  1. I love it. Thank you for volunteering for this crucial assignment.
  2. Well obviously plenty of us have altitis and extensive headcannon about our characters, but I was hoping to focus the replies somewhat.
  3. It might BE 10% But that's still a 90% chance of no. I've had 2 or 3 recipe drops from a variety of of GM's, but you really can't count on it. Ultimately the marketplace will become saturated with enough of them that if you keep rolling random ones and you're not getting the ones you want, you should just be able to sell them off to acquire the ones you ARE after.
  4. If you could see one of your characters integrated into the game somehow, how would you like them to be represented? AE arcs are a good outlet for some of this daydreaming, but how else might you see your characters worked into the world? (obviously I'm opening up this discussion because I have my answer) If I had my way, my character King Cabbage would assault King's Row in a zone event akin to a Rikti Invasion. First heroes would destroy his harvest pods, and then his Vegetates would emerge--these would be a mixture of generic vegetable brained drones and discolored copies of the players heroes in the zone (like at the end of Posi 1 just not in full shadow). Then of course King Cabbage himself would stomp around angrily and yell about how he has come to reclaim his Row. Eventually a more serene version of King Cabbage would lead a I-trial/expedition into Praetoria to attemp to eject Hamidon from that world. He would take root into that planet to sew his seeds of rejuvenation, as the player characters buy him time. He would appear to perish and the players would make a narrow escape knowing they had actually set the stage for Hamidon's eventual defeat. Bonus NPC: My character Dawn'sEarlyLight is very sore that they passed over her for Fusionette as the hero trainer in Kallisti Wharf. Especially as I once had the impression that KW was built as a haven for Praetorian refugees and a symbol of unity between worlds. Fusionette was a disappointing choice, regardless of whether or not my own ego was factored in.
  5. How is it that 18 hours is the magical number that manages to attain balance for you? The same single player can spawn GWW once and hour by killing 20 regular War Walkers.
  6. Loving the attention GM's received in the lastest patch but there are a few QOL improvements I would like to recommend: -Ambushes should level-scale. Just did an Adamastor and the mid-20 level ambush is completely underwhelming. Why even have it when your teams are led by incarnates? Inversely, during the winter events, I noticed Winter Lords out in the wild spawning underlings at level 50. This would happen in atlas park! It's just irresponsible programming. The adds should just be de-leveled like the GM they come from. The factions in the Croatoa war or the halloween banner events operate this way, so it should be an easy fix. -It would be nice if the cooldown for rewards from Scrapyard was scaled down somewhat. I just had my first instance of running it on two separate days with the same toon and not being rewarded anything, let alone monster merits. Maybe six hours? Enough to communicate the message of "go do something else for a while" without the backlash of "oh gee has it not been EIGHTEEN HOURS YET silly me!" that I just went through.
  7. Page 7 got me like 2 merits even!
  8. I cause myself to have an aneurysm any time I attempt to interact with anything on GitHub. I get that I am looking at a directory. OK great. I need the stupidest dumbest arrow-pointy-est instructions. I miss .exe's.
  9. This could be a handy way of working as a quick check-in on characters you don't play too often, to take a look at the accolade and see how many pieces of it you're still missing. I thought there might already have been something like this for the Halloween event but without being in-game I can't say. It would especially be helpful because for most of the winter rewards, there's no greyed out version of them before you get them, you just get them upon completion of a task. Like, the box-click badge and the snowman hunt are the only ones wth a counter.
  10. Hello. I've noticed a few times now that the Winter Lord's which spawn in the regular city zones will spawn adds at level 49/50, regardless of the ordinary zone cap. The GM's themselves of course are set to scale, and their initial surrounding minions are zone-appropriate, but during the fight they'll drop out additional minions which can throw the fight wildly. It's happened in Atlas, it's happened in Cap Au, it's PROBABLY happened anywhere and everywhere that a Winter Lord has been fought. Seems like it would be a relatively easy fix? Maybe the adds can be set to scale just like the WL?
  11. Other GM's, even the Jack and Eochai doublure feature, can generally be managed by a single team. Whenever I've participated in a Lusca it's always been a league affair. I dunno, maybe it's possible for one team to take it on, but I feel like the extra effort and annoyance warrants the head still paying out 6 as a bonus for completion. Or at least enough that it should pay out better than Adamastor.
  12. For all the work you do to take down Lusca, chasing 8 arms around to different spots, the payout currently makes it the worst value of any other GM. Rather than raising the payout for just the head, and having people come by just to do that, why not make each arm payout 1 merit along the way? Simple fix. Inspired by someone attempting to recruit for Lusca as we speak,
  13. That may be so but I mostly know of it dropping from Halloween ToT door knocking/enemy slaying. I got the feeling the person was telling me I was unlikely to receive the tip (because duh no ToT event is running) and that they just might not have understood that I'd already hung on to it for 9 months. However if there is an off-season method to acquiring another, color me intrigued.
