  1. At most this will encourage people to go "Hey we're just missing a support for the RD bonus. See if a Mastermind or Defender is out there. If not we'll get it next time"
  2. Based on other features implemented here's what will likely go down: For about 5-14 days this will get buzz, then people will realize "oh hey we can just form a posi 1 and recruit for the PAP, do it in 20 minutes, and cash out check." Then because it's limited to once a day per character continue to do that on other characters and while everyone else goes about their day.
  3. Arsenal control really needs a way to play well with the AT inherents, or a good reason to not worry about the interaction and right now it has neither.
  4. If you could get this reward more than once a day per character I'd see more of the arguments. You get it once a day though. You get your Shiny for the day and then don't need to think about it. You can get double the Aether by running 1 stars.
  5. A control set that doesn't interact well with containment or domination, but has no bonus to compensate. That's where it stands right now.
  6. Im not Arcane but that's how I read it. I won't be a constant problem, and I agree with it. It won't be anything more than a minor consideration
  7. No, this mechanic is worth exploring and The arguments against it feel really weird.
  8. Playing Regular ITF and Aeon is a penalty because you don't get aether
  9. We can go round like this all day. "It won't bother you if it's implemented if it's only once per day."
  10. I make my intentions clear all the time and if that's not what another player wants they can grin and bare it or drop the team.
  11. Well then it's a good thing you can only get one per day, then you don't have to worry about it.
  12. If you're kicked off a team or can't get one because of a single Aether that team lead was a not great person and would have done it anyway. there are 5 roles to fill and room for 8 on a team.
  13. People are coming out of the wood work because this is more than likely a positive feature that will help new players get the resources to start building out their characters. It's not rocket science.
  14. My merry band of idiots can clear the ITF in under 50 minutes. We have Aeon down to sub-hour times, with the Vanguard fight. It won't take us long to do the same for Lady Grey. We are ruining the Aether Market The point of this being that 1 Aether Per day per character won't ruin the market. 1 Aether Per day is not going to encourage team leads to kick people or force others to switch characters. You will more than likely get the bonus just from the same random recruiting you do already.
  15. Wow this is actually controversial to people? Look prismatic aether are valuable because you can spend them (which takes them out of the market) on cosmetic pieces for characters. As long as people create alts they want to bling out, the demand for Aether will only rise. If you think 1 Aether per character per day is going to flood the market wait till you see what me and my friends do with 4 star advanced modes. Then there's the question of FOMO. 1 aether per day is going to be game changing fo new players, for old hands though, it's just a nice cherry on top in th event you aren't building a meme team.
  16. Yep, Patch not say Hibernate, In game is Ice elemental. Is ice elemental really necessary for the pool?
  17. Seconded. Buckshot is the best AOE knock on the set. M-30 and Buckshot to more for my survival than beanbag ever could. Buckshot best shot.
  18. Ultimately the biggest problems with the set is that it's new and people are still learning how it works. Combine that with the not great visual of storm cell you have a recipe for confusion.
  19. This doesn't look like it will even have the desired effect. Teams tend to move even faster in the late game than they do in the mid, HM content aside. So making it slower to recharge in the late game makes it even worse.
  20. I threw together a generic IO build for AR/Ninja and took it for a spin against +1/x3 on test. I had choking powder, char, bonfire, and all the knocks that AR is known for. No aim for this test. I waited to engage until bonfire was ready and used both holds liberally throughout the missions. After just 2 missions my death total was 9. I was playing very conservatively, using corner pulling, leading enemies in bonfire ect. Every death, and I mean every one, was because a hold or M-30 missed. All that crowd control didn't make a difference after a couple glooms from Vampyri killed my acc.
  21. Ignite I get. It's a power that if you take advantage of and build around can do serious damage work. However there is not a single problem beanbag solves that can't be solved with aim+sniper, and the latter solves the problem a lot more permanently.
  22. Give Incinerator ignite's DPA. It's a single target attack it shouldn't break anything.
  23. No beanbag can get and stay gone. Aim is actually a good power. Why stun an LT when you can aim and snipe it into the next life, and arrest them.
  24. I wass under the impression that this was incinerator's actual base damage. This would be worth giving up ignite for. As it stands however this number is very wrong. It's actual DPA is less than half of this. 63-79 DPA is not even close to worth the loss of ignite for. Ignite could work in teams with a tank taunting or some kind immobilize. Losing that tactical flexability isn't worth it.
  25. The notion that Control is somehow a liability is baffling. Every control Primary has a an AOE hold that can be slotted with the Lockdown: Chance for +2 mag proc. On my Plant/time this is locking down groups with ease. Seeds of Confusions requires multiple applications to stick but mobs survive long enough for seeds to still be a factor. There's also Carrion creepers. They're doing the same work they always do. Knockdown is still as potent a control tool as it always has been, So fire, Ice, and Earth have tools that can be effective CC. Darkness control might have to work to get CC, but everything in dark comes with -tohit debuffs, including the pets, which are helpful. I'd need to Gravity and Mind people to weigh in as I don't have experience with them, but think Think Detention field would be really strong
