I have to agree with this. IMO it's not that you can't make energy blast work, but what argument is there to even take it at all? It's fairly easy to make arguments for most of the other blast sets as to why to take them, but energy blast's selling point is "you can make it work". Now that being said, with high end builds it isn't necessary to have only "the best" sets. If it fits your toon and you like it, energy blast is just fine. Have at it.

For me it depends on how busy the secondary is. I love my Water/cold and she is pretty damn powerful. I just drop Sleet and start blasting. However on my pistols/pain I feel like I spend far to much healing and buffing and not much free time to blast, and often feel like I would have been better off to have rolled him as a defender. Now this may just be my perception, but in the endgame content, I feel like the difference between them is Negligible. Once you take into account procs, IOs bonuses, incarnate powers/passives, most toons are pretty tough, and deal more than enough damage. This makes larger buff/debuffs numbers less important, but it also makes more damage fairly pointless too. There's never really been a time where I feel like "if only that defender was a Corruptor" or vice versa.

So upon further testing, it turns out I am getting the DoT effect on the snipe with Disintegration up. There was such a delay before the ticks started and the disintegrate message appeared that I just thought it was the DoT from the disintegrate power.

As the title suggests, with the changes to snipe is it even possible to get the DoT on the snipe if the target has the Disintegrate debuff on it? it won't trigger when I do the fast snipe so I can only assume you don't get it unless it's the long cast snipe, but if you use the debuff first the snipe switches over to fast cast, so how can you ever get the bonus effect? Any insight?

It does provide all that for the team. The power details only shows what it provides you. Many of the power details in the game are incomplete.
