  1. /Dark is so powerful all its powers except Black Hole are great. Petrifying Gaze is probably the second most sacrificable ability but you can stack the mag with your demon prince and dark servants holds. I can't imagine what you'd get that would be better. The "resist set/defence set" thing is blown out of proportion with anything but forcefields. Time, Cold, and Dark are just so good there isn't anything they don't have huge synergy with. With demons you gave an easy time slotting all 6 pet auras. Dark gives enough - to hit the demons will benefit, it also gives control, debuffs, one of the best heals in the game (and I dont evenusually like heals), and some limited buffing. For time, Power boosted foresight with pet aura IO's is going to softcap your pets, and thats just a single power from a set where every power it gives is amazing. On everything but AV's soft control and debuffs will keep your pets alive better then passive defence, but why pick and choose when you can have both? /Cold is godly, like time the +def shields are just one small tool in a massive chest of powers. The shields will help your demons survive but everything else does too. It's the best AV debuffer in the game except perhaps poison which offers nothing else. Colds main issue is it blooms late and works best with a good build. I will conceed that it might not be the best match for demons if someone it just going to use generic SO and IO and isnt good with builds. Investing in a /cold build gives you a higher power ceiling than most other support sets. These three are going to find itself able to offer more to solo or team than demons/thermal and thermal is a great set. Demons/Sonic isnt even going to come close, the pets will still die more often. However /thermal, and /sonic are both fine sets just they don't quite dominate every type of combat you could find yourself in like the above three.
  2. My 1st level 50 was thugs/cold. I've had her there for over a month
  3. Cold, Dark, and Time are easily my vote for the three strongest support sets in the game. They are all amazing with demons or anything else.
  4. It would be so much better as an auto even if they lower the total heal buff from it.
  5. Medicine pool needs a buff for sure.
  6. The pet collision makes teaming very annoying sometime and makes roleplaying also annoying . There is no reason it should remain how it is.
  7. The heal on aid self is incredibly weak I don't see why it needs to Have an interrupt mechanic. It's not a game changer it's a minor utility for added sustain. I believe the interrupt on the Snipes is meant to teach people they are not useful to charge up in the middle of a heated fight. But I don't think Inforcing better play by penalize in things is a good idea so get rid of the interrupt there 2 Is there no interrupt on aid other?
  8. Primares are easy to judge because they all fill the same role in the same way. We can just see what does that better. Secondaries are harder because they are vastly different. Even those that are easy to single out as being particularly weak like Empathy or Force Fields are still very good in a more narrow range. Perhaps the better conversation is what secondaries Have particularly good or bad synergy with master minds or certain mastermind pet sets. So I'll offer one up: Empathy is a fairly poor support set in general, though far from useless. It's worse on masterminds though as its biggest strengths, great single target buffs and sustain, are not that useful to us. When solo we can't keep the good empathy buffs on all our minions and things like regeneration Work better the larger the target's health pool is. Our minions have very low health. When on a team it's foolish to give your minions any of the buffs at all. Empathy's secondary Focus of healing Won't keep your pets alive and will have ever diminishing value after you hit 50.
  9. The stealth power pool changes are great. Actually makes it a decent choice now. Thank you so much.
  10. The mastermind epic power pools are really unimpressive. Very few masterminds take a damaging attack because they deal so little damage and the few that do take the attack only take it because they get bored with whatever else they're doing and simply want another button to push. Many of the other abilities Offer things that are Almost completely useless. All of the patron power pools are practically the exact same thing with different elements. There are minor differences but It feels like a complete waste to be offered a selection of things and then have nearly all of them be just the same thing. You're proposed changes sound pretty good. I would be very happy with all of them. You're charge mastery and mu Mastery being A ranged counterpart to that is actually very good Take on to similar power sets unlike the similarity between all the patron pools right now. Whatever the case when I look at pretty much any other class they have a lot of good things in at least several different epic choices. The mastermind pools are lucky if they find something useful in the same cool as a damage Or resist shield
  11. I would definitely like your button that allows May to export a color scheme for powers to all my alternate costumes rather than have to color them all one at a time. I definitely like the option of being able choose different colors for each outfit if I want to, but I seldom want to.
