  1. Depends on your play-style and what you hope to accomplish. From my perspective--at vet level 89--the Fly Trap is a total waste, except as you to level to 50, and I re-specced out of it by vet level 40. Of course, I was, and am still running, fire farms, occasional 54/8 PI radio missions and ITF's when the mood strikes me. I use hover though and am not ground based so your mileage may differ. In terms of Incarnates, I now run Agility in my Alpha slot and Ageless in my Destiny slot (I also tried a T4 Musclature and Rebirth). In most situations, your 'killer' attacks are Creepers, Roots, Blazing Bolt, Blaze, Fireball and Fire Blast. With Agility I found my attacks re cycled faster. If you use Ageless, I am not sure what be benefit you will get from Consume. Perhaps, proc it out a bit for more damage? This is a very fun build and can do AE fire farms, 54/8 PI missions and ITF without raising a sweat. I hope you get as much pleasure from your build as I do mine. Please feel free to keep us posted on how it is going.
  2. I don't solo. I always play on a team. Applied to tank/brute and follow once they get the aggro.
  3. Similar to my final build (leveling build is a bit different :) ). I did not take inertial reduction (cuz you know flight packs), but added assault--a lil moar damage never hurts--and moved the xtra slot to health for a Numina's +rec +regen. The fire/kin is more powerful but just want to be different. Against anything but machines/robots, psychic hits like a ton of bricks. Wanted to up the damage with FS. Increase Density is for those times when you jump in the middle of a pack and just wanna Psychic Wail/FS/"arrest". Thank you very much for taking the time to add a sample build. Much appreciated.
  4. I been playing around with Mids and wonder if a psychic blast/kinetics would be viable. Any comments or cautions?
  5. I have taken the below build to 50 and now must enter the dreaded "enhancement? which enhancement?" phase of building. My provisional build is, if the technology gods allow, below. I already possess most of the sets. I am wondering if, in my desire to use those sets, I have wandered off course. There is an empty last slot in Carrion Crawlers that was supposed to contain an Impeded Swiftness enhancement but I could not find it in my version of Mids. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 6. I'm a little late to this party but, if I may, I would strongly suggest the 'classic' splatroller build: Plant/Radiation. It is in force before level 10 with the most damaging aoe immobilize in the any Controller power set--Roots (your level 2 power choice). Rad already gives a PBAOE team heal (radiant aura) right from the start. Once you get Seeds of Confusion (level 😎 8 your basic rotation is set--aoe confuse>aoe immob. and repeat the roots tossing in the occasional Strangler (level 1 hold) or aoe confuse. Endurance will be a bit of a problem. It appears you love the Dark powers and Radiation as a secondary should give you the warm fuzzies-- infection-- a negative to hit and negative defence on that boss mob, lingering radiation an aoe to generally debuff (-res -rec slow) mobs, etc., enervating field, another aoe debuff (-dam -res) plus the always useful Accelerated Metabolism, a team PBAOE that buffs damage, recovery, recharge and provides status protection. All of the above by level 12 !! Yes there is a pet and yes carrion creepers is nasty but they come on much later. Your team mates won't care about the pets as you help flatten GMs and AVs with your debuffs and buffs. You will control and you will be the asset every team wants. Give it a go.
  7. Well time has probably passed it by, but I would suggest one of the original 'splatroller' builds: plant/rad. It comes online very quickly. You will very quickly have roots, seeds of confusion, a pbaoe team heal, the ability to negate damage a la Dark, etc. If you are soloing you have the most damaging aoe immobilize of all the controller sets in roots. You eventually gain the Fly Trap pet but before that you can also get carrion crawlers which is another nasty aoe. Rad gives you a pbaoe stun, a pile of debuffs and additional safety. The only reason 'splatrollers' disappeared is when NCSoft reduced the number of mobs in an aoe to 10. But it is still quite effective.
  8. Thanks for the speedy response. Keep an eye out for Raine Forrest.
  9. I am slowly working up a plant/storm troller--only 7 at the moment. Is there a specific level to reach or do I just join in and get exemped up? I love static groups, though, often times, they seem to peter out. An SG devoted to it is cool. If I can just join in then I will transfer my character over to Excelsior.
