  1. Wait, how do I gain a second damage aura? On Chilling Embrace I can only slot 1 out of 4 Slows, and the only one that seems to be doing any damage is "Impeded Swiftness: chance of damage (Smash)". Currently I have my build as linked earlier in post, with the only exception, since I wasn´t aware of the max 5 Luck of the Gambler rule at the time, being that I switched out 2 LotG´s vs. 2 Reactive Defenses. I´ve played around with Mids trying to get my Def up there since this is my main and I´m trying to get it just right. I´m not sure at which point I should let go of the focus on Def/Res numbers and instead try to balance it with other things of Importance. I slotted my first T1 Alpha yesterday and went with "Nerve" aiming at "Nerve Radial Paragon" at T4 (Acc/Taunt +33%, Def +20%). Linking an alternative build below with Soul Epic instead of Pyre which gives me much better Toxic Res % (59,6 vs. 20,7) and slightly better Psi ditto (30,2 vs. 25,7) but it costs me 2 slots in Health and 1 in Stamina/Hasten each which I´m unsure of is a good trade or not. Also switched out all LotG´s (except Inc. Global Speed) for Reactive Defenses to see how much it differs. As expected Def goes down slightly and Res goes up slightly (around +/- 5 %) I noticed most Tanks don´t but some Scrappers do. But I´m very curious about Mu; which powers to take and how to slot them? Open for any constructive Criticism > still very much learning. 2. Using Hyperstrike´s build as a blueprint and taking onboard Hjarki´s tips as well as keeping a couple Powers I fancy; "Superjump" + "Chilling Embrace" and ditching "Build up", "Mystic Flight" and "SuperSpeed", I tweaked those numbers while still going Ice/Fire/Pyre. Not that any of the powers I swapped are necessary for this build, nor the Pyre Epic, they just fit my play style better. S&M at 59,1%, E/N at 58.5%, F/C at 52.6% and AoE at 40%. I guess I can press those numbers slightly higher by only 1-slotting "Haste" and moving it into "Maneuvers", which I managed to squeeze in, but I´m pretty happy with the result. Only thing I feel I lack now is "Tactics" and maybe I will swap out "Hibernate" for it. If anyone sees any major flaws in build still feel free to suggest. Thx for all the help. 3. Those #´s are really impressive. I like that build. Might I ask why you leave out Chilling Embrace? It seems like such a staple in the Ice Armor set for Tanks (and personally a big reason I picked Ice). I suspect you leave Greater Fire Sword since it only hits one mob or perhaps the only animation in the build that uses a sword?
  4. This is some really good info right there. I´ll take it to heart and rebuild from scratch, see if I can get those #´s up. Also not convinced about a Tank using Hibernate so I might drop that one first. Energy Absorption has been a life savior during my leveling process, once I start farming Incarnate Resources maybe I can drop it too.
  5. Hey all. Have a 50 Ice/Fire/Pyre Tank that I really like but not sure how to maximize defense. This is my first toon to build with Mids, I have a general idea how it works, but don´t know all the in´s and out´s. If anyone see´s any flaws in my build feel free to suggest. I´m also not 100% on going Pyre Epic nor missing out on Build up. I like to keep Super-Jump if at all possible (Ninja Run is ok but this toon I want to make my main). The attack enchantments is where I´m really at a loss, I just fill in with whatever seems to yield lots of def and/or resist. I know I won´t be able to afford some of the more expensive enchantments for a long while, but that´s ok; then I have a goal to work towards. Tried to export my build but I cannot seem to find any buttons that support it so I used the save below. (needs reslotting) Clexus - Tanker (Ice Fire Fire).mxd
  6. Thx so much for posting this. I´ll try to figure out which each enchantment is but now I got the general idea. I´ll run it by Mid´s tomorrow and see if I can get the numbers to match. Again, thx for taking the time to show me the build 😃
  7. Yes I love it. Time seems well suited for Pets that don't spread and don't attack from a long distance, just similar to Thugs and Beasts. The slow mechanism auras are the cherry on top of the cake. In CoX I had a Robo/Dark MM and the latter seems better suited for long range pets just like Robots. Level 49 1/2 now 😃. Anyways, awaiting your build with interest.
  8. Almost 47 so nearly time to respec. Still very much would like to see your build Force Redux or a pic of it if you got the time.
  9. This is great info, it also leaves a slot over; maybe for Maneuvers or Assault? Maneuvers seems like the go-to choice for added Def for both myself, teammates and Pets yes? I thought about instead taking Temporal Selection but it feels a bit overkill due to having Chrono Shift at 38 (am at Level 39 currently). I have a Fire/Kinetic Controller at 50 and although I do have Speed Boost at that toon it feels similar in a way; Fulcrum Shift like Chrono Shift seems just so much better, despite the faster recast speed of the lower level powers. As stated before I´m not a fan of builds that needs constant recasting; I´m happy with the "click and forget" mentality especially since my prime time is on US evenings which is why I play on the American server instead of the European even though it gives me a hefty dose of lagg.
  10. Hmm, I didn´t even consider Mu. Interesting; I´m intrigued. Got a link to the build?
  11. I´m building an MM almost exactly like this but I have to ask, is knock-back/stun an issue for you? I heard somewhere that MM´s Achilles heel are Stuns and KB´s so that´s why I´m asking. I have slotted for Acrobatics while I am leveling, in order not to get stunned so much, but plan to respec at 47. Was fooling around with Ice as Epic in Pine´s Planner as well which has some benefit, higher overall def, but more negatives; lower def than Ice when Power Boost is active, not as good offensive powers as Mace (although I love Hibernate) and also not a fan of having to auto cast Power Boost every so often. If there was someway to maybe make a macro perhaps to cast it while casting something else it wouldn't feel so intrusive. What ya think (feel free to specify as I am still very much a noob to CoH)?
