  1. I made, and took my first ever tank to 50 a couple of months ago. She was a Dark/MA. I took the time to get all the accolades and her T4’s. Played with her for another few weeks before realizing something. I just don’t like /MA. Lol, I think it has something to do with the Dmg “I think” I’m putting out, but it seemed to take forever to kill things (of course doing 4/8 content). I felt bad, LOVE Dark/, so I made a Dark/Rad. Now, I feel like I’m actually doing “great bodily harm” to things, lol. She feels like a brute in a tankers body imo. And she is indestructible. I love her..... Until they “fix” /EM, and then, most likely, my Invol/EM will be ready to take that top spot.
  2. So I was able to get on for a couple hours last night and try out the /Rad. I did like it, but as dumb as this sounds, /Rad isn’t the same visually as say EA. It got me thinking, I haven’t tried /Inv yet. Maybe that could be a decent alternative? I could also go into the Fly line of powers and use AS as an attack with EPand BS, leaving either ET or TF as just a finisher? I’ve read a ton on /Inv psi hole at later stages but maybe use barrier or just kill them first, lol? Any thoughts or info on maybe going this route instead since it’s early? Thx.
  3. Thx for the reply. I will look into /Rad tonight and probably create and play a little tonight. At least get on Mids and look deeper into the powerset and how things work.
  4. Hello all. I’ve seem to have my share of 50’s, coming back to CoX after all these years. I’ve made most AT’s that sounded fun or were META. I’m finding it harder and harder to get on bc of RL stuff but wanted to make “one last toon”. It most likely won’t be, but for now, I really need help on a secondary for EM/. Lol, I already know what your thinking/saying but I had one on live (EM/EA) and just miss the EM sounds, look. I don’t want to go through EA again though, so I’ve decided to pair it up with either /WP or /Rad. I know nothing about either as a secondary for brutes and how they mesh with primaries, EM to be specific. Could someone who has lvl’d up either/both guide me in a direction? I would be taking it to 50 and beyond, infamy would not be a problem if I’m having fun, to spend on her post 50. She’d be mostly lvl’d with TF’s and teaming. Not sure I really want to grind another toon solo. Thanks for the knowledge in advance.
  5. I’d like to know more on this from someone who has greater PLAYING knowledge from this Tank secondary. I have a Dark/MA tank that I’ve spent a lot of infamy and time on, but I’m just finding that I really don’t like /MA. It just doesn’t seem like it’s doing much Dmg. I decided to shelf her for a bit and PL a Dark/EM Tank. Currently, she’s 38. Looking at numbers on Mid’s (I do realize that they’re not perfectly proportional to in game, but “close”) /EM doesn’t have the +Def from the attacks but it does have MASSIVE dmg. Who needs to debuff something that’s dead within a hit or three? I just remember my old time stalker having EM and the joy it brought me. I’m extremely interested in what people whom took the time to play a toon IO’d out with EM does on TF/Lvl 50 +4/8 stuff). I guess my next option would be Dark/Rad but I’m really hoping for a positive answer on EM.
  6. Hello. I've actually been following this thread and have put Kenlon's build on my Tanker XD I'm not new to the game, but I'm very new to Tanking. I've played about every toon a few times but never made a Tank bc I was too scared to "lead", lol Not that Tanks have to bc I see so many other AT's lead with no problem, but that being said, I just didn't want the pressure of leading. DA/MA are two of the sets that I really haven't done much on so I gave it a try. I've played about half the lvls and have PL'd the other half (just to get her done tbh). Now that I've spent the money to get this build on her, I can begin to have some confidence on playing her on the higher lvl TF's thanks to you all. My question is, what Incarnates do you recommend? I see there were a few mentioned, but if you can list them in an order for me I'd REALLY appreciate it. I'd hate to waste threads/merits. Thank you again. She is really fun to play and I can wait to play her fully to her max with Incarnates! Her name's "Womannequin". XD
  7. Thank you very much for the reply. You do make a valid point and getting Bio to the cap point and how much it needs to get there. I do want to get the four main accolades for the toon, but that would be the extent of leaving AE. So going with /Fire, is TW (along with Mu) a “good” primary choice. I do understand that Spines (some will argue Rad) is the “best/better” choice but I have actually made and own a Spines/Firm (not IO’d out) toon and don’t really like that play style (I’m sorry). I also have a Rad/ as well, just thought I’d do something that I haven’t done in TW. I noticed it has a lot of heavy dps aoe attacks and I fig along with Mu, it would work out well. Any experience in both together, or at least 50 TW? Thanks again.
  8. Hello friends. I just upgraded my cpu and now can handle the game beautifully at the 64 setting. That also means I can duelbox as well. So I made second account and will have just ONE toon on it. You guessed it, a farmer! XD That being said, I don't want to rehash the which set is best debate, but rather pose another question. Is Burn such a good power that taking that would justify taking the /Fire secondary? /Bio is awesome and I wouldn't have to worry about dying and I have a build already drawn up where I can be in the +End stance and still be capped out in Res to S/L. With all the heavy dmg that TW does, would that out weigh Burn? Thank you for any replies and help.