  12. Well, first I don't think all that pacing of the turtle is needed. Snow storm is nice but it works really well straight out of the Box you put one and reduction IO in it and it's good for ever. I would instead look to fully slotting maneuvers as many defense sets have very nice bonuses. Benumb is amazing but not something you need to spam. It really doesn't need the endurance reduction. You can use this extra slot to put in hover for the knock back protection IO or the stealth IO. Heat loss does want more slots than snow storm. The slow on it isn't that big a deal though. If the 5 and 6 piece set bonus for pacing isn't important to you heat loss can do well with 4 slots just Max its accuracy and recharge. You don't have the powers to make it a good and drain and it already slows plenty. Combined with your other abilities you Don't really need to worry about slowing people more. For the pet slotting, I recommend 5 parts Of soul bound allegiance in the assault bot. Then one of the auras. This last part is subjective but the best part of superior mark of supremacy is the 2 piece set bonus. I think you will get better mileage out of putting 2 pieces of this set in your protector bots. Then a different 3 pieces in your battle drones. Make one of the pieces in the drones the aura. Make sure both enhancements that go in the protector bots give accuracy. Now you can throw 2-4 auras in the protector bots. If you want to use the 4 piece set bonus from a superior command of the master mind you would put more auras in D protector bots so that you can put four superior command of the master mind in your battle drones. If not and you feel more in a frankinslot mod Add defence + endurance ion in protector bots. Then possibly one accuracy damage hamidon origin and place The remaining auras in the battle drones. This whole Last part is just how I like to do it. Mileage may vary.
  13. Unplayable: Ninja/Trick Arrow The sets each have issues but also have good workable points too. When paired together though that's shot to hell. The two sets magnify each others weaknesses rather than playing strengths. This is unfortunate as I know people play this for thematics. Unstoppable: Pick Demons, Necromancy, Robots, or Thugs. Then pick Dark, Cold, or Time. Congrats you are god. Three of these four also add some self healing to the pets fixing cold combinations sustain issues. Overrated: Bots/force field - For group play this is a very nice combo. You make your team very hard to kill and dont have to constantly resummon. This is often considered a solo build though where it's very mediocre at best. The bots survive well and that's it. Other sets can keep your robots alive and provide huge benefits elsewhere. Anything with Empathy. It's a badd support set but the things it does well our best paired with really high support modifiers which the mastermind doesn't have so it's even Worse for master minds. Also overated: Anything with kinetics. This one is hard for me to explain because kinetics as a mastermind secondary is amazing there is no reason anyone should be shy about making what they are very powerful very useful. The only reason I have to mention them as overrated is because a lot of people seem to not understand math. To put it simply kinetics is not exponentially better for a master mind than it is for a corruptor or anyone else. If all the masterminds pets get a 25% damage increase then the masterminds damage goes up by 25%. The same that anyone's damage goes up. Kinetics is capable of much more than 25% increase but I'm just using the number as an example. 6 pets each with a 25% increase increased total damage by 25% not 150%. But other than people thinking it works like that kinetics is great on any mm. Some synergy: Bots or thugs + Dark. I think this one is so well known it doesn't need to be explained. Ninja/storm: Ninjas are fragile. Provoking enemies and acting as a pseudo tank will keep your ninjas alive. With storm the enemy's will focus you but have nearly no luck actually attacking you. Meanwhile they are D buffed and the ninjas are free to Act as expert assassins. Mercs/Storm: Amusingly another low powered set works very well with a poorly understood secondary. With this one you don't act as a tank you just create massive chaos well your entirely ranged pets Take heavy advantage of the situation From positions of relative safety. Some of your crowd control methods also stack with your pets. Storm can work this way for any ranged set but I mentioned mercenaries as it's one of the few secondaries that really helps mercenary shine. Thugs/Sonic : This combination brings out many of the strengths of the rare sonic support. Thugs shine many places but sonic shines bright with thugs. You your ranged stay safe, you have a great anchor for your rings. The T9 keeps things burning. Demons also has very good synergy with sonic. Necro/Cold : One of the strongest support sets in the game One of the strongest support sets in the game this combination like the one above is about making cold domination shine brightest. Necromancy has the best control of any primary it also has a lot of to hit buffs and can provide all pets and the master mind with self healing. Combine this with the defense increases of cold, As well as its good coverage of necromancies biggest elemental weakness, Some of the best debuffs in the game, And lots of soft control You are like a reality warper that shapes the battlefield to whatever you desire. With all the pet auras, leadership, - to hit, and cold domination You're normally squishy but powerful undead will be very difficult to kill and when they do take damage they will be able to heal themselves up Thanks to high resistance in nearly every non physical element. Edit: I consider necromancy to be behind in power from demons thugs or robots but definitely ahead of all the others.
