  1. Jumping back into this thread cause I saw the notification 😅 This build is easily still the one I have the most fun with, and gets the most of my lvl 50 playtime. Absolute blender, as previously mentioned. Thanks, Sovera!
  2. One thing to note it there is a mechanic in the software to request less and less frequently if the previous attempt was unsuccessful. Right now, my GPU is folding, but the CPU has not received a WU in a while, due to 10 or so unsuccessful attempts in a row. Now, it won't even ask for another for over 5 hours. Workaround: Quit the system tray icon (Pause first if the other part(s) of the system are active so you don't lose data since last checkpoint), then re-open; it will reset the cooldown on asking for a WU. No guarantee this will get you anything if they don't have WU's available, as right now there's more PC power available than they can utilize, but I personally don't care for the longer request timer as it's a waste of my idle CPU cycles. -If anyone knows how to turn that, uh, feature off, I'd be mighty grateful.

  5. Crunching a bit of the new data (19x13 = 247, -6 for /SD, -240 listed combinations), it seems like there are no KA/DA scrappers at 50! This seems like an adequately, ah, challenging combination to force me to create an alt! Never played EITHER on SCR, much less together. We'll see how this goes.

  7. True, but after multiple applications it stacks into a KB. Side note: Yes, I actually was fighting clockwork primarily.
  8. I'd think it's moreso the set's lack of actual defensive power. Taking all 9 powers, there's only 14.7% SLEN base defense, 2% FC def, and ~15% FT res, with C res the only one that's good "out of the box", but it's already overcapped, so that's a waste. Yes, there's a damage toggle and the T9 is 37.5% ResAll (-Psi), but chasing the CD on that is rough. Absolutely no protection against Psionics. Only Dark has a higher end drain, too. The status protection is very good, though, and the +60 Percept is nice, but those are a bit easier to IO or PP in without the existing holes this set has. Edit: Also 0 positionals, owing to the age of the set I'd assume.
  9. Update: Battle Axe is not fun. ALL the powers have KB, which on a melee set is just the worst. That character has already been deleted to free up the slot. Using the next one up, Ice Melee leaves us with Ice/Ice, which I have not seen on HC nor played on HC/Live. We're gonna give it a shot! Thanks again, all.
  10. I want to create a new alt scrapper (Or maybe brute, but we'll see, and the sets are nearly the same in broad strokes) However. I don't want a good build. I want a challenge. So, give me your worst combinations. Two stipulations: No psi melee, as it annoys me. No regen, as it annoys me. Go! Bonus points for why it's a terrible combination.
  11. I wanted to make a /Plant and I haven't done Ice Blast in a long time, so here we are. I'm thinking of running this as a weird off-controller, due to the qty of holds/slows present, so I'm not as concerned with the defense statistics as those oddball melee blaster peoples 😉 Also the Absorb of wild Fortress should give me alpha shot protection, generally. Hasten is perm after incarnates, and since my 2 large AoE's are DoT based, I was thinking I'd have time to go back and hold up the bosses, but if someone has suggestions here, I'm all ears.   12. Thinking about doing the below. Swapped energy for mu mastery, dropped a couple res debuffs into those due to lack of slots, then moved the EndMod slot out of Stamina into combat jumping to drop a Kismet +Acc in there to compensate for loss of Focused Acc. Lowers End drain but also Recovery; both are negligible once Ageless is T3+ in my experience. Should provide one more wide area attack to snag stragglers (and an immobilize, I guess?)   13. Most of the auras for tanks have a taunt in them, so the hard cast taunt is usually redundant. Sometimes useful for pulling "the next pack over" or forcing a tank switch, but once they're on your face, they tend to stay there. Exception is SR, no taunt aura IIRC.
  14. Got 50 and did a few BAF's today, along with a bit of mission farming. NOT fully IO'd or incarnated, so that's a good amount of work left and probably skews the impressions below. Impressions: Alpha strike is great, can either use both TP strikes back to back or alternate pulls depending on team speed. I ran a +4/8 mission with only 1 corrupter for AoE and they were both charged every pull, but even alternating couldn't keep up with my fire farmer. AFTER the alpha strike, though, it seems a bit... lackluster. (Note, again, not fully kitted out) The Thunder strike is a huge animation and either things are dead by the time it hits or it's just not quite worth the time to cast... Chain induction is great, but the 2 T1 abilities are required to flesh out the attack chain after that. The kick with the proc works well and hits often. No issues holding agro except if you can't keep alpha strikes up, then it struggles. If the pulls are very spread out (e.g. Eden trial) it does struggle a little to get everything without using both TP strikes to hit the whole pack. Note this isn't an issue if the team lets the tank have a second or two with pulls. 😏 Had a couple scary moments in a BAF during the NS pull, but otherwise defensively sound (and will get better once I replace standard IO's with all sets, obviously; positionals are not maxed by any stretch right now) I was considering replacing energy mastery with dark once kitted out, but we'll see how it goes. Thanks again for the help @Infinitum and all; despite the caveats presented above, I am enjoying my first Homecoming tanker very much!
  15. If your goal was PURE survivability, then it would be better to push them back so they waste the running time. But yes, I agree on the principle of KB generally a minus.
  16. Mine is the Scrapper reverse, but Bio/Claws is really fun to play. Unending attack chain if you want it, and you can easily drop one for a primary click power. Also has a good amount of added survivability in the shockwave/focus powers with the KB (or KD with the IO; strongly recommend).
  17. I have a tanker that I really want to love, but I'm having difficulties getting up to capped stuffs in Mids. If anyone can drop a build on my face, I'd be most appreciative. Note: I know this combo might be decent for a farmer, but I have a Brute for that.
  18. Has there been any consideration to a "Guide" system? EQ implemented that a long time ago, where a player could send a question to a static guide name account, and while any actual resolving might need to be escalated, it freed the GM's up to do actual GM stuff. A la Level 1 / Level 2 help desks. Just more of a formal Helper tag, I suppose.
  19. Nice; trying this out. A few questions: Why the 1x Mako in Follow up? Wouldn't the 4 pc Superior Scrapper's Strike be better dmg? Hasten is not permed, or is it after Ageless? Physical Perfection is superior to Parasitic Aura? Or easier to manage since Auto? Lore recommendation? Last, Hover on a scrapper? This is craziness, or I've been missing out... Thanks for posting; surprisingly difficult to find any builds for this combo.
