  1. Seems I'm not the only one mentioning the following, but they would be worthy additions... can we have enhancements locked in place only once you exit the management screen (and not after each one is slotted?) {understand added complexity of tracking what changed after every screen...}, sometimes you make a mistake... Yes, ok, enh unslotter, but this would be useful Badge categories in the dropdown, except "most recent" and "closest to completion" that are good being 1st/2nd, can we order the other alphabetically (I see Exploration, History, Accomplishment -> would be nice seeing Accomplishment, Exploration, History, ...) Some more relates to storage, it's a bit cumbersome to have a crafting toon and use the salvage racks in base. Especially as recipes can't be stored in base... email - can we have more attachment slots (up to 5/6?), also allow stacks of recipes to be sent as a single attachment, instead of one by one; a single recipe stack can be placed in AH - email should work the same can we have the "personal" storage instead being account wide and able to contain everything that can be tradable (including influence)? would be even nicer having a shared "craft bag" like in ESO where all crafting materials automatically end up and all crafting picks up from automatically regarding currency, GW2 has an account wide walled for some of the currencies - haven't played enough incarnate to have the feel if it would be better to keep it all bound to character or if anything could be made account-wide...
  2. Brought Ocean Warrior to 50. I'll need some proper slotting because I'm a bit confused by sentinels. Damage abilities are great, rotation is quite fast, I can keep spamming abilities and that's great - compared to blasters in fact it feels that you have an amount of offensive abilities that's "just right". Survivability is ... meh. Not sure if I need better enhs, or that I need to understand better how bio armour plays, or that the sentinel is a bit of a mixed bag. The "opportunity" attack isn't even so clear how it plays, blaster defiance and brute fury are more immediate...
  3. Thsnks, I kinda remember that it was by clicking on random pedestrians, but I didn't remember how to identify the right ones
  4. Crazy. Rolled one of the sentinels I rolled (water/bio armour), joined a couple groups and it was ridiculously easy to get levels. Ocean Warrior (can't understand why that name was still available, yay luck!) is way past 30 (can't remember how you check playtime). I kinda like him. I'll have to slot it properly come level 50, but gameplay is solid; not yet clear how bio armour plays, been with too many buffers or mez in groups.
  5. Even without the map server, getting a toon to 30 is quite easy. I rolled an electric/energy dominator and it's nearly 30. But it will be parked. I made an effort on the costume, but the electric primary is quite ... weak. Sleep+confuse is a very weak mez combo. Electric doesn't have a decent "signature" mez like spectral terror, terrify, ice slick, smoke+flashfire ... The pbaoe -end (Conductive Aura) could be it, but the end drain is so slow that it doesn't do enough to "hold" a mob in place. And Jolting Chain chance for knockdown is not high enough to help...
  6. Supper's Ready is 38 thanks to an Unai Kemen +4 train... levels were dropping like flies. Supper was trying to catch those flies instead of hitting though... 😞 I really need some good slotting... I now remember why I wasn't playing melee... - if the character is too small, I can't find myself in the mess of visual FX (and am always badly position for the short melee range) - if the character is too tall, I feel claustrophobia in the effing small and narrow corridors of the maps Will probably seat him for a little while and try one other option, there's plenty of time. @Saeletra Ill/Storm should be great fun to play.
  7. I've traps on a troller gravity/traps - it's quite fun (in team)
  8. Played a few sessions (hi Alfante!), level 25 (thanks to the mapserver event, I skipped the first 22 levels...), I still don't like much melee in this game - I just feel I'm always not in range for attacks - anyway, boy hits quite nice, but it's a broken sink for endurance (I just managed to slot some level 20-25 IOs let's see where we go). Resistance is meh ... but ofc this is a heal based brute ... I despreately need to add recharge to healing flames...
  9. I found that there are three archetypes lists, an original one posted in the event, another one including epic archetypes, and ArchVileTerror posted an "updated" here... Oh well, let's see what choices we have on all three lists (cheating!). Am adding stars to the choices to see what I might fancy... 49 - 27 - 66 Original: dominator - electric - psionic >>> I like domis, this could be interesting - ** Epic List: sentinel - dark blast - ninjitsu >>> haven't played sentinels, this has a theme attached to it already... *** ArchVileTerror: brute - electric melee - regeneration >>> probably a fairly common one, although brutes are fun... *** 66 - 98 - 3 Original: scrapper - war mace - bio armour >>> scrappers aren't my fav arch, this looks quite wacky, though - ** Epic List: mastermind - thugs - cold domination >>> this looks fun, but I am very bad at playing mms... (I know, I get a bonus roll, but why not keeping it?) - * ArchVileTerror: sentinel - water blast - bio armour >>> oh gosh. I got a visual straight away... *** 46 - 35 - 35 Original: dominator - electric - energy >>> could be fun as hell to play... *** Epic List: tanker - fiery aura - fiery melee >>> too cliche' - * ArchVileTerror: brute - fiery melee - fiery aura >> fun as hell, incredibly cliche', we have a jackpot though, and no brutes yet... - *** .. thinking ... .. calculating ... .. checking names availability ... .. and the winner is ... Supper's Ready: brute - fiery melee - fiery aura because I know a fireman who looks after the fire...
