  1. Yeah I dig that. Spring Attack is like a mini AOE especially with Procs. You can get around 400 damage with Gaussian up. The only issue there is, unless you are rolling a ton of recharge like in that of the time manipulation secondary you may run into an issue of it just not being up enough of the time. I could probably get it to come up every 30 secs in a FF build which isn't half bad but not great. As far as the personal MM attacks, I find they are more or less better for CC'ing with the right procs than actual damage. At most you may get around 200 damage out of one with the right damage procs and gaussian being up. Useful, yes.. threatening? ehh that's debatable. Side note, I think I read somewhere that if someone does decide to roll with the MM personal attacks and if used properly...it can be equivalent of the same amount of damage of the T3 pet. So no doubt useful but not as explosive as some of the alternative options out there like Spring Attack or Knockout Punch.
  2. Hey all, As I've continue to question my obsession with the Robotics FF build, I have gone and looked into trying to create more and more offense out of a historically non offensive mastermind build. One of the things I enjoy most in CoH is playing archetypes unconventionally and trying to maximizing their abilities in unexpected ways while still retaining it's core purpose. Needless to say...it can be a really tough balance... When it comes to the Bots/FF build its really...really good at surviving as you all know. Tanking is a non issue... however being a damaging threat yourself...yeah that's a bit tricky. I looked into it's strengths (defense) and said...the beauty of FF is as everyone knows...its hands off (sometimes downright boring.) So how can we take advantage of this? We need to do things while we stay alive...hell...let's go beyond that, let's murder souls ourselves...as it's not like we are doing anything really else to keep things alive. Let's get down to it. Knockout Blow! The whole build revolves around this. The idea of doing potentially 500 damage in a single attack as a MM should be considered illegal...but hey.. here we are. Kick! Why is this important? Force Feedback...we want that baby up as much as we can. Which will mean...more Knockout Blow! Cross Punch! This is your big time AOE...sure it's a cone and sure its a small radius but boy does this have procs including another Force Feedback. School of Sharks will keep things stuck while you punch them in the face. Soft Capped positional defenses thanks to the protector bots shield. Just under 60% S/L resists... then throw in your body guard mode.... Boom here comes the pain! Bots all have knockback to knockdown so you'll be literally kicking them while their down not to mention watching them burn alive thanks to your buddy Assault bot. Okay enough blabbing from me. Here is the build attached. Mastermind - Bots Forcefield Build Scrappermind.mxd
  3. Just an update here...may help with the chaos I have been experiencing. Removed Provoke to keep it a more ranged strategy with the intention of keeping the pets in aggressive mode. Enhanced up Web Envelope for longer immobilize duration, added Power Boost as I had not considered the synergy with it and Fortify Pack. Added to the heal as I think with the new strategy, healing needs to be more prioritized. All these changes added a bit to my ranged defense getting it to 40% which is pretty good I think. I think the rotation will end up being, assign pet damage, fulcrum shift, transfusion, transference, call ravens....repeat. Hopefully this works! Mastermind - Beast Mastery - Kinetics 5.0.mxd
  4. Hey all, I've found myself at a bit of a crossroads recently where I am unsure of what direction makes the most sense so any advice you may have would be much appreciated. I have a LVL 50 Beast/Kin MM but I am unsure of whether I should be switching my build to something less Tankermind and more Sit Back and watch the Beasts reign havoc sort of build. My goal in my Beast/Kinetics build is to be able to send my beasts in while buffing the crap out of them as they go to town however due to a lack of CC on my first build I am not sure if I need to rethink the build or stick with the original idea but tweak it in other ways. Build 1 has the following stats This build is using your classic Scorpion Shield setup along with a not very enhanced Web Envelope but has Provoke for Tankerminding. Build 2...switches this up and has the following Stats. While Statwise it seems like a bit of a step down this build gives me Bonfire for what I feel will be a much needed CC. So my question is, does it make sense to pursue Heat Mastery over Mace Mastery if I wanted more CC to achieve more efficient DPS as the dogs run wild? Is there something I am not considering, any veterans opinions here would be most appreciated as I have noticed at the end of the day...I feel a bit more squishy and chaotic at times than I would like. 5. Okay, a bit of an update here. Switched out Intimidate and Invoke Panic for Web Envelope and Power Boost. This allows for better holds as it will counter any KB and allow me to give my bots an even higher defense. By increasing the defense I was able to remove Edict of the Master Defense bonus on the Protector Bots for another Explosive Strike Proc. Additionally I removed Force Bubble (As I never used it) for Repulsion Bomb for more AOE goodness. Mastermind - Bots Forcefield Build Improved Offense 2.0.mxd
  6. Hey All, I tend not to post builds but I figured I may as well start... Would love to hear some constructive criticism if you have any. So the nature of this build is simple, as a Bots/FF Mastermind there are two types of playstyles you want to be able to have: Tanking & Ranged. This build focuses on both options. It relies on your Bots to really dish out damage...mainly assault bot as is probably expected. Additionally there is a crap ton of knockdown in this build to really control the battlefield when combined with Photon Grenades Stun & Immobilize Proc along with Invoke Panic. When facing some crazy AVs on a team, just cycle Burst and Blast and you should be in good shape...additionally its nice having them if you ever decide to do flashback missions as it gives you some bonus offense in the early levels. The biggest crux of this build is the lack of heal. The nice thing is Bots can repair worst case but I also run the incarnate Rebirth Radial Epiphany for good measure. Currently I can run a fire farm at 52X8 with no issues and its surprisingly fun. Tankermind Cycle - Provoke, Invoke, Photon, Repeat. Ranged Damage Cycle - Burst, Blast, Photon with the occasional Intimidate or Force Bolt when needed. http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/download.php?uc=1493&c=701&a=1402&f=HEX&dc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hanks for reading!
