  1. Well since Inferno is basically also melee range, I figured it was also not really used and just taken because you are kinda expected to take the nuke as a blaster and/or for emergencies. Based on the gameplay style other sets just have it easier to keep the distance with their secondary effects, like knockback, slow or longer ranges, whereas Fire just burns more damage and thus gets aggro faster than anybody else. Short range attacks are not only usefull for Blappers, who charge into the enemy groups, but also for survival when enemies come running at you. Most of those attacks hit hard and fast and Hot Feet slows the enemies. Since with Fire, you don't have much else to stop them, you should get rid of them as fast as possible. Theme is always a valid reason of course and for me and my builds, preference is also more important than min maxing. I also finished reading the other thread and I see now that apparantly there are strong opinions on whether a Blaster goes into melee range at all, regardless of the set. So before I completly derail the topic, just one final thoutht: Even for ranged characters I want to suggest the Fire Breath + Fireball Combo, because I feel like it is just too good to be ignored. Never use Fireball first though, always start with Fire Breath.
  2. To be honest no? At least I don't feel it does. I also didn't just mean the secondary, but the primary as well.
  3. Honestly, not having to start all over would be the only thing I truly want. Finishing the Incarnates a nice to have. As for Power Sets, if new ones are truly coming, I would prefer a focus to ATs and Sets that can not create complete theme based characters yet. Like you can't create a Water/Water Blaster, because there is no /Water Set. More costume pieces and options are also always welcome
  4. May I ask why the decision fell on Fire/Fire when the character should be ranged only (and thus mostly single target focused)? I'm asking because Fire truly shines with all of it's AOE attacks in the mid to close range, finishing everything of with short range/melee attacks, that comes running towards you. Since Fire's secondary effect is just even more damage, I feel like other sets might be more suited for the suggested playstyle Not trying to force any playstyle on anybody, I'm just curious. Sorry I couldn't help with the ranged rotation, as my normal playstyle would be (Aim, Build Up,) Fire Breath, Fireball, Fire Sword Circle, (Rain of Fire,) Blaze, Fire Sword (Fire Blast)
  5. Can't really help with the blapper part as my main was/will be a pure fire/fire/fire squishy blaster. BUT I strongly suggest to readd Fire Breath to the build. When first started the game I also didn't use it much and ended up removing it. (I was playing more careful ack then and the range seemed too small for me) It wasn't until a certain issue (don't remember which one, but one of the earlier ones) forced me to respecc that I gave it another chance. Aim + Build up + Fire Breath + Fireball and if anything is still standing then Fire Sword Circle And if anything still survived that, Combustion and or Rain of Fire, Blaze or Fire Sword (Or whatever attacks you have left) This basically renders the nuke an emergency power and even as a squishy you can easily solo most content even on higher difficulties. And in teams you will easily melt the biggest enemy groups away, to the point where the other blasters in the team will start to question their need 😉
