  1. different people form up for trials in different places. i have seen both dark astoria and ouro used for this purpose. both sides can get to these co-op zones easily. there are semi-regular groups that run these, and some of them go for the badges (And i have master of BAF and DD now myself).
  2. you can level to 50... then use your 2nd and 3rd builds for your level 50 gameplay. yes, those builds need their own IOs to slot. so each character can have 3 builds and switch between them as needed, only the cost on enhancements is any problem at all. and those are affordable at 50, when you have a hundred million or so to throw around. IO bonuses that stay when exemplared are very very useful indeed. those are your ATO and purple sets, and anything you attune. those bonuses really improve your power at all levels.
  3. best combo? a melee defense (tank or brute), a melee offense (scrapper or brute or stalker), a ranged damage (blaster, sentinel, defender ect), and a buffer/debuffer (controller/dominator or corrupter/defender). yes, a number of AT fit in multiple places. almost anything works together, is the wonderful beauty of this game.
  4. considering the borked window... its likely that it follows a model similar to the goliath in boomtown. kill X of Y, then it will spawn (minimum 1 hour between spawns). for the paladin, this is probably some number of clockwork bosses in that area. they spawn in the northeast corner. however, its possible it may be an arbitrarily large number of gears instead. to test this, someone should get to the area, and start smashing clockwork. if this spawns a paladin, then we will know the trigger. from there, its a question of numbers and time which is a bit trickier to count with the window borked.
  5. Knows No Fear you get this acheivement from an incarnate story arc... in dark astoria, telling the team of NPCs to stay back while you handle the army of evil alone.
  6. mine is a work in progress still (been busy with missions, arcs, and iTF), but over on everlasting is scrapperlock-1397 the entryway is designed for convenience, with teleporters close by, and invention storage further down. the actual base RP part of the base... well i have rooms, with numbers by the doors. not figured out how to get sky instead of ceiling yet.
  7. while you do get merits from every 3rd vet level... you also get astral (5:1 conversion) and empyerion merits from incarnate TF. running BAF is a quick and easy way to get some merits. rewards that drop from iTF may include rares and very rares, and i got a notice of the well from market crash(the weekly) the other day. you also get 10 threads as a reward from some repeatable missions (every 20 hourse in DA, and for some story arcs). while its 20 threads to make a common, they do drop fairly often when defeating enemies. personally, i have T4 in everything except lore(T3), with two T4 in both alpha and interface, and planning for another hybrid. there is a definite learning curve to what will slot best for your build, and your expectations vs the reality of those slots.
  8. logged in, got a superpack (was thinking about it during downtime). tried to open it. took a moment to notice, under global in green text it will just say 'AccountServerDown' each time i click open. still have the superpack, will try again later.
  9. I recommend the Scrapper AT. it is very fun! Scrapper, Brute, and Stalker are all great for solo play, soloing bosses and elite bosses, and having fun being awesome in general. Dark melee is a very fun powerset, and i have gotten it to 50 twice now (once back in issue two, and again now on the new servers). the only point I am debating now, is if the 'chance for buildup' proc really works for soul drain... 5% chance, multiple targets, on what is primarily a +tohit/+damage power. the only real downside of dark melee, is that shadow maul is a slow animation that roots you while attacking (same as sands of mu). its a cone PBAOE, which is wonderful, but you do not use it in fights where you have to dodge specific things (like tyrant making the air crackle). my primary four attacks are smite, maul, siphon, and grasp. sands of mu stayed on the attack bar until i got midnight grasp. currently running dark/WP, and my AOE tohit debuff from willpower is a fun thing. this stacks well with the diamagnetic in the incanate slot, for -tohit, -regen (one of those is 100%, the other is 50%, per hit stacking).
  10. each powerset has a different hole in def/res. for willpower, its a toxic defense hole and a toxic/dark/energy resist hole. the reason tough+weave is so amazing... is thats two more powers to slot def and res IO sets! you do need to grab the right global IOs. steadfast protection and gladiators armor (oth resistance sets) each have a +3% defense buff, and its global. shield wall(defense set) has a +5% resist(all). you can shove a healing IO set proc into your inherent fitness as well. your total health impacts your regeneration, which is a %, so +health helps twice that way.
  11. so, over the past few weeks I took a few hundred screenshots... and have uploaded them to imgur. https://imgur.com/a/7c89OWG those are not really sorted, but i thought i would share. how many of you are taking lots of screenshots to help remember the city we all love?
  12. the addition of a museum to our fair city would be a welcome thing, and could really help to liven up khalisti wharf (a co-op zone). pick a door, add a map marker, and set up an interior zone. maybe add an NPC with repeatable door quests (recover stolen artifacts, defend the museum, ect) the lore of this game is more than deep enough for a number of rooms full of decor, and the needed parts are already in the game. just take existing art and furniture, and build.
  13. oroborus has the cape mission under level 50, so you can always do the mission that way.

    Farming Merits

dark astoria repeatable, 2 merits every 20 hours, 1 merit otherwise. can be very fast, as your full incarnate shifts apply there. 'who will die' arcs from oro, fairly short and fast, give decent reward. and its a 7-parter, so 7 daily rewards to earn. its spread across the levels as well.
  15. used that... it returned the code with a dash and 4-digit number on the end. i tried it, and you have to include the number for it to work. (scrapperlock-1397) my own base isnt done yet. I only use one corridor so far, which is the entryway/medical, teleports, and workshop/power. and a bit in the middle with a meeting room, and door to rest of the base. its a pragmatic design right now, for maximum utility. not figured out how to get sky yet... and the decor has barely started. but hey, working teleports!
