  1. I've just returned to this thread as I'm levelling a red-side widow on Torch, hit the level 24 respec and am using Gulbasor's Build 4 Fortunata guide. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/11319-best-of-both-blood-widower-fortunado-build/ My white side Level 50 Widow, Funnellweb, is a beast, but I wouldn't recommend her unless you have a stupid amount of inf to throw at the build. She is a favourite character of mine, and thus NO expense was spared in making her feel appreciated, but my bank balance felt it. All six Superior Dominion of Arachnos, and all six Superior Spiders Bite, plus all six of Superior Blistering Cold, Ragnarok, Armageddon, Hecatomb, and Apocalypse. All done in the days where you didn't see change from 20 million an enhancement, so a long way to a billion inf just there, at least back then. Then there's the six Shield Wall, six Reactive Defenses, five Panacea etc.... Even all the IOs are at 50+5 1293HP, capped psionic resist (a Widow speciality), resistances running around 35% except energy and negative at 12.5%, 44% damage bonus and 177% recharge bonus so she never ever slows down. Works well with my play style, but oh so expensive.
  2. I have a Pain Domination MM, respecced her for the whip animations, still leveling her (36 ATM). Would really like a whip-based power set, the whip powers I already have look awesome, and I'd love to have a full set of them. I find demons to be too fragile and they don't scale against mobs at +4, they just flail ineffectually. So I use just the whip, magic subset for ranged attacks, defence and flight and when I really need a hench-thing, I call the demon prince. He at least looks impressive.
  3. Mine is a pretty much pure melee build, maxed for regen. The character is very tough, can solo most things and with incarnate powers is very capable. Two ranged attacks plus the incarnate ranged attack, several heavy duty melee attacks, incluidg two area effect attacks, a ton of toggles running to boost accuracy / defence / offence, Mind Link. I'm probably biased as my Widow is my main, played her more than any other toon, leveled her to 50 , then started on the incarnate,, she is now level 4 in all slots, so she can handle almost anything except AVs quickly. She can usually wear AVs down in the long run, as long as she survives their signature uber-hits. If she does she regens back into the fight and I have the incarnate heal for backup.
  4. As Apogee pointed out, the only use for Shards after opening your Alpha is to convert ten of them to ten threads every time you have ten in your inventory. Then its threads all the way.
  5. I play to play with my friends. If they are not on I bring out the second account and loaf up the Fire / Spines Farmer and take a newbie through Fire Scorchers on +4x8, 15 minutes has them at level 20 with 2 x Exp from the P2W vendor. Rinse repeat a few times because I have come to despise the 1-20+ grind, and the DFB even more. Recently created a Kinetic defender I'm dragging to 50 precisely to make the Farmer even more efficient, the money and purple drops I get are used to support fitting all my alts with Sets, usually by 25-27 they are usually kitted out with sets. Probably farmed 3+ billion, kitting out some 25 characters, including 6 x 50s with both Archetype sets. All that so that when my friends are on we can go do the hard stuff and my toons pull their weight.
  6. I run fire / spines brute and have found the following to be great farms, I run them on +4x8 If it's quick exp you are after, do a search on AE for 'witches', one that will come up is 8954 "Defeat the Fire Witches (Tickets and Inf Fire Farm). Its an actual farm site and the surrounding area, you can front load the inf gained by chasing down the boss mob, Witch Final Boss, and his retinue. He is an Elite Boss and can be found by looking for the group with the flaming torches. Good exp and plenty of spawns to keep the inf rolling in. The one to look at when you have maxed out your farmer is the City Scorchers mission in AE (12656). Basically it's a city block fight, with most of the large mobs being Bosses and Lieutenants with a few Minions, each mob comes with one or two Elite Bosses. The idea is you rescue the Fire Betrayers who are the glowing white dudes kneeling on the ground. After you defeat each group they are rescued and follow you around, until you have an entire entourage of rescued guys trailing you. You can either find the glowy and finish the mission, or for added fun, find the glowing scanner thingy and click that, it instantly changes all the rescued Fire Betrayers to elite bosses and they attack you (hence the name), given you can have up to 20 or more of these guys following you round, life gets very interesting very quickly, but mad exp and they do drop a lot of orange and a surprisingly decent number of purple recipes. Good hunting
  7. Thank you so much, that answered the question, greatly appreciated
  8. My 50 Archery Blaster has an issue with Ranged Shot, it seems to have a perma-instant cast ring on it, even when out of combat. No target selected, removed the power from the tray, open the powers tab and the power has the ring even there. Definitely not been Control-clicked, it's just auto-defaulting to insta-cast, resulting in less damage and no front-loaded damage to open a fight. Anyone else had this and if so, any solutions? Thanks
