  1. Dominator might be the class for you. The attacks are split between melee and ranged, the few area attacks that you might have tend to be melee. While dominator will fit the bill, be warned that it's a class with a steep learning curve. You will probably die often while learning the ropes. A well trained and outfitted dominator can be a serious DPS machine, especially for single tough targets. If you can live with low to no ranged damage, better try out one of the melee classes. They all survive much easier.
  2. That would be terrifying. The criminal to normal person ratio seems to be like 10 to 1. I would try to get out ASAP and would try to be very stealthy about it.
  3. As far as i understand, endurance sucking only really helps if you have a recovery debuff going along with it, like some elec powers have.
  4. The branch that Homecoming is using is incompatible with what everybody else uses. Things could probably be ported, but it might be pretty time consuming. As far as i know there is quite some code sharing going on on the other servers, they are all derived from the ourobouros version (afaik).
  5. My Plant/Time controller. The costume somehow really got great, she can solo almost everything and every team she joins will be in god mode. Almost +30 def to all and +50 recharge are hard to beat, and seeds of confusion trivialize almost all content. Feels very powerfull, and controllers are my fav AT. But i do play all ATs and really like most of them. I think sentinels need work and the kheldians have a lot of issues, but CoH is very fun with pretty much all toons.
  6. I heard that regen is actually nice on a sentinel, never tried it yet. Generally sentinel seems to have some changed armor sets.
  7. My tanks are usually height-maxed because i want to have a good overview... and they usually do not hover like my blasters. For all non tanky toons its not important, but i tend to do extremes, because i am normal in real life already :).
  8. On a resist set like elec/ a few points of defense wont make a noticable difference, especially because you can't have debuff resistance for -def, and a lot of foes throw that around. This can change when you can afford a lot of +defense things (mainly IO boni and a few pool powers). At the point where those debuffers will miss most of the time, the defense will help most of the time. So for a god mode tank, yes, get those defense boni. But to build up a resist tank they are mainly useless.
  9. My plant/time controller. Any team with that will breeze through even the hardest content. Giving everybody about +30 defense to all, + 50 recharge, perception and heals and regens.... And practically all foes are busy hurting their buddies while they wait to get "arrested". Since my build has some nice procs, i can also solo just about anything... which is a waste since i can contribute so much to any team.
  10. Peacebringer has a lot of knockback.
