  1. I'm glad that this game has come back. So I'm expecting tons of hate once I post this. So Please be respectful. City of Heros is in my books one of the best games that have had many memories over many years. A Book worthy master piece that thankfully lives on. But war is in our midst. Filled to the brim with People who hate on others. Monuments taken away, Players hurting every few months because they aren't good enough in the eyes of it's creators or it's communities. A common misconception has been routed deep and long before something we call the AE. Yes I am talking about the Farmers vs The Community. This war I speak of is a daunting experience. A means to force them away. Bringing up the topic evokes the Creators wrath and often filled with painful shouts in both in game and forums alike. The very second a player say they farm are immediately put down. Hunted down like a sheep to the slaughter. And I say war because of how we are being forced into silence. Our buildings destroyed by the very people we have invested in *donated*. Our experience and our economy repeatedly attacked. *xp/influence* We are humans behind a computer just like the rest of the community. We spend just as many hours clicking away, defeating foes working on our builds and many of us myself included do the content. Join task forces and badge collect. I'm not saying every farmer follows the rules and those individuals should be the ones who get the sentence. But the rest are just playing the game their way. How they enjoy it. And how they feel is right for their needs, their individual play styles. So why does the community want to punish players for how they enjoy their time. Respect those who want to enjoy the game their way Please. Life has enough Problems. Why add more to the pot online. This war needs to stop. Enough is enough.
  2. As I do my fair share of farming I can say with certainty that the company wont get another dime from me when it comes to donations with the hate and pure disrespect towards farmers *so yes I have paid in the past*. It's a free to play game sure but when I said that punishing the farmers is bad for the economy I meant just that. Players will flock in and out as needed but those donations came in part from players many of which are farmers. The issue isn't farming. It's the RMT People hear the word farmer and just assume it's a bad thing and so we get slapped for it that even google can't find the answer as to why. I repeat this as much as needed but I will never support farmers who do RMT or sell runs for influence/infamy. And regardless of how they got shut down before I'm sure they want players to remain. after all what would be the point in having the servers up if your just gonna punish players who bring in extra people. And AE brings in a multitude of players. Atlas is booming with role play now since the Farmers had to move somewhere else. Which is fine. But if you want to reduce instances of it then make AE a map in itself. I may not be the one keeping the lights on for the servers but from a business perspective I'd want players to stay regardless of how they play as long as it wasn't cheating or RMT. But hey if you think punishing players, utterly degrading them in forums, to remove AE buildings and Nerfing the grind of xp/inf so low it'll draw them away from AE your sorely mistaken. Farmers already found ways around the nerf. Sure rewards are garbage but we weren't in it for the influence. We were doing it for our play style. The markets are horrible but for a farmer now is the best time to earn. Mainly because it'll cost everyone else who hasn't gotten a build. I feel sorry for all those Atlas folks who gonna do content hit 50 and realize that they can't afford stuff at this rate. So they stand around the globe waiting for a CC or asking for handouts. Like a WoW player in Org lol. So ok lets say the devs hate this and decide to amp it furthermore. They toss AE out like with the SG Raids back in live. Well unlike that being a dead end halt Farmers will now use Missions like the days in live before AE and the rewards are now on par as normal. Plus we get our rewards as well. Nothing changed. The only thing they did was ruin players creativity in AE and the experience of it all. Lets go with another option, Lets say Devs nerf the xp/inf to 0.5x of a regular mission. *which at this point is likly based on trends* Well who needs to level up others when a bunch of farmer can join up, speedkill and rack up inf as they want. What else will the devs do that wont hurt the company in the long run. And when will the hate end. A pointless battle will always result in a pointless outcome. As the saying goes, Haters gonna Hate. Now you can start the hating. Thumbs down and comments welcome lol.
  3. The update hurt and for farm maps to fix it the smash and the lethal had to be upped along with skills we would never have used before on custom enemies. Mine works well now. @ skieth in AE to give it a whirl. The issue now is how to make a build that max the smashing and lethal rez. Even now I die if I take too many on. Personally I think it was a gwad awful choice the devs made. Why punish farmers or AE in general is beyond me. memory serves wasn't that 1 of the many reason they had to pull the plug back in retail? Still like with every good farm farmers will always find a way around it. And if they insist on nerfing AE then farmers will go back to the old PI zone and do the farms there like the good old times. It's a pointless battle. I will say though that thanks to the devs interference on the AE the markets are now in my favor. Prices are going up on nearly everything and I'm racking in over a billion a day now. I spent 3 hours just leaching market gains because its so easy to just pump out influence....oddly enough more so then farming ever did for me. what this also means is new players will slwoly shell out millions just for yellow enhancements vs the undercut of the original cost to make them. Crusing Impact is selling for 1-5mil crafted but back before the patch it was 100-500k at most. Supply is there. but the influence to get it will diminish and when supply runs low again that also means prices as I've seen will start to skyrocket. I wonder if PVP IOs will go back to 100m influence before the year is up. My suggestion is stop trying to punish players for farming. Upsetting a farmer is just bad for the economy in game.
  4. Side note on farms that work you can also try out my newest ones by searching @ Skieth in the AE Search menu. They are a bit stronger but rewards are *mostly* maxed now and I don't die. So far no complaints. Side note I do have an AV Farm as well. For those in groups with hitters the xp/influ gain is insane. Full Arc ID's: 26435: Space FireFarm with EBs (max influ/xp Gain) 50002: Carnie Map with EBs (xp/influence is Maxed but there is a slight hit due to mob count) 49950: FireFarm with AVs Space Map. (AVs are at 97%/100% due to limits) can't find a way around it. I would recommend a de buffer/hitter along with a Firefarmer if you want speed runs. As always please rate and feedback. And any tips on how to improve will always be checked thoroughly.
