My method of cheap on-demand stealth is to put the Celerity Stealth proc into Sprint. Works decently well, doesn't require a power pick from a Power Pool, and if I don't need it, I can turn it off.
Before I realized the change, I put a celerity into sprint, and topped it off with Super Speed, which I had done for years. Then found out things were still seeing me. That's when my friend told me about the change.

No STEALTH the power is now exactly what INVISIBILITY the power was. They combined those two powers so players can now meet all of their stealthing needs with just this power.
Thank you. I'll have to check it out. And probably do a ton of respecs with all my characters.

When you say “a” stealth, do you mean the actual power “Stealth” from the concealment pool, or some other form of stealth? Because you are right that not all forms of stealth are the same, but I was referring specifically to concealment Stealth, and interpreted your original post as doing so as well.
I'm talking any stealth + super speed, but even if it was the concealment pool stealth, that would be okay. (The reason I said any stealth is those who have the powers of stealth, like Widows, etc.)

Stealth has been Invisibility since like two or three pages ago.
Which is why I said stealth + super speed. I never expected stealth to be equal to invisibility. It's just a damn shame and makes the game less fun.

Both of these are a consequence of the changes to the Concealment pool.
Stealth by itself is now equal to Invisibility.SoA/Widow stealth used to be between Stealth and Invisibility in strength, but Invisibility was folded into Stealth, which leaves most if not all other stealth powers (not including Superior Invisibility) giving less stealth radius than the power pool.
My guy has a stealth and it's listed as 'self stealth', but he's easily detectable. I don't think they're equal at all. (Unless I'm misunderstanding, which is totally possible.)
-
Stealth + Super Speed has always equaled invisibility. For all the years I've played CoH, this was the way it worked. Now? You've removed this, and it's totally unnecessary, and it takes some of the fun from the game.
Just my opinion. Yours may vary.

I'm sorry to necro a thread, but I've been trying to use the summon commands listed here for my bots. I've copied and pasted them into the game, but it's not working and I'm at the end of my tether. Anyone have a thought what the heck I'm doing wrong?

Most of KB mitigation in this build is high ranged defense and to hit debuffs. Even some of my Brutes roll with 4 pts ( my Dark Dark Brute i mained for 6 months, a resist armor at that).
another key element is flying. The character is always flying. KB when flying is a pirouette. Then you can attack again
Thank you most kindly. I think that was my problem. I wasn't off the ground.

As to fun... obviously that's subjective so take this with a grain of salt: So far I'm not having fun with Rad Melee. Maybe it just gets better much later but up to 30 so far and it's just... slow. It's difficult to see Contamination doing much except when I get a heal from Rad Siphon or happen to notice some tiny dots added on to a group of enemies.
Oh, thank goodness. I thought I was the only person this occurred to. I mean, if the enemies were a different color or glowed, maybe that would help a lot, but when you've got six mobs, which one just got infected?

Does anyone have an opinion on stalkers post level 50? How do they stalk up against brutes and scrappers and the like?
Do you have one you think works better than others?
Thank you! ❤️

I only saw it mentioned once and very briefly, but I have a Bots/Nature MM that I find to be quite fun and useful. I like to use my fairy patch to try and stage an attack area for my bots (put them on go-to in the patch). I feel like the two sets synergize more than what they seem to be credit for (though they are a tad difficult conceptually). I debuff and hold foes while they go to town with their lasers, and nature is chock full of goodies to keep their health topped up. And that's just with her on generic IO's for the moment--she's in her 40's, so soon I'll be looking to start getting her sets, and she should become even more fun and tanky.
When you get her all set, I'd love to see the build, if you're willing to share. 🙂

Holy Necro! I have two stalkers, of them The Spines/Bio is a multi-target machine:
- lvl 12 Spine Burst, which is probably my least favorite multi-target attack on the character
- lvl 26 Ripper, (a melee cone, but a brutal one)
- lvl 28 DNA Siphon, a %proc PBAoE
- lvl 32 Throw Spines, the ranged cone, boosted to 42+ feet also with %proc
This character is quite good at helping to grind through "defeat all missions" in x8 SF/TF... to the point where I almost always open up with one of the above attacks without bothering to first identify the 'harder' targets.
Since this is an AoE discussion: One of the fun side effects of Stalkers always having Hide toggled on is that the power is a perfectly acceptable place to include the Kismet +Accuracy (really +ToHit) enhancement which allows for slightly more %damage slotting from procs (which tend to work best on AoE attacks).
This sounds very interesting. Do you happen to have a build you'd be willing to share?

My Stoner sports speeds of 30mph in granite, and about 18mph with the poop boots on as well. My recharge is still subpar, but once I got Ageless, its actually net positive, about 80%..
Its a niche, and you need to be a pro with teleport for the vertical task forces, like ITF and States, but I was able to tank Lord Recluse with all 4 beams on him, no earth's embrace.
I also pair my stoner with Kinetic Melee because the animations are slow like my recharge and looks really cool when a giant slab is doing martial arts!
Edit: Its a ProcMonster build and actually does large burst to counter its lower recharge, extremely fun, but def overkill.
Would you be willing to share said build? 🙂

Go Agility for Alpha. Will bump Defense and Recovery.
You can yank a Common slot from Stamina. Stick it into Gloom and 5-slot Sup. Winter's Bite. Bump to E/N/Ranged Defense.
Single slot Darkest Night.
Convert the other Common EndMod in Stamina to a Performance Shifter: EndMod for a bump to movement speed.
Yank a common End-Mod out of Death Shroud or Darkest Night.
Stick it in Tough. A bit more S/L/Melee Defense.
Here'ss a cursory rework. Haven't really gone nuts with it.This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.4.7
