Hey folks, I am sure that this topic has been brought up before and I have searched for it a couple of times here but just can't seem to find it. I could really use a beginner's guide to enhancements. Lots of questions like: What ratios of damage to accuracy are used for the different classes? For some powers that include things like Defense or To Hit debuffs, should those be slotted with the corresponding enhancement or should damage/accuracy take priority? At what level should you start to prioritize completing enhancement sets as opposed to simply crafting the basic versions? Again, I know these questions are pretty simplistic but having some foundation to start from would be helpful. Apologies if there already is a guide in existence that I couldn't find. Just want to feel better about the choices I am making as I level my different toons. Thank you in advance!

Also a long shot here but thought I would ask... If anyone has the name Gravitas and isn't using it, let me know. Will be sure to give it a good home. 🙂

Thanks a bunch for your response! I was aware of the ability to check a name on the first page of the character creator but I wasn't sure if it would hold that name while you created the toon. Cheers!

Hello, This question has probably been asked a number of times but I can't seem to find the answer. Is there a way to check if a name is available before going through the character creation process? If there isn't an official way to do it, has anyone put together a way that seems to work for them? Let me know!

Shout out to the person that may or may not be using the name Arc. Would REALLY love to have that name for my toon. Have the backstory written, the costume designed. Just need the final touch. If you aren't using it, please let me know!

So, new to these forums but was curious. Is there a specific pinned thread somewhere where players can share their crafted backstories? I would love to read through some others. They add so much flavor to the game and, typically, when people are playing, they are busy playing and rarely take the time to inspect and read what others have wrote. If there is one already and I just can't find it, apologies for my noobness. (But also, please link me to it.) 🙂

Wow! So, now I know why I am so excited to be back playing this game! The community is just as awesome as the code! Thanks for all of the suggestions! Hello, This is my first post since joining the forum last night. I can't tell you how excited I was when a friend of mine let me know that there was a community-run server for City of Heroes, a game I absolutely loved and played a ton of in my younger years. I completed the download last night and jumped right into character creation. That is when Disappointment punched me in the face. Completed an Ice Blaster only to find that every derivation of icy, cold, frigid, arctic name you can think of is already taken. I am literally on naming attempt 30 or 40 now... Wish me luck trying to successfully achieve my own homecoming. ~Chad
