  1. The patch notes don't say that it unlocks at the end of the arc, it says "any mission". But to answer your question, yes, Brass is currently offering his second arc, "Echo Down the Aeons". I feel like this has worked properly in the past, but I'm not really sure that I've seen it first-hand; I definitely remember seeing the change in the patch notes when I27 came out because it was a welcome one.
  2. From the I27P1 patch notes: Does not unlock with any of the missions from the arc "The Aeon Conspiracy" in which Echo appears.
  3. Looks like it hasn't been updated here. but: Nope. Not a fan. I rely on both of these behaviors. Please make this an option.
  4. I know callout posts are discouraged, but in this case I think it's called for. I'm calling out me, darkgob, for assuming that these efforts were effectively vaporware and would never yield any fruit. I was wrong! Thanks for fighting this fight and sticking with it for so long!
  5. Add to Launcher didn't work when I had the launcher already open, might want to make a note of that for folks.
  6. Why change the name for Rise of the Phoenix? And I agree with a previous poster, Phoenix Rising as a power name is just clunky. If it must be changed, just change it to Phoenix and be done with it, although I personally don't see why it should change at all.
  7. Power customization option names are broken for a couple powers in Psionic Assault: Mental Blast Psionic Lance
  8. Gonna be honest, this is really discouraging to hear. I have given this SF several attempts, only one of which I think has been successful? It seems to demand something which is apparently very fragile and highly susceptible to breaking. To say nothing of the badges -- it's fine if you want to give players options if they want more of a challenge, but the second you start attaching badges to things you have crossed the threshold where you need to start considering accessibility again. (They probably wouldn't be as bad if they didn't require Malicious difficulty, but...) The set of players who collect badges and the set of players who want more challenges might intersect, but not by so much that you can just toss accessibility out the window. What's next, badges for soloing missions on +4x8? No thanks. Master badges are bad enough (and now in I27P3, worse). I'm sorry, but this SF is just a miserable slog to me. It's got a lot of really cool set pieces, unfortunately it's really hard to engage with most of them in the team setting, which is unfortunate because it feels like wasted dev effort on things that most players will never see. It's got some interesting mechanics, unfortunately they just don't do a lot to explain themselves. A prime example is the AU Rifters. You learn pretty quickly that the Brickernaut beam = very bad. Okay, so the AU Rifter has a similar beam, which does...???? I still don't know. It even has additional text that pops up on screen (which explains nothing), but I have never been able to tell what actually happens when they go off, compared with the Brickernauts where it is very painfully obvious. Even worse, no one else seems to know either -- nobody has ever answered this question on any team where I've asked it. The SF is not really that long, but my god it sure feels long because there's just so much stuff happening. When I run this SF, it's one of two scenarios -- either the rest of the team are all experts and are speedrunning through it with me trying in vain to follow along, or nobody knows what they're doing and it's a complete trainwreck. I've been trying to find a comprehensive guide on it (or hell, any guide) and so far I'm not coming up with anything, which doesn't bode well -- because it needs it, very very badly. It demands understanding to do well, but apparently nobody cares to explain it. As a badger, it's really frustrating to think that the Master badges might very well just be badges that are permanently out of reach for me, unless I happen to luck myself into a group that deigns to drag my worthless ass along for the ride. I understand you can't make everybody happy all of the time, but just please try to not lock people out of the game. It sucks.
  9. My recollection is that he was named "KLOP", although that may have been a separate incident that I didn't screenshot. And yeah, this is the days when Fort Darwin was the starting spot for villains. May 2007.
  10. While I obviously have not done an exhaustive check, it appears that every single base item's category (as listed in its Info window) is "Invalid String Parameter".
  11. In the Alignment Mission "Dr. Aeon's Science Convention", villain choice ("Rob Sky Dragon's Warehouse!"), there's an...odd spawn. The premise of the mission is that the Tsoo are raiding Sky Dragon's warehouse, and at one point you discover a group of Family goons who are apparently also attempting to raid the warehouse. But the Family goons aren't fighting Tsoo -- they're fighting a Wailer! But the dialogue suggests this isn't some dramatic plot twist...it really does seem like it's just meant to be a conflict between the Tsoo and the Family. Additionally, there is no text anywhere in the mission referencing the Wailers.

