  1. I second crab. They have a little bit of everything. Great party buffs, and great debuffs as well.
  2. Yeah old posi was a slog, and I'm pretty sure i only did dr q once on my main back on live.
  3. I havent played in a while I wasn't aware of this unless you mean heirlooms which are usually only available later in the expansion. Still leveling to 50 here is not a "grind" nor was it a grind on live.
  4. In WoW my friends would ask me to come and just do a normal raid with a pug. "It will be quick, like 40 mins tops." 3hrs later I havent gone to bed, and the group has wiped more times than I can count. Doing a heroic raid with my guild...similar situation depending on how many times we had done it. Coming back to CoH it's really nice to be able to progress with the limited amount of time I have. I was actually disappointed to see that we got all the incarnate mats, without grinding incarnate content or DA. Also even without the leveling buffs here it's still no where near what WoW is for me. When a new xpac is released it takes me at least a week to get to level cap (usually 10 levels). Without the xp buff here it would probably take me about the same. Point being there is nothing even remotely grindy about this game. I will concede that WoW has gotten quite a bit easier in recent years, but it's still a much greater time commitment imo.
  5. I've never been a huge comic book fan, but I do enjoy the genre. I came to CoH back in the day after watching the show Heroes (Net Flix binge watching session). I found Coh from a google search, and saw they had the free 15 day trial, and the rest is history.
  6. For me one of its biggest strengths making me look and feel awesome at everything I'm doing. I'd say build diversity is a huge draw for me as well.
  7. It sounds like you need to go through and read up on what each of your powers do. Anything /time shouldnt be squishy even with so's. If you are planning on investing in sets definitely take some time to check the builds posted in this thread. Sets arent incredibly strong in their own, but their bonuses add up. If you dont have it, I'd suggest downloading mids reborn here on the homecoming site and you can plan out your build from there.
  8. Definitely sounds like you are at ticket cap. I believe 5k is the limit.
  9. Agreed. Before AE we could basically make toons to farm either s/l or fire. I dont see the difference making a farm in AE to do the same thing other than not having to slog through an arc to get to the farm.
  10. Just seperate the hero and villian ATs again problem solved. I never wanted to team with heroes anyway.
  11. I saw a youtube parody on this by a group called "Epic NPC Man." CoH to a T
  12. Fire/dark is the most fun I've had taking a controller to 50. It actually makes a decent farmer too. The build I'm working on is a bit costly, but it really can do everything.
  13. Yes it was for the damage buff. The extra tohit was gravy. Surprised no one mentioned that sooner. Im not really sure why you are even complaining about the to hit mechanic of double stacking rage, when it was pretty much a non issue to begin with. Also there is nothing wrong with one set having an advantage over another in niche areas, since that's what makes each set fun.
  14. The MM is the superhero/villian. The henchmen are there fighting because of the MM. Having buffs/debuffs is what makes the henchmen able to stand toe to toe with supers, and not the other way around.
  15. Working on fire/dark now to be able to do it all. Love the theme of it, and fade is just awesome. I feel like dark affinity outshines /rad once iod.
  16. I tend to gravitate to support over straight up damage. I feel like corrupters utility is more of a fun factor for me personally, since I feel like I'm adding something to a group besides damage. Some people swear by blasters, so different strokes for different folks.
  17. I hated when they mixed the ATs for that exact reason. My kited out ss/invul on live was a tank and dps. I remember getting turned down from an ITF pre GR by a group of heroes because they wanted a dps and not a tank. I just lol'd because they were clueless how strong Brutes were at the time, especially since we could easily roll with a full fury bar.
  18. Does disrupt break hide, and is it even worth using on a stalker? I tried googling, but haven't come up with anything.
  19. Yep I used this combo to farm warriors on live when I was bored of my fire/kin. Fun combo.
