  1. I imagine that it's because both of those things, when functioning accurately and properly in a large group of baddies or destroyable objects like in a mayhem, would flood the combat log with so many hits that you wouldn't be able to find anything else.
  2. That miss was only for that one roll. It rolled again each time it announced a terrify, and succeeded. It just doesn't seem to print out the hit rolls when they succeed.
  3. This makes me wonder if somehow hits are filtered out of the log. You might only be seeing the misses. There are a few announcements that you succeeded "You terrify with your cloak of fear". There's just no roll shown.
  4. Summons copying your current costume for Masterminds, like Illusion has. Edit: (probably not for beasts, bots, or demons because of size difference, but humanoids)
  5. Oh, I'm fully aware, and -this- was the motivation behind most anti-XP-farming policies as well. They claimed it was for game balance, but it was really for -time- balance. That mentality sticks around, even when time is no longer what you're paying for.
  6. I've been with the game since launch, off and on. (I played a few months a year usually). Herding whole zones into a dumpster or rail car on a Fire/Ice tank because burnpatch+icepatch and because no target caps. Learning to climb buildings by parabolic jumping on windowsills with combat jumping because SJ wasn't available till after zones started going vertical. Changing enhancements every 5ish levels, and picking your next contact based on which enhancements they sell, since a central vendor wasn't really available and origin mattered. Having to take fitness on -every- build just to keep up with endurance costs. Sprinting for miles and miles. Between the lack of good travel powers and the way that hero missions like to send you from zone to zone, lower level content was just a lot of transit, and teleport pool almost guaranteed you a team. It was a weird time. Fun though.
  7. Ok, so I have this weird headcannon where there are so many supers in paragon/the isles because they're required to be there so that the rest of the country (world?) doesn't have to deal with this BS. That's why the walls and shields. That's why you can't just fly out of town. It's a giant Truman Show situation. This would just amplify the effect in my headcanon. The whole area is a themepark as far as the rest of the country is concerned. As for my advice: Leave, if you can. If you can't, see about getting some gear, just in case. Armor, a weapon, a saferoom, anything to help. This place it crazy.
  8. I want this one to be "stop or I'll make you a porch" for the double entendre, but then, I'm primarily a redsider.
  9. I use mine to announce ambushes. I watch the NPC channel and when I hear chatter from the ambush, I'll hit the battlecry. It's usually some variation of "Incoming!", "I heard interceptors.", "Pretty sure we're being chased." Etc in the tone of the character's personality.
  10. +1x2 is kindof my "baseline" play difficulty. That's where I feel challenged enough without feeling bogged down. Depending on the character's capabilities I'll turn it up if I start feeling like I can handle more. The only exceptions I can think of offhand are brutes (as high and as many as possible) and stalkers (+3x1 up to +4x3 depending on character) Edit to add: My "main", if one with altitis can be considered to have a main, is a Psy/EA/Psy Sentinel. She runs +4x8 firing off PBAoEs constantly.
  11. I'm not gonna go back and forth about this, just giving another angle. As for being kicked by impatient and willfully ignorant teammates... sounds like a good thing. And when it comes to selfishness, I think that's on the person telling you not to use your powers as intended.
  12. Ok because no one answered this, even though its a bit necro. You're doing your math backwards. You need to roll -under- 95 if you have at 95% chance. You rolled a 96.4, which is in the 5% miss range.
  13. I would argue instead of "don't use group fly" maybe the response should be "Educate them. Inform them that they can make that choice at the gull". That's what it's there for, and a more knowledgeable teammate is usually a good thing. No need to nerf yourself.
  14. Rainbow Crew: 2nd place group costumes. It was kindof an impromptu group so they'll have to tag themselves. I'm the purple haired foxgirl wearing the trans flag shirt/skirt as Vix Velvet