  13. Steps to reproduce: Teleport to within talking range of a trainer. Switch to your alternate build before the hover expires. You can now fly permanently at base flight speed plus any other buffs to flight speed that you might have (e.g., Swift). Switching back to your original build won't cancel it, and neither does entering a door on the same map (e.g., Tailor). You can cancel it by: Teleporting again and wait for the hover to expire (or move) Activating then deactivating an actual flight power Zoning Interestingly, if you're using a flight power while you do this, it will still work even if you switch to a build that doesn't have that or any other flight power. The flight power cancels since you don't have it of course, but you still end up hovering.
  14. One question -- why? Dark Taken is the one color I want to change (just for Hero) but it makes the InfoPanel look hideous.
  15. Well, it launches fine, but on exit I get this: Subsequent launch gets me this: Then the previous error again, then the original error.
  16. Figured out the problem. Go to C:\Users\{your user name}\AppData\Local\RebornTeam, there should be a file called ConfigSP.json there. Rename it to ConfigSP.json.old. I was able to get it to launch after this, but subsequent launches seem to recreate ConfigSP.json. Gonna try uninstalling, manually removing all data from Roaming and Local, then reinstall.
  17. Just downloaded 3.0.5.5 but it won't start properly: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at mrbBase.Base.Master_Classes.MidsContext.GetCryptedValue(String type, String name) at Mids_Reborn.Forms.frmMain.frmMain_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) EDIT: Tried "deleting" Config.json (renamed it) since I seem to remember that fixing a similar problem in the past but I still get the same error except now it also creates an empty file called Config.mhd.
  18. I mean, they look the same to me too, but I assumed Lime in the config file corresponded to the definition for the color I could find online. Using an eyedropper on your screenshot yields (1,255,0) though. I just remembered that I have a super old build of Pine's on an external drive, last updated 6/28/19. Taken Power on that is set to (0,255,0). That build has no Config.json, and Config.mhd doesn't look like it's storing the UI color info in it, so I'm not sure where that was kept before.
  19. As I mentioned a few posts back, you should delete the entire old directory. That was that allowed me to install the new version.
  20. I'm colorblind but I really rather prefer it -- not all colorblindness is equal though. IMO you would have been better off instead trying to find more distinct tones of the same colors rather than changing their semantics entirely -- it was an extremely jarring change. Nevertheless, I appreciate 1) having the ability to customize the colors at all, and 2) your efforts at extracting the original theme settings. Thanks! EDIT: Strangely, some of the colors in the Config.json you uploaded don't match the colors I extracted from the screenshot I posted before. That screenshot didn't have an example of Taken Power (Dark), but the color for Taken Power was (0,255,0), whereas your Config.json has it defined as "Lime" (192,255,0) which I agree is definitely way too similar to yellow. I think Taken Power (Dark) used to be (0,128,0) -- that may not be precisely what it was before but hell it occurs so infrequently anyway. Also I'm unclear what the images you shared are for. Those look the same to me.
  21. While we're on the subject of UI colors -- is the Hero/Villain supposed to be broken? The UI is always blue no matter how it's set.
  22. Don't suppose there's any info available on the old settings?
  23. Make sure the entire RebornTeam folder is deleted before doing the new install. After I uninstalled the previous version of Mids that folder was still there with a couple folders and files (an icon for the Force of Will set, for some reason). I just uninstalled 2.7.2 and ran the Mids installer that I downloaded last August (MRB_Setup.exe, versus the MRB_Setup.msi that I downloaded today), but when I launch Mids it shows that it's the 2.7.2 version instead of whatever I had before was (2.6.x IIRC). Unfortunately I don't think I have any screenshots from before I installed the new version (will dig around though, who knows), and now it seems impossible to roll back. EDIT: Okay, this will clear up part of the confusion, I was misremembering partly -- but the colors HAVE changed. Found this in the HC Discord posted October of last year: This is what I'm used to seeing -- selected powers being colored as green. Although this screenshot doesn't show it, I recall non-available powers being some darker color instead of the (off?) white that is used now.
  24. It looks like a change was made to the color of selected powers. Previously a selected power was yellow and a non-selected power was blue -- these colors have now been swapped. Can this be changed back? It's difficult to look at since I'm used to the opposite.
