  1. I have this exact build. It's pretty awesome. At first it seemed that the scaled down attack powers would make it less appealing but over time , it all made sense. Being able to outlast Tanks and Brutes is also fun. Well Done!
  2. Ah...so its the mood and vibe we are dealing with. Clairvoyance is part of the CoC prerequisite?
  3. No shirt , no shoes, tucked in not tattered pants, no bio - just named "Mike".
  4. Nah, its not vague - its the entirety of this whole discussion - there are too many "gray" areas to get definitive unless there is a clear cut explanation of what is generic-able. If it were so, a lot of people would have to look at their accounts.
  5. Unless Mike is the green giants name, I agree. But you didn't answer the question.
  6. Ok, so lets just see if we can get a bit of clarity from this pool of opinionated posters here. So, you make a character, you give him SS/Invul abilities, you make him large and green and call him "Mike" - is that a generic-able offense?
  7. I'm all in favor of getting as close to the line as possible. Just don't move the line as you wish for whatever reason you deem fit
  8. copy as in 100% - the rest is not in-game most likely for that purpose, but what is there can be used, so it should be removed to mitigate , right?
  9. It cant be a copy if it isn't exactly like it can it? If there are variations that make it not 100%, because it resembles closely another entity technically doesn't make it a copy, its an homage. There are parts in the game that are there yes, but overall, you have to improvise. So that "s" on superman's chest is only that - an "s". So where's the infringement? its your opinion.
  10. Actually you made my argument for me. It takes time to make a good likeness just as much as your "originals", sometimes longer. The "art" is in the creation right? so where were we in this?
  11. I guess I was a bit too broad in my statement about "original costumes" already being done. Let me put it this way then, you cannot make an original costume because there is no way to create one. you are limited by what is there, so you aren't being original. Chances are you are using what others have already used.
  12. I agree with this post. Where is the criteria for what is and isn't deserving to be generic? If a character has a name that bears no resemblance to the character created, should both name and costumes be given generic treatment? Furthermore, under the current criteria, should not all the costume pieces and colors be wiped from the creator as they can be used for said violable creations. It just seems to me there is no proper oversight mainly opinion on what is and what isn't a violation. There are no original costumes. Everyone is using a costume that has been already done before.
