  1. For anyone stumbling onto this thread looking for an ill/rad build: I ended up going with a build by Jagxyz that's pinned in the Controller channel of the homecoming discord. I boosted the purples and replaced Positron's Blast with Ragnarok. And replaced Thunderstrike with Superior Winter's Bite. Otherwise it's identical. Modified Ill_Rad_Troller.mbd
  2. Thanks for the notes! I made a new build that includes your suggestions. I also spent some more time looking into enhancement choices and it really seems like I only chose most of them for even more recharge reduction. All of the stealth powers were mules for LotG global recharge. I've made some tweaks to slotting and enhancements. However, when I was done with both of our tweaks I had 5 empty power slots that I had nothing important to put in. I considered keeping boxing/tough/weave to try to pad out my def/res some more but it really seemed like more endurance and more power slots than it was worth. So instead I've selected Fallout, EM Pulse, Rise of the Phoenix, and Super Speed for no other reason than getting enhancement bonuses or situational utility out of them. And I took Tactics as an arbitrary buff to keep on because I had nothing else to select from primary/secondary/pools, and some extra chance to not miss sounded better than anything. If there are any other powers I could benefit from taking instead of those 5, I'm all for it. I tested this on brainstorm and my Accelerate Metabolism and Phantom Army are just barely perma. I tried to move away from Agility Core Paragon and Ageless Core Epiphany, but removing even just one of those makes my recharge drop so much that I can't obtain perma hasten/AM/PA no matter how many recharge boosts I try to stack.   3. Hey, everyone! I'm returning after a 4 year hiatus and I'm interested in picking my ill/rad controller back up. But before I re-learn to play him, I'm wondering if any major changes are needed for the build. I initially made this build to be able to solo AVs and to be useful as support in groups, and I'd still like to be able to do those things. Aside from that I'm unable to defend any decisions made in the build because I don't remember why I made them. I know that perma-PA is a big part of ill/rad and my build has that. Perma-AM and perma-hasten were a side effect of that. Is it possible to have a generalist build that can do everything from soloing door missions to teaming up to do incarnates and raids? I'm also wondering if the fact that I made no effort to be more defensive is a no go for higher end content. Money's no object.   5. Yep that does it. Your build is insane. Really good job with the slotting and keeping the def/res high will still getting tons of regen. The only differences between yours and the build below now are that I kept my Laser Beam Eyes, freeing up a slot from Hasten which I put in Tough to increase my resists. I'm showing some differences in regen between the builds now, is that an actual difference I'm missing or a bug in Mids?   6. Looking at the rest of the logs, it looks like pretty much only Gloom and Shadow Punch were hitting me, so it confirms that the problem is mobs debuffing my ToHit. Maybe your Ageless Radial is saving you from this? I don't have access to that on the test server, and it gives up to 85% ToHit resist. Though I'm not sure how effective it is as the buff degrades.
  7. I didn't realize the farms were so far separated from the reality of the rest of the end game. Thanks for the heads up. So using the build below (minus incarnate stuff since I haven't unlocked it on Brainstorm yet) and running actual +4x8 missions and not AE stuff, I'm unkillable. The procs from all the performance shifters keep my endurance up even when I'm chaining Shatter, Clobber, Jawbreaker, Crowd Control, Whirling Mace non-stop. If I get unlucky with procs, I've seen my endurance drop to about 35% before coming back up on its own while I maintain rotation. The only problem the build has now is accuracy. Seems like every mission I run that doesn't have sappers has accuracy debuffers instead, and I stand there whiffing attacks until I can get some yellow skittles or I get enough lucky shots to bring down the debuffing boss. I know the ageless radial recommended by Psyonico will help, but it won't always be up. Since my defenses, regen, and recovery seem to be in check I'm considering using nerve core alpha for the increased accuracy and the added benefit of defense padding to offset any defense debuffs I might receive.   8. D'oh. I thought I uploaded the version where I had removed Force Feedback. Good catch, and thanks for the other advice! I like how you managed to pump up HP and regen. When I was testing this build on Brainstorm, any enemies over +0 were slowly chipping away at me and I couldn't out regen them. This is my first 50 since live (except the rad/fire brute I use to finance my alt problem) but the kill power seemed really low compared to a lesser IO'd rad/fire brute. Especially on +4/x8 where I needed a bunch of greens to survive long enough to bring anything down. I suspect I'm playing it wrong, since the common consensus is that WM hits like a bus. Should I be focusing on single target damage and only throwing out my AoEs when the big single target hitters are on cooldown? And is there a certain rotation I should be using to maximize my DPS?
  9. Hey everyone. I've been having trouble finding a consensus on WM/WP on the forums or any website in general. I started by using what builds I could find and then tweaked them with the help of the in-game Help chat and the Homecoming discord to create this build. I'd like to preemptively state that Laser Beam Eyes is a purely for fun and I'm sure there's another set that would be a better min/max. With that said, are there any other obvious improvements to be made here? This is intended to be a general max level build, not geared towards any specific activity.   10. I happened to make and fall in love with a WM/WP brute yesterday before reading this thread, and I'm having trouble finding builds and am still too new to make my own build. Do you have a build suggestion? It doesn't even have to be noob friendly or cheap, just something to strive for.