  14. We know that alpha is a global enhancement and works fine with pets. We know that hybrid doubblestrike toggle affects our pets too (and does wonderfully) but does the passive damage boost increase their damage? DO any of the passives affects pets? Do all the active toggles affect pets, such as the radial control toggle?
  15. I Do not like This idea at all. Well hasten is incredibly popular and many builds want it I feel it's in a good place. So many builds Have been made to work around the use of this power That changing it would have a rather drastic impact On things.
  16. Talk to nearly anyone and they will say this is a good idea. I support it. It should even be that difficult to do.
  17. Many people have already pointed it out but caves every one blocks everyone and if your pets are blocking someone it is because someone is blocking them. The best thing you can do is just let some people move ahead of you if you know they run through and try to make sure your pets follow you. I have gotten minor complaints but they were mostly joking I've never had someone complain about me being a master mind though I'm sure those people exist. They seem to be quite a minority though so I wouldn't let them get to you
  18. Vengeance is amazing. Though I would really like to see the leadership our pool buffed for masterminds. Both I magically and mechanically it makes sense that we would have better numbers than blasters but we don't. Unless you never team up at all if you are going into leadership pool you should probably take vengeance it is amazing. You cannot use it off your own dead pets but that does not mean it is not phenomenal.
  19. On most any sort of content where you have to jump from objectives that are far apart you are going to suffer as a mastermind. On the bright side when you're in the bowl your pets should do wonderfully. Sometimes you just have to wait it out a bit and since the pylons all die individually very fast there's not a lot you can do anyway with your pets there.
  20. In caves everyone blocks everyone. If your pets are having problems moving it's probably because someone is standing in the doorway blocking them. It's just the nature of the map. You ran into some Jack asses. It happens occasionly but the vast majority are perfectly fine with masterminds. You should also probably get used to it because you're gonna get a lot more complaints about being a petallous mastermind end game than you are about being a demon's user in a cave
  21. How exactly would one slot bonfire for this?
  22. I can't help much. If you actually use hover in combat and not just to hold that enhancement you will want some fly speed in it. I take hover on almost everyone but its base is annoyingly slow. The upgrade powers already cool down in seconds. Endurance reduction is far more useful in them. You are also crippling your assault bots accuracy with that set up. You could do fine with just the 4 piece superior command of the mastermind in the drones and use the 2 extra spaces to hold pet aura buffs you have in your assault bot and protector bots to better enhance them.
  23. Looking forward to abusing our new radiation secondary now. A few questions. The AOE targeted slow. On most sites it mentions it debuffs recharge, movespeed. And regen. When I look in the game I dont see the recharge part. Am I missing it? With lower hold duration and even less reason to melee that most other radiation users, is there any reason to take choking cloud? Similar question with EMP the two power. On paper it looks like it's a power that's going to drop my toggles and prevent me from healing my pets for a while without being useful that often. What's the general consensus on this power?