  14. Tonight I had an oddly sluggish time recruiting a team for the Malleus Mundi tip mission. I occasionally drum up teams to run out-of-season missions I've been holding onto to share the access I have to a what seems like a rare commodity. In the time tonight when I wasn't getting any bites, I had one helpful naysayer PM me that "the mission's not going to proc" or something similar, effectively telling me that the mission would not proc as a verb. I do not know the word proc as a verb. I know proc as a noun, as essentially a bonus power granted by an enhancement. I do not know if proc is an abbreviation or an acronym for something or anything else. I only know it in context as a bonus power. Is there a verb form of it? The act of procing? Was this messager out of their gourd? I tried to ask them to clarify their meaning, but they of course had an automatic user is away response because of course they did. I suspected maybe they thought something like that the tip would not activate a door for the mission, or even weirder, that they were attempting to tell me that I could not even retain the tip beyond it's originating seasonal event, even though I absolutely had. Listen, I've got alts and alts and alts, and they've ALL got unplayed tip missions. Or did they mean something entirely else? Would the mission have proc-Ed in season, in the context which I know, and granted a bonus power?!?! I was only running it to get a jump on all the multi-choice badges. Is their any rhyme or reason to this players warning?
  15. Just read about the bug that allows player to somehow have 10 time the Victor AND 1-8?! Well fuck me.
  16. Except that from the moment it says "Once the Victor" to the moment it says "Ten Times the Victor" to the moment it theoretically says "One Hundred Times the Victor", the badge count will always be exactly one. It's not even badge hoarding, just kill-count perfectionism which would cause a player to be so determined to reach one hundred, another reason I figure some (cool) players will just cold quit at a landmark number like 69 or double 7's or maybe their birth year or whatever. Their choice. It's only ever a count of one badge.
  17. Just wondering which build pieces tend to be implemented the most as exterior walls? I'd like to have a walk up approach to my base but it seems, to me, that the selection is limited, when yet I've seen wonders and marvels from more seasoned builders.
  18. I can imagine that someone who might have hit the hospital has probably done this to get the ones they missed out on. I guess now I can anticipate that certain groups might declare that they were only farming the first mission (although that would be really petty since it's a badge that replaces itself).
  19. I was just imaging the next time you go in it picks right back up from 11 and keeps counting (hence the expected wave of people disappearing from the mission when they hit 69)
  20. Keep the Mary MacComber kill counter going to a hundred. Some folks may wonder why players might Ouro out at 69 never setting foot in the first map again, but it'd be nice to show that not only have you done the Katie Hannon TF, you're a repeat customer. As this badge merely replaces itself over and over, it really just acts like a ticker. And One Hundred Times sounds much more dramatic (ten times more, even). Countdown to the obvious one-upmanship of "One Thousand Times the Victor" and beyond, but c'mon now, you know that's excessive.
  21. You're not truly incarnate until you've built every level of every tower of every option of every power.
  22. Hey I'm not gonna get angry at the weather(person) because their forecast was accurate.
  23. The whole highfalutin revised idea, to appease the bloodthirsty masses: Theme team badges awarded to a team of 7 or 8 matching ATs who complete a TF/SF Oddball 8th spot also gets badge: Fly On the Wall - "Maybe if I stay real still nobody will notice..." Overall event badge for 7 matching ATs: Bird of a Feather A team of 8 matching ATs is awarded the Unified badge, credit to Greycat. AT specific badges, which again will also be awarded to the 8th unmatching spot, because you gotta catch 'em all under threat of death to the guy who dared think up such a thing: Tier 1: too good not to use: Defender - The Best Offense Controllers - Control Freak Brute - Et Tu Arachnos Soldier/Widow (probably easiest to put epic AT's together) - Arachnophilia (we already have an Arachnophobia badge so let's counter that) Tier 2: Kinda iffy Tanker - Tanks A Lot Mastermind - Stampede / Stampede Participant Dominator - Absolute Dominion Warshade/Peace bringer - Squid Squad / It Came From SPACE! Blaster - Had A Blast (naming seems pretty uninspired but who else are you gonna get this badge from?) Tier 3: Could use some workshopping: Sentinel - Keep Away (because nearly everyone should be fighting at range) Scrapper - Hack and Slash Corruptor - Irredeemable (with that much corrupting going on...) Stalker - A Whole Lotta Nothin' (in reference to a group of people being invis, not meant as a knock) Ideally most of the badge titles would sound like good names for a thematic SG. The descriptions of each would read either "You participated in an outing of all-_______s" or "You dropped in on a gathering of all _______s" (those blank spaces are for ATs not rude words!) And after all that? You can even get a friggin' accolade! Didn't Get the Memo - "Everyone else was on the same page, but time and time again you stood out like a sore thumb." AM I SAFE TO IMAGINE THIS IMAGINARY THING NOW WITHOUT STEPPING ON ANY TOES? *mutters* yelling at me like I locked you in to praetoria for 20 levels, yeesh...
  24. I dunno, speaking from the perspective of someone who was told I shouldn't bother imagining something because it wouldn't be fair to other people, I think I can at least testify that the experience has not been fun. I made this initial post thinking about how fun all-_____ teams are, and how it would be fun to commemorate that per-AT but the response was overwhelmingly "No! Gimme everything! Me me me me me!" about an imaginary hypothetical thing. Kind of a buzzkill. Never mind how easy it would be merely to suggest that maybe the badge gets triggered with a team size of 7 same-AT toons, awarding the badge to all, including an oddball 8th. This is an imaginary thing right now, there's no reason to bring all the baggage of previous game frustrations. It's called workshopping.
