  1. I do like the level of impact that buff’s and debuff’s have in this game. Yet I do have a suggestion in the form of a question, as it relates to the cost of using a Confusion debuff.

Of the 8 control lines 5 have confusion in them and all have it available in the Epic’s.

Yet confusion alone takes away the carrot. Not just for the caster but the entire team loses Exp, loot, and basically the reason anyone is in the mission in the first place. The targets can be held motionless, no problem. They can be dazed and hobbling around mindlessly, cowering in fear, or flopping like fish on land.  Basically they can be under the effect of any other power to which I am aware in the entire game and the Team does not loose their reason for being in the mission, save for confuse.

Any chance the time has come to stop taking the carrot from a single power, or remove confusion from the game entirely?

  2. Concept = Each Pet Type (3 per Mastermind) would have a single pet version which becomes attainable with a special Task force (or similar), granting an additional button. Hit the new button then pick your pet and you get only 1.

Example as a Necro you would have either, 1 toxic scrapper, 1 sword and board tanker, or 1 dark controller.

    Reasons:

    1. The return of an old school play style. i.e. the original pet caster from most MMO’s

    2. More group friendly option for Mastermind AT

    3. More play time for rare pets. i.e. Mercenaries now have a big Medic pet option (after 18)

Perhaps the pet could be distinguished with just a size change so new models would not be necessary.

  3. Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone had made a sort of mission / contact map by level to allow a Solo Tanker to end up with NPC DPS adds along the way?

I remember many missions which had add in NPC's (even found some frustrating).  That said it might change the grindy pace of a Tanker, and I was thinking about running one up.

    Open to ideas.

    Thank you,

  4. I have been trying to find the best way to bring an Ice Troller back (played one on live with Storm).  My goal is to be able to stand in the middle of the mayhem, while attempting to help others and not fall down.  Artic with World of Confusion for close defense and Faraday.

Please let me know what you think - thank you.

  5. I was looking at whirlwind in a Radiation build and I think I can afford it.  So my question is if I spec in Knockback to knockdown, and FF's +Recharge, might as well toss in the Smashing Damage, and a couple of cost reducers.  I am not found of Flurry or Super Speed, and don't need haste (yay bubble space, I guess?)

So, do I walk around in my very own ice patch, or do my visions crumble?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you,

    Natti

  6. Axe Scrapper question - Force Feedback Chance for Recharge ? Worth it ?

Force Feedback's chance for Recharge is a 5 second +100% Haste.  All of the attacks take it and it is not to a single use.  My question is whether or not anyone has tried it in an Axe build with (hopefully near perma) Haste.  Does it work?  Will I be begging for Endurance?  I'm still a baby but this is the built I am trying to grow up with at 27.  Just thought before I get the sets in order I would asks those wiser than I,

Additional note, I have a partner who is tanking for me.  My damage scares are minimal, as I am not solo'ing my leveling.

    Thank you,

    Natti

  7. Just a shout out for a couple of new archetype concepts...

Melee Support - currently none of the support lines (Defender/Corrupter/Controller/Mastermind) can be paired with Melee Damage.  Yet the Battle Cleric, the in the fight healer, buffer, debuffer all resonate throughout stories from mythical to futuristic.   Perhaps some kind of pairing with melee attacks and support.

Secondary Control - for those Controllers / Dominators their choices remain limited to primary roles.  Consider reversing the Controller into Support over Control, and the Dominator into Assualt over Control.

    Thank you for your time.

  8. Casual couple who play together.  We are not looking for End Game or PvP as much as enjoying the journey getting there in ways that work.

Can a MM Tank for a Duo, and if so any good build ideas to enjoy the growing up phase?

    Thank you 🙂

  9. My wife and I recently returned to CoH on the Reunion Server.  We are casual players who are often content to get the chance to work together and seem to find the next set of ALT's more interesting than remaining max level.  With that in mind I am seeking good DUO pairs to grow up together.

Currently we are just 20 with her Inv / MA Tanker and my Ele/Ele Defender.  We are crafting our own IO's and have managed to get all the common recipes memorized up to 20 so far (in no small thanks to a couple of good drops that sold well on AH).

Seeking ideas for good DUO's that are fun to level and help each other, with out concern that they ever become good Farmers or Raid adds.  We only play PVE, so PvP is not important to us either.

Looking forward to hearing what might work well, and Thank you for any ideas you share 🙂
