  1. Well yes, this whole idea is to take what CO has for the system and improve it to make it filler and more rich in content. The idea was good Cos exacution was terrible and I personally believe that the devs on CoX can do better then cryptic.
  2. Right and i do appreciate the thought and such solutions work, if not well. I believe my apparent "aggro" (i believe you said that in terms of hostility?) is because similer alternative solutions have come across as "just do this, its good enough" which I find to be counter productive to trying to improve the game. I'll just reiterate that I know the devs can't really work on the game due to copyright (even if the devs of pirates of the carabbian online devs have done similar, but that's probably because Disney doesn't care) So these suggestions are for when they get the rights as I believe they will.
  3. while true about that its pretty difficult to get that done smoothly in game without having to use external programs for things like coordination between the officers, meanwhile this "rivalry" system would allow for the communication of both SGs with each other in game, if anything i'd say at least have an officer chat so that both group leaders can communicate with each other and coordinate from there.
  4. i thought i outlined what kind of missions i was talking about, "some missions can be more of a "race" to see who completes their objectives faster, or it could be a completion struggle where there is a bar to fill red on one side blue on the other with a line in the middle, the more one side completes objectives the more their side fills the bar." being one such mission. also how many people do pvp? no seriously because as far as i know no one goes to the arena and also keep in mind of the theming not many people do. for someone actsually interested in pvp would they want to fight heroes/villains in a sports like arena game? or with their SG buddies against another SG while trying to rescue/kidnap someone or any other villain vs hero trope? i'd say the second one because it fits more with the games theming, those that don't give a F about that have the arena. as for actual PVP missions you obviously have things like team death match for the basics. aonther is trying to kidnap civilians and the heroes have to stop the villains from doing so, essentally you have the object people want and two end points one for villains, one for heroes. the objective is to bring the civilian to the teams respective goals, you can take a civilian from the enemy team by knocking out the person that the civ is following, they will start to fallow you once you do, first to 10/15/20 civs wins. that's along the idea's i was thinking of its a mix of PVP with PVE objective completion. base raids were not part of the idea.
  5. and that's your opinion. MMO's don't grow by not making anything substantial, though not that COH would have a choice if they can't get ahold of the rights.
  6. and what do you purpose in place of a sub for some form of payment method? larger donations? because money is needed for larger scale content drops.
  7. see you understand what type of nemesis system I'm talking about! you can see the potental that such a system in CoX could have. I think that such a system can be made ONLY after the games rights have been securely handed over to the dev team, once thats done and they start charging a sub so they can have the time and money and eventually man power to think in bigger way do i think that such systems can be built and personally i would gladly pay a sub for the game if it means more content, more frequently thats also just fuller when it comes out. both systems would actsually need both the rights handed over and the devs to be getting paid for this to be implemented in any serious way but i think thats all possible.
  8. wow did think someone would break down what im saying so thoroughly. but lets take this from the top and collectively put all the files and emailing BS in one response, one shouldn't have to go outside the game to share such things in game, it was a throw away part of the idea to begin with as it doesn't really add much to the game meanwhile your way of sharing enemies is the first time i've heard of it being done that way, not even sharing the files through discord? meanwhile the nemesis system is NOT the same as the missions in game. you ever play a game called champions online? if you haven't don't its a failed attempt to usurp the spotlight from COH back the day but it came with a couple good idea's that it never capitilized on. one of these was the nemesis system, where you created a villain to be your arch nemesis, you would choose their costume, choose their power set and their minions and personality and the game would automatically make them powerful boss level enemies at your level when ever your encountered them, after their creation their minions would attack you at random times, dropping a mission starting item to have you stop one of your arch enemies schemes, they would also appear along side bosses unannounced to help the boss your fighting. it was a good idea that never got the attention is deserved to be great, which is why i purpose it now on COH because i think the system would work on this game and the devs could make it better then CO while the system itself would add more PVE content to the game. also please don't try and tell me simple things like the devs not being paid, i know that which is why this is labeled and IS a suggestion, something for their consideration, its not a demand.
  9. First off, im not unaware of this, however my suggestion is part of the nemesis system and would be allowed to happen in game this is like telling someone "why use card when you can just go to the bank every time you want to spend some cash?" because its a pain in the rear to do, first off why would you suggest emailing AE enemy costume designs then fiddle with the game files to send it to your SG members? thats a very annoying serious of tasks to do, im not trying to mod skyrim or oblivion here. the whole point of the nemesis system is that you create your own personal rival whose costume and powers are made similarly to the AE enemies are, this bad guy/good guy can be in paper missions you do as an ambush, have the minons who you also customize while making your rival ambush you as you explore the open world, pop up in newer content (as to not muddy the waters of the worlder group missions like the hydra) this is not just some round about way to share AE enemies, that suggestion was just so if your SG AE mkaer is trying to make storylines for each character they could also use your nemesis within the AE mission, even have multiple SG memeber nemesi working together in an AE mission
  10. wait super groups allow both villain and hero members? since when? besides that doesn't even make sense thematically, i mean gameplay wise i can see it as sometimes the villain side doesn't have a lot of people in it so allow villains into a hero centered SG. however even with this...new bit of information i still think the two system can benefit the game a lot. could even make the missions about competing groups alone, could have multiple themed types of group rivals, from things like rogues galleries to rivals to cometitors etc etc. each with missions focused on that theme and in future updates more types of missions. the nemesis system is more of a personal rival you can make, would still add more to the game over all given the AE implementation.