  10. Wow. Managed this time to give something before the window would close...
  11. I'm seeing a spectrum gloves option missing for the Jacket type for Upper body. With sleeveless jackets I get an option under Gloves for "Smooth/Bare - Spectrum - No Selection Available" If I change to Jackets (i.e. with sleeves), the Gloves for Smooth/Bare does not have a Spectrum option available. Was trying to make an Hellstrike-inspired costume and the gloves sneaking out from the jacket sleeves are really lame...
  12. The original pizza "Napoli" is in fact with anchovies and no mozzarella. Mozzarella (pricey cheese at that time) was added on "Margherita" in honour of Queen Margherita of Napoli. Pizza with Nutella is grand.
  13. Pear and blue chees on pizza. With no tomato. But no, pineapple doesn't work, the thing is that it actually clashes in taste with tomato.
  14. I believe everyone in this thread has a lot of expectations, I'll put down a few ideas also myself. I'll try to judge the efforts, though am only an experienced software developer and not an art or content designer so may not have the idea of the efforts when it comes to those fields. From what I see, beside hopes and expectation of the games remaining free/donation based (which might not be totally under our control), most people are mostly hoping for "More content/more powers/more costumes" which is basically what the game is about. Below a list I believe can be reasonably achievable: - Remove all "max level check" from the existing contacts, so that all can be accessed regardless of level. There is a lot of content in COH/COV and all should be able to be run without resorting to Ouroboros when you outlevel the contact range. - Maybe reatroactively add badges or good rewards in merits to all previous and low-level content to make them viable as content to run instead of the usual TFs. - Add "Story Arc of the Week" beside "TF Weelky target" which gives better rewards - Rework all old TF to be more cinematic (like Posi rework) - Have the TF have exit doors which lead directly to the next chapter instead of requiring to travel (follow faster the story) - Have incarnates run low level content with their incarnate powers disabled (toggable choice) so not to trivialize the content, but still giving Incarnate threads and rewards so they are viable for all levels. - Upgrade old costumes to better, newer textures - Make all powers viable in all powersets, making so that everyone has available 9+9+5=23 real interesting powers (primary/secondary/epic) powers to choose from. - Allow all available content (powersets, mobs, mission types and objectives, captions, ...) to be used in AE - More Zone events. Would be nice seeing a system like GW2 where multiple zone events are connected in a "sort-of-story". All the things I list here would require major efforts: - New powersets (i.e. arts, animations, effects, balance) - New zones - Rework of old zones (Firebase Zulu am looking at you), adding new stories - New/Better TF with end boss "epic" fights instead of plain tank&spank (i.e. some of the Incarnate fights mechanics should be moved to TFs). Think other MMOs - ahem DCUO cough cough. Honestly, the mechanics for Raids and bosses in DCUO are great, game might be dull and full of lootboxes now, but certain mechanics and fights require more coordination and situational awareness than the average COH TF. Pet peeves of mine: - Remove hasten and give a flat recharge bonus to all characters based on level, like we give fitness pool, up to the average recharge bonus one would have with a hasten with 2x50 recharge IO (i.e. like the bonus one would have with a 2x50IO hasten on auto). - Remove slotting for swift/jump/health/stamina and transform them to a flat bonus increasing by level - Am unsatisfied by the ability to tweak the build with IO and sets, I've a couple of idea to make it more streamlined while giving more freedom, I'll see if such discussion comes up on Discord else I'll make a longer post here. - Allow IO tables to be accessed anywhere like we had /ah Final words: am conscious that there are volunteers behind this (and not enough praises can be said to them for all the monumental, transparent and professional effort they put into this) and like everyone they might have RL, a job and other priorities so my real big hope for this is to make Homecoming entirely community driven. This would reauire a lot of legal (sadly) and an agreement with NCSoft about contributions, but honestly the best content can only come from the community more than a few people, AE should probably be the main focus of the "game" (i.e. the developer efforts) making sure that some of the best arcs can become first class new content. In a certain sense, look at the modding community in Skyrim or Neverwinter Nights where there are incredible new pieces of content done by the community. Let's hope this can happen, would be also a nice example for other MMOs out there.
  15. I have a Grav/TA/Fire troller. Fun as hell, the TA is super spammy. That said, I'd love to have more insight: - which powers per powerset get chosen the least (i.e. are poweres which are nearly never picked up?) - which patron/epic pools gets chosen the least - which auxiliary pools gets chosen the least? also, which powers in the auxiliary gets chosen the least? - travel power distribution? - what % of characters have hasten? what % hasten slotted 3 recharge? just thinking...
  16. I've been playing for a while in mouselook and it's quite good and fluid. The only problem is that makes targeted aoe powers a pain: you need to "exit mouse look, press the targeted aoe button, target the power, reenable mouselook". Clumsy and long. Can we make so that pressing a targeted aoe power while in mouselook either: - cancels mouselook, center the mouse on the screen, and activates the targeted aoe? - suspends mouselook, activates the target aoe and shows the mouse at its position and when the power has been cast reenable mouselook? Just my 2 cents.
  17. 64 bit client works reasonably well (100+fps in pretoria). But it seems I can't login with the 32bit beta client (wanted to compare the fps)? (Can login perfectly with 64 and live 32...) And yea, I've typed the password a few times correctly so it's not that I've forgot the password...
  18. Absolutely .NET. dotPeek also works. Tried already ;)
