  1. Thanks for the good review!
  2. I used a level 23 Praetorian and it has that genuine Praetorian feel: I was trounced by ambushes twice.
  3. If you wouldn't play your AT without their ATOs, is the AT really complete? Some people say Scrappers are "unplayable" without the ATOs to shore up their crit chances. Since Brute ATOs are kind of skippable that must mean that Brutes are still too powerful.
  4. The thing I find most annoying about tankers vs brutes is that tankers, the defense experts, get fewer defensive powersets to choose from.
  5. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Take care.
  6. Bug reports already creates a list of bugs that needs to be fixed in a place where the devs are more likely to see it.
  7. One thing is easy to do and anyone can create an account on the wiki and do it in a few minutes. The other thing is to report the error as a bug and wait for the volunteer devs to take time out of their volunteer unpaid schedule to fix what is basically a non-issue, since the mission can be completed and isn't really broken, it just takes a little longer to finish than expected. I can't really add caveats for all possible gaming setups so if you can't backdrop or whatever, I guess none of these solutions are for you.
  8. Another option is to add a note to the wiki about the mission, so that people can check the wiki if they run into a mission like this and find out that the text is lying and you really have to do this objective.
  9. It would be cool if Crey was around at lower levels, just doing normal stuff and not being eeeevil.
  10. This is the problem. He should have been very visible from level 1-20, at least, in order to make his absence actually matter.
  11. I've managed to miss those. Nice catch.
  12. Whenever anything I make go missing, it's usually because I loaded the autosave-file instead of the actual file I was working on. Another far-fetched option could be that your game folders have become write protected by Windows, which can happen if you installed in the "wrong" place. If so, your hard work won't get saved. The game really wants to sit in the c:/games/ folder, and not in any other place which Windows feels strongly about. If that's not it, we might need more information to figure out what this could be about.
  13. Test of changes has now been performed. The results were deemed "adequate". Thank you for your patience.
  14. I replayed my old arc today in honor of this occasion. It seems like the new Arachnos recruitment program has made a mess of the final mission in that arc. If a certain Arbiter appears in female disguise, don't mention it. He's very proud of his disguises. He might get angry if you mention it and randomly attack you, but just try to ignore him. The faulty arbiter has been replaced. Due to lack of time no testing has been done to check that this worked. Have a nice day. In any case, thanks for selecting my arc!
  15. Maybe they'll get around to this when they adjust all the merit rewards for content in a post-incarnate world. Don't be surprised if most arc rewards will be heavily slashed.
  16. I have a lot of ideas of content that I'd like to see expanded upon but my longest lasting pet peeve must be the lack of Statesman, Sister Psyche and Freedom Phalanx content in the early game. I made a thread about my opinions and what I want to do about it:
  17. I don't know what is possible to do with the dialog trees but if something is to be done at all, I suggest there could be options to tell Dean to cut it out try that again and see what happens, or flirt back. 1 and 2 would then proceed but with the male dialogue, while 3 would continue with the female dialogue.
  18. I'm fairly sure I have managed to drag Harken down to the exit once since I started playing on HC. 99% sure. I've never managed to find/click all the wounded PPD and also drag out Harken in time. But in any case, the mission says "go to the exit", and the wiki says "go to the exit" so I think at some point the mission must have demanded that we go to the exit. Unless the option to go to the elevator was always there but I never tried it, and whoever edited the wiki never tried it.
  19. Do you have a power that causes confusion?
  20. I wouldn't mind a level 8-15 SF starting in Mercy, taking on the Snakes and Infected. Something in Port Oakes involving Fort Hades might also be fun, or for that matter the Black Blood of the Earth. Or why not both? The Circle of Thorns are in Port Oakes hunting for souls already so a magical oil spill might be of interest to them, too.
  21. How about tokens to start at level 10, 20 or even 30? The first 20 levels take so little time but can be tedious to solo through, a token to bypass them don't seem like an unreasonable request. If I could sometimes hop straight to level 10, 20 or 30 I might do that, rather than go bother a farmer to join them for 20 minutes. I wouldn't buy a level 50 token unless I'm trying to reroll a level 50 character that needs a new powerset, AT or origin. What if the cost of a level 50 token is a level 50 character? You have to take your level 50 character and go to a special NPC, request a do-over and when you do, the token ends up in your email and you are instantly kicked off the game and the character is deleted. Your name is reserved for the usual 20-30 minutes. You'll lose your badges of course, that's the cost of starting over.
  22. It's a common surname. Clearly the Jenkins we know and love has a sister, who has finally been able to join the Arachnos army and follow in her brother's clumsy footsteps.
  23. I had this happen to me as well, and it turned out that I had chosen the wrong alignment tips. Go back to your base and see if the tips come back, or go to a co-op zone and see if they show up. If they do, you probably got the wrong alignment tips too. Re-reading your report I realize I answered the wrong question.
  24. This mission is full of unusual things happening and it's difficult to know if it works right. I managed to find Harken and brought him to an elevator that didn't work. He said 'Thanks for getting me out alive', despite the time running out. Then the mission ended, but didn't fail. So it seems like something might be wrong but it's hard to tell what exactly. Previously you had to bring Harken all the way down to the exit to rescue him, not just any random elevator. This is also how the mission is described on the wiki (https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Roy_Cooling).
