. I agree with a lot of your take. Then they made some changes and I lost access to some of the costume pieces I implemented in my toons and that was the start of the decline. It just became a hot mess after that and it didn't take long to leave that game. I wish CoX would take the good stuff from there (Nemesis system) and apply it here. It would beat adding the same old, same old that we tend to get here these days. Again, I appreciate the HC Devs a ton but please...make some adjustments to the direction you're taking this game. 🙂 The missions have not been good and constantly changing small things is a waste of time for the Devs IMO (giving us these things at start like a Run and jet pack, the exploration badge collecting for a teleporter etc - I'd rather they focus on a Nemesis system or other innovative changes).

    Better late than never! I enjoy a variety of Brutes. TW/Bio is still good. I think my Rad/Stone is pretty good too. It's a fun AT and if you build it properly, almost any combo is great.
  17. Why not just have a button that bumps your toon to level 50 with all the IOs and maxed out incarnates? Even better, right! Also, i wish the Devs would stop messing with these types of things. What was the point of giving us a sprint (I now have to return it and take the one I prefer - Ninja Run) and a jet pack right off the hop. I don't care for all the make it easy stuff. The grind is part of the allure to any game. Sure, it's not always fun but if you remove it then everything is too easy and people grow bored even quicker. Anyway, whatevs.
  18. Isn't there a costume piece request thread elsewhere? Anyway, I digress. Does the HC Dev team have the members to make new costume pieces? In the 4 years I've been here, I really haven't seen much added by way of costume pieces. This isn't a knock on the team or anything. HC Devs are doing a great job and it isn't even their job! Volunteers that are doing some good! Thanks again, HC Devs!
  19. I was also thinking maybe we can have the sidekick system by tweaking the Lores option. Allow us to design the Lore pet - I really don't like having to use CoX lore items on my toons.
  20. Interesting points. However, you say a lot of the elements from these pools are already in game. So what? Many powers are just re-hashing old powers. I'd like to see these items added as they add a new wrinkle and option to making toons. I am a little surprised they haven't been added - they seem pretty easy to implement even if they may need some slight adjustments.

  22. I may try out the Striga arcs with some teams. I don't see many wanting to do it in LFG but I will keep an eye out for them. Story is a part of this game, for sure. However, game play should be #1. That RWZ was not fun. Asymptotic noted some other good points as well. It was just a poorly constructed mission and I don't plan on doing it ever again. I appreciate the HC Devs and all that they do so I hope they don't get upset with this feedback. I feel it's important to provide honest feedback and hopefully others do as well. It should help shape a better game from here on out.
  23. Exactly. I think the AT is a nice change of pace and can be versatile. It's a fun AT for sure. But I have the 1 WS and the 1 PB. The WS has an alternate build and both are tri-form. I've been hoping for a new AT that uses the Kheld form system as a base; the transforming and changing up your primary style is fun. Lots of possibilities here!
  24. So, I haven't gotten to any of the new arcs until today. My SG mates and I went to the RWZ to try out the new Piecemeal arc. Let's just say...no bueno... I won't repeat what most of the others said. It wasn't my cup of tea right from the start. You begin with a long run around (contact to base). Then just a blitz of dialogue that no one can really fully comprehend during the mission. Then just...I don't know. It was bad. Sorry Devs. I do like this game a lot but this arc was not good...at all. What did everyone else think now that it's gone live? Are the other new arcs better? Worse? I'd love to hear from the rest of the Supers!
