  11. I straight up said that there is confirmation bias at work here. Why are you pushing this point? Again, we are providing solutions we know to have worked. That will not change until we find out something does not. Sure it is possible that some work and some don't. We do know that some combination of these three do work. As for testing busy zone, thank you for doing so. I'm sure that will further help the devs in identifying the cause. As for testing it under failed respec circumstances, neither do we. If we did, we would know the root cause and this conversation would be moot. We would simply say don't do X until it was addressed by the devs. Ideally, sure. In reality, we are not in the position to do this. We do not have the resources as a fully volunteer team to do so even if that would benefit all of us in the long run. Especially since we do have a workable, if not ideal solution, to fix the circumstances. Not going to address this again. You are far too tied up in word usage to be honest. That statement was a hypothetical with a "how many" prior to the because. I'd like to know the answer to what fixes it. If it is any of those or not. The answer to the situation may well be zero for all and it does not change the statement that I would find that interesting. If your hypothesis is correct and untrained levels has nothing to do with it, then we would stop suggesting it; until that time where that is proven to be the case, there is no harm in it being part of our presented solution.
  12. The first thing I would say here is that the two of us (the GM team and yourself) are looking at this issue from two different perspectives. The GM team is not looking for the cause which your tests seem to be focused on. As Kaiju mentioned, that is more of a dev team focus. If we stumble across a solution for the cause or you (generic you) find it, we are more than happy to bring that to their attention. We are looking to solve the immediate issue of a player having a failed respec. Is it possible that just waiting and trying again resolves the issue? Sure, I personally haven't seen that occur. I'm not saying that it hasn't but, I have not had a player comeback to me saying that is what they did and it worked. I have however had them report it worked when they levelled up, or changed zones from a busy one, or left a base. Is that confirmation bias. Absolutely, I don't argue that it is not. But, it is a resolution to the issue at hand which has been confirmed by those impacted to work. Why would we not offer that as the solution based on the information we have at hand? If you wish to test that scenario of just waiting to resolve the failure, feel free. If it is discovered that something is not the cause of the fix we will be happy to no longer suggest it. Has it being debunked? Your two tests and some more confirmations from others proves that? I know what your going to say. It is not always a failure so, yes it has already been debunked. I will say that in the strictest sense that is true. But, some people use hyperbole and it is not always (and I mean that literally) necessary to point out that always means every time. I don't think it is unreasonable to recognize that fact and accept that as a possibility. I won't speak for the GM that touched that conversation or this thread. I do not know if they meant it as always or as hyperbole. But, to be honest it is irrelevant. As I said before, we will take the feedback into consideration. What I think would be more interesting is to see is that of those who do have failure how many of them are because they have untrained levels, or because they were in a busy area, or they were in an SG. The answer may not be that because you have untrained levels it will always fail. It may be that when it fails it is always because of one of these three possibilities. Or it may not and the devs would probably like to know that either way. But from my perspective as a GM, I'd love to find one solution to always fixes that failure. I haven't found it yet though.

Title: Smol KB presents: Us against the world Format: 2-person team Free for All Date / Time: January 30th, 2021 @ 6 PM PST 9 PM EST Where: Indomitable / Pocket D Arena Discord: Smol KB discord https://discord.gg/9N6ktRn Event Overview Match Settings: • 10 minute rounds • T1 Inspirations only • Alpha Incarnate only • Only Arena Temp Powers allowed. Non Arena Temp Powers will be disabled. • No heal decay • No travel suppression • Maps - TBD Rules: • Alpha only incarnate powers. Other incarnates will need to be un-slotted for the event • If a player DC's in the first 2 minutes, restart the match. The rematch will play out regardless of further DC's • No switching characters mid event, you play on the same character you sign up with (multiple builds allowed) • Every match will consist of 8 teams of 2 players in a free for all (FFA) format • If we catch any team farming each other in the corner of a map to stack kills, we will disqualify both teams. AT/Power Restrictions: • Blast sets can be the same, buff/debuff powers must be different, ie: no dual Thermals • Allowed Archetypes: Blasters, Controllers, Defenders, Corrupters, Dominators, Peacebringers (no repeat ATs on one team. Ex. cannot have two blasters or two defenders) • Banned Powers: Gravity Control for Controllers / Dominators, Presence Pool, Sonic Resonance for Corrupters. Teams may elect to run one Sonic or one Force Field, but not both. Objectives: • The team's main objective is to make it to the winner’s pool. It will consist of only 3-5 teams. (Winner’s pool may expand based on the amount of participants) • Depending on the number of teams facing off in the winner’s match, prize places will be based accordingly to the final kill scores. (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) • Each round, the team with the most total kills will move to the winner’s pool to qualify for the final event. • If there is a tie for the most total kills between 2 teams in a round, those tied teams will face off against each other for the tiebreaker. (Sudden death win counts) • If there is a tie for the most total kills between 3 or more teams in a round, those tied teams will face off against each other for the tie breaker. (No sudden death) If there is a tie during the tie breaker match, those teams will be put back into the competitor’s pool. • In the event that more than 8 teams register to play, we will divide the competitor’s pool evenly between two (or more) matches. Prizes: • Prizes will be rewarded to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc • Gold titles for top three teams • 1st place will split 2bil influence + 2000 merits (1000ea) + In game Gold Titles • 2nd place will split 1bil influence + 1800 merits (900ea) + In game Gold Titles • 3rd place will split 500mil influence + 1300 merits (650ea) + In game Gold Titles • 4th place highest kills + 1000 merits (500ea) • 9 Raffles - 400 merits each to split between team members Costume Contest: • Couples themed!   16. To clear up a few things, CR Mochi is an addition to the community rep team for PvP along side @CR Banana Man. They are not replacing anyone. Banana Man has done quite a bit of work on the community's behalf including providing the aggregated requests from the community over the past year or so (several of which were addressed in Issue 27, page 1). He has been great to work with and is a big advocate for the PvP community. Mochi came on as that feedback was being shared with the development team including Faultline and was part of those conversations. The Smol KB team is still... well, kicking. @GM Smol is still about but we are a all volunteer team. Sometime life gets in the way. You may have noticed a decrease in PvP events in the last month or two but they are coming back (last night was an example of one). There were a few reasons for this but one of the biggest was the desire of testing of Issue 27's PvP focused changes. Having an event during that time would have taken away focus from that for both the GM/CR team and you all as testers.

  20. If you’re still having issues, I’ll second EmmySky’s advice and recommend trying the Homecoming Launcher. It’s recently out of beta and is easier and a bit more stable in my opinion.
  21. Try deleting tequilia.xml (make sure this is not the one with the shot glass icon), tequilialog.xml, and TequiliaActivityLog.txt. if that doesn’t work, you might try the Homecoming Launcher instead. It is just easier.
  22. If you still getting this error, please close and relaunch the launcher. Let's see if we can force the dl.