  5. Back in live I was a member of a SG called The Dream Team. I had lots of fun. Sadly with how they have it set up now the benifits of an SG just arent there. Solo sure. I enjoy being able to keep all my stuff in an area with my own orginization system. access my own alts to sell extra stuff that my main cant hold, build when I see fit and teleport anywhere I want. *granted I have almost every zone unlocked with LRT. But being in an SG with others means ya got drama, inactives *shiver*, and you can't really have a section to yourself. Just not worth it imo. And any sg that Ive seen are almost all inactive. least on my server.
  6. the other buff is Windfall. Ive included it as well though its hard to get.
  7. I should correct that. I meant the buff that isn't from the p2w vendor. Its called Experienced Its a patrol xp buff aquried by card packs.
  8. That's probably because you don't have anything worthwhile to e-peen about honey. Haters gonna hate.
  9. The issue isn't the Farmers. The devs banned the early farmers for their runs for influence. Not on my watch. And even if the devs implemented the 500 mil influence for an instant lvl 50 to say the p2w vendor that means the only players who could afford it would be people with a hefty wallet of income *inf* which as most know are the....anyone?? The Farmers of Ae:P Reality is offering that service is nearly pointless even if a main content focused player saved up 500M would likely be using it for their own build and unless they player non stop would be saving up forever. I make on average 10M every 6 minutes by myself before selling, and 2-3m with a full group in 6 minute and if I run the av only Firefarm with a full 8 man team I can accumulate close to 40m in 20 minutes. Even with close to 480billion influence I can say with honesty not once would I ever pay influence to pop out a 50 from a p2w vendor. Just wont happen. So lets say the devs got rid of ae entirely. This wont solve the problem of farmers. As odd as it sounds regular missions can be turned into farms as well. Back in the old days the maps we use now are the same maps that go hand in hand with story arcs, radio missions ect. Sure the powers may need to be tweaked but the end result is the same. Get a Mission, then reset before completing. Rinse and Repeat. The issue like I said isn't Farmers. The issue is players opinion that it is somehow bad to have it. Rule 1: as a farmer. Never and I repeat NEVER do any RMT be it ingame or external. EVER. Rule 2: Moderation. Farmers must take time to enjoy content as well as irl stuff. Rule3: Farmers are the ones that keep the economy afloat. Upsetting a farmer will upset the market. Now if rule 1 is broken then I'd totally agree with players on their opinion. Few bad apples though can always be dealt with.
  10. Personally I love ae farming. I met tons of great people and its like a chill area. party up relax and talk or don't. doesn't matter to me. I am a little peeved that they removed the AE building in atlas as that was the golden area to meet all the new players. Personally I think AE should have it's own zone so that chats aren't always filled up with LF ae ect. That and since it generates the majority of the income in the game from what I've seen it seems reasonable after all these years that AE techs could afford a new area just for that purpose. As for the nerfs there are many ways around it. Windfall perk being the best as it grants xp, influ, and 25% better loot drops in general. Add xp booster if ya want to run those vet lvls up. there are other buffs to. People always get negative about ae farmers. And its sad but it is what it is. No farmer is going to force people to join and we get less rewards the more that join. The loss of the majority of ae buildings will likely cause player base to plummet in due time and those who enjoy main content in a matter of years will likely be hit hardest when 50's start taking breaks due to other games or irl stuff. This choice by game devs to remove ae in most zones will almost certainly hurt in the long run. Not against content cause I do enjoy content as well. That said if anyone wants to try 3 modes of Fire Farms just search @ Skieth my global in game. I actually have an AV farm with an optional GM. (Giant Monster) Now that to my knowledge is the only one that actually works and requires a 4-8 man team working together. de buffer, buffer and 2 properly slotted Fire farmers and someone who can dish huge damage like a brute will get it done in about 10-12 minutes. Ive done it so worth it imo.
  11. at first I thought you were joking but I googled it. I had no idea this site existed. You sir have made 98% of my arguments with some friends a near success. Many thanks. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/spelt?s=t
  12. I'm Canadian so it's Spelled correctly:P
  13. To answer some prior statements. my server is Excelsior *think that's how it's spelt* and mocking beratment goes for a mil however this particular one sells for 3mil easily and can be bought for 10-25k for the recipes. I have sold about 100 over the course of 3 weeks at 3mil a pop. surprisingly I had been selling it for 5 mil but it wasn't going as fast. as for the purps I just bought them using merits I had aquried doing quests and the snowman event in July. Not saying it's the best use of em but I'm not an altaholic. I tend to stay with my main and only ever make alts for selling on the market. Candy canes are also decent as well. I'm stocking up to resell at 250k a pop come the next event. Currently I have 13k bidding and about 3 times that in salavage. I bid no more then 10k each. resell it at 250k that's still a 240k profit per. You can really ruin the markets if you try lol. And make a huge profit in the process ...still... I was not expecting em to sell in a week...
  14. I was called Xcillion back in the day. I'm hunting down my old SG mates from the Dream Team. If your still kicking around Send me a message or ingame message @Skieth cheers
