BAB is, despite all his valiant service and supposedly at his own request, not a full Phalanx member. Yin, though she has replaced Sister Psyche's TF, technically doesn't become a FP member until post Signature Story Arc 1 which came late into the game's live life. And technically never reached fully implementation as I recall as it was still in Beta Server?

  2. Wow, ran through this place with player test buffs off, gotta say the minotaur is legit scary and I can only imagine how tough he'll be for full raids to take down when he can smack you hard enough to one shot you even with player buffs. Cute names for his powers, by the way. Stumbled on one, I think, secret room but I didn't notice any badges. It looked a bit like a snowglobe interior given it was, well, a big dome with ice and snow. I might also recommend NOT using Dream Doctor was the trainer in the Midnighter club as it's kind of a huge spoiler if you haven't done Dark Astoria stuff.

Edit: also want to add that the enemy variety was great, though you do kind of notice it how some mobs do have EBs they can spawn with and plenty others don't. Not sure if that's something you'd be interested in changing or not. Similarly, as noted by some others, would love seeing others added in even after launch (like Blackwing). I might even suggest maybe there should be a rare chance for a mob's faction AVs to spawn as well to fight. And now this is a personal thought, but I also would suggest against maybe these 'versions' of the mobs counting towards defeat badges, just maybe.

they have modeled themselves on greek/roman folklore (heracles, odysseus, orion), which could include the Amazons

Amazons stem from Greeks being unable to comprehend women being allowed to fight alongside men in the Scythian Steppe Riders who inspired them that they invented a society of all-women and warriors.

And before you say that it's bad/wrong/whatever I'd like to point out two things:

    1) The Warriors are a villain group, villains do bad things.

    2) The Warriors have modeled themselves on warriors from history and historically only men were warriors.

And then there's this, Look, if you want the costume parts, that's one thing and is reasonable, but if you want evil muscle women, we have the Talons of Vengeance, Knives of Artemis, Arachnos, Tsoo, Cimeroran Traitors*, Skulls, Crey, and presumably the Rikti, Fir Bolg, and Tuatha De Dannan. And if we look into groups who should also have muscle women in them there would be Freakshow, Malta (okay, not sure how buff their women would be compared to KoA), Hellions (not sure GFFHs count in the muscle department). Lost, Dockworkers, Rogue Isle Police. So why wouldn't there be at least a few villain groups who are not politically correct? As it is, the fact that many villain groups in the game are depicted as heavily cosmopolitan and from various minority backgrounds while many major hero groups are made up heavily of males (Wyvern, Legacy Chain, Paragon Police Department) and/or white (Freedom Phalanx and Vindicators) makes blueside look less like 'City of Heroes' and more like 'City of the MAGA'.

TL;DR: I want to punch sexist assholes as a hero too.

*interesting thing to notice: there are female Cimeroran Traitor Centurions, but no female soldiers in Imperious' loyalists. This suggests Romulus' willingness to recruit anyone and that Imperious, despite ostensibly being a 'good guy' is still a largely conservative values of ancient Romans.

You are known by many names... Sensei, Shogun, Kage, Lord. What you are is a Master of the most deadly assassins the world has ever seen... You are a Ninja Master. Command your Ninja Henchmen and even train them in new weapons and techniques. Ninjas have superior reflexes and can even super leap. Their training makes them highly resistant to Confusion. Ninja Henchmen cannot be resurrected.

Mythical/Elemental Blast - This server has NO magic power sets whatsoever except for the sorcery secondary. It would be nice to add a touch of magic to the game.

Demon summoning, Necromancy, and ninjas to a lesser extent say “hi”. To be honest, this is a huge pet peeve for me that these sets are ultimately arcane in nature, especially ninjas as you spend the first two tiers of pets with martial arts and assassination masters then suddenly; BOOM! Mystical Oni!

  6. It would not be possible at all, even if the game had a live team, but I’ve been playing Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and watched the Shiva fight from Harryhausen’s Sinbad and would love a Snake GM with multiple arms (four or six) that uses modified dual blades.

  7. My own idea for Omega is kind of similar to the OP, though instead of just being an alpha copy, it basically allows you to strengthen/diversity any one of your previous incarnate slots. also I’d name each type of Omega slot after a mythological deity. (Yahweh for the alpha slot because alpha-omega, Rama for judgement due to the myth of nuclear arrows, Odin for Lore because your summoning essence of fallen warriors, etc)

  8. Gaia Redeemer, being a reincarnating warrior who has been fighting since ‘mutant origin’ meant ‘Neanderthal’ would probably insult enemies like this…

    Warriors: *Angry Ancient Greek noises*

    Tsoo: *Angry Vietnamese noises*

    Fifth Column: *Angry German noises*

    Council: *Angry Italian noises*

Circle of Thorns: *Angry Oranbegan noises*

Tuatha De Dannan/Fir Bolg: *Angry Irish Gaelic noises*

Red Caps: *Angry Scots Gaelic noises*

    Arachnos Mu: *Cancelled Oranbegan noises*

You can outright buy Prismatic Aether Particles off the auction house. During Halloween you can get about 50 free, more if you have alts. And Aether particles allow you to get NPC appearances that are otherwise impossible for players to recreate (in most cases) due to them not being made with the same base model/skeleton as a player. In the case of some of the premium effects, it basically grants you another aura slot and one based on powersets your character might not have access to.

  10. I just want to say, in defense of the unlock choice, it's fine and I think it's a little hurtful people thinking this is going to lead to the dev team deciding to go Ubisoft levels of idiocy with unlock systems. The Mongoose Badge costume pieces might push towards redside, but what's wrong with that? People rarely play redside so here's a new incentive for it.

  11. I really hope that “Very Soon(tm)” actually is… I hate feeling so impatient but seeing the sneak previews and such I am so damn hyped and want to see the new shinies live! Argh! Not helped I’m waiting for Valheim to bring out Ashlands, Minecraft to launch its next update, and won’t get an update for Final Fantasy XIV until summer now. Argh, I’m in Soon(tm) hell!

  12. Honestly, the Council Radios and Yins are just a side effect of both groups originating from launch content and not having been as well designed for higher levels of play even by launch content levels of power players could get to. (Just like so many TFs featuring normal bosses as if they'd be a challenge for 8 man teams) They've gotten some incremental additions like Galaxies, Super Stunners, etc. but they still lag in powerlevel compared to, say, Arachnos. It feels especially egregious with Freakshow because they've had interesting additions given to them but they end up being only one offs like Sneaky Freaks, Rikti Freaks, and Noise Tanks.

  13. I have but only because they were pointed out to me back on live. Along with a character file for 'ArchAngel Michael' found in the game files suggests the live devs might have planned to delve into JudeoChristian mythology at some point.
