  1. It is reading an arachnos mace and I'm a dominator. I don't even have one of the arachnos. I shouldn't have that weapon slot basically.
  2. I'm getting the following: When I go into one of the costumes with the lock I see this: Any advice?
  3. @Nightmarer How do you like Earth / Earth compared to Fire / Earth? What do you find are the benefits of one vs the other? I'm working on a Dominator currently and they were a couple of the powerset options on my list.
  4. Your philosophy appears to match my mentality with this character... the best defense is OFFENSE! I appreciate the tips and look forward to seeing your thoughts on a build for this concept.
  5. The minimal effects setting makes Bio's look fine for me. My character concept is one where I was exposed to some radiation from a star and gained powers. Some biological coupled with some energy is very believable concept wise. I wish I was better at making builds and new what it took to put an Energy / Bio build together.
  6. Hello Brute Community! I'm wondering if anyone has tried out the new Energy Melee paired with Bio? From what I hear it would be a very good and damaging (single target at least) combo. I have very limited experience / knowledge on both, so I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to share there experience. What are the limitations of the combo? Any thoughts on why most ppl seem to be opting for Energy Armor or Willpower with it? Any build advice or build shares that could be provided? (I'd like to be a wrecking ball that is still tough, but when it comes down to it will prioritize dmg first)
  7. Thank you so much for sharing the build! I appreciate the adjustments to accommodate for stealth. I know from some of my other chars that I can take that celerity enhance and drop it in sprint which can be run w/ SS for the same effect and free a slot. Do you have any recommendations on a good location for that free slot to go instead?
  8. Hello Farmers! Looking for some assistance building a Tank Fiery / Rad Fire Farm Follower. My goal is to be able to set my guy on follow on someone while I'm working and let them help with aggro and dmg during a fire farm. Wondering if anyone has done this themselves or if anyone has any advice.
  9. Hello Scrapper Community! I have a concept for a Dark Melee / Shield villain, but I'm unsure of how to build it and hoping you can help. I'm going to be duo'ing with a buddy of mine on the way to 50. We plan to lvl them completely on the villain side, though they may freelance once 50. One thing I'd like to have is the ability to stealth through missions as we plan to be able skip things when we want. Wondering if anyone who has experience can share their build and any advice?
  10. Thanks for taking the time to type up this response for me. I'm still getting back into the game and am definitely learning Mids still. I can now clearly see what your talking about with the recharge and animation times. I'm going to do some moving around and try your build out! Thanks for the build and the time @Darkir
  11. So I know that people prefer / Shield over / SR to pair with War Mace, but due to character concept reasons I wasn't feeling the shield. Wondering if the build I posted above is losing out on significant benefits by doing so. Any comments or critique is very much appreciated!
  12. Brutes are great, so I can't fault you for going back. I haven't played energy melee, but I hear GREAT things. My goal in this game is to have a solid hero for what I designate as the 3-4 primary rolls. I have most filled, but am struggling with ranged damage... Support Name: Obscura Luna AT: Controller Powers: Dark / Dark Summary: Obscura turns the battlefield into bunch of blind kids with foam bats... things rarely hit the group and if they do, it almost tickles. Unfortunately the same can be said for her damage, or complete lack there of. Ranged Damage Candidate 1: Frack The Hunter AT: Blaster Powers: Fire / Electric Summary: While the dmg is very satisfying, the character isn't as satisfying overall. It's a Blapper style of play and I'd honestly prefer to be a brute if I'm gonna be in melee. Doesn't quite fit the ranged dmg dealer role for me. Candidate 2: Vevick AT: Defender (Offender) Powers: Nature / Dark Summary: I had heard good things about "offenders" and had a cool concept that fit nature / dark.... but I find it busy and not very satisfying to play. Candidate 3: Undar Zhero AT: Corruptor Powers: Ice / Cold Summary: I like the sound a look of ice and that the character seems to have a very defined roll. Blast away and slow things to a crawl. Dmg isn't very impressive and the scare of how much dmg you take when you are hit is high (with my current build). So far this build is looking like the one I fully invest in getting incarnated out. Candidate 4: Undar Zhero (Reborn) AT: Corruptor Powers: Ice / Rad Summary: I've heard this is really the way to go and I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on why I should look into it over Ice / Cold. Melee Damage (/ Tank) Name: Trick Ortrick AT: Brute Powers: Mace / SR Summary: Trick checks all the boxes. Solid Damage, Above Average Survivability, Control via KD's, and he is a Brute so he can serve the Tank roll in most groups. Tank Summary: Do you really need a tank if you've already got a well built brute you enjoy? Anyways, I'm just rambling on and looking for some advice. Any thoughts are appreciated!
  13. So, I hear great things about Ice / Rad Corruptors.... I recently made an Ice / Cold Corruptor and I'm wondering what more / Rad would bring. Hoping some existing Ice / Rad Corruptors can sell me on why that spec is "superior" to the straight Ice / Cold build.
  14. @Darkir I recently rolled a Ice / Cold Corruptor that I plan on playing in a "HOVERruptor" play style. I had actually been looking at @Snarky's build here and it had intrigued me. I'm curious, have you made any additional changes or did you settle on your latest build post? @DarkirI like how your build addresses some resistance for the times that shots do hit you... but it looks like you sacrifice even more dmg to achieve it. (Comparing the dmg on the powers in yours vs Snarky's build and that isn't counting when Power Build Up is active). I also hear many ice corruptors take dark to get even more dmg buff. I'm curious about your thought on this? Corruptor Ice dmg already feels a little light (compared to my War Mace Brute for instance), so I'm nervous to lower it further. I have not gotten incarnates unlocked yet as I just hit 50 and am guessing that is where "my damage" will come from. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  15. Hello Friends! Looking for some assistance with tightening up my Mace / SR build. It's my first attempt at a Brute and I think I'm pretty close to a solid build. The plan for the build is to be a general build for everything from endgame to exemplar'ing down and also some light farming. 16. @KaizenSoze what build did you end up with in the end? I'm working on a grav/mind dom currently and I'd love to see where you ended up. If you or any other Grav Dom experts could share, I'd be very appreciative.
  17. OK folks, I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts and any advice you can share on the following endgame build I'm working towards. I'm also curious as to any thoughts on what to run in place of the purple sets while I continue my journey to 50. 18. Once again, thank you all for the great input and advice here! Since all these great claw minds are gathered, can you share what you typical "attack chain looks like"? My main and former heroes were all more Ranged Based, so I'm still learning a lot when it comes to melee. Also, I'll be sharing the build I'm working towards soon. One that incorporates the advice I've heard in here and the builds I've reviewed. I'm hoping you all can share your input on that as well! Thanks again for being such a great community!
  19. @ZacKing I'm very intrigued by your build. I notice you have far less recharge (lack of haste) than other claws scrappers I've seen. Is that why you have both Spin and Eviscerate? For longer attack chains? Your defensive numbers appear to be very good with this build as well.
  20. Hey all 😃 Thanks so much for all the feedback and discussion that has taken place here! You've given me lots of information to review and digest. One additional question I have is why Spin over Eviscerate? I tend to see people only take one or the other. @Jaxman100 I see you opted for Spin, can you share some of your reasoning behind that? To me it seems like Eviscerate would the superior skill with higher dmg and increased crit. Again, I greatly appreciate everyone's time and input!!!
  21. I greatly appreciate all the information and advice! I'm now feeling much more confident that I can go Claws / Ninjutsu and feel good about the choice. Now the question is how do I build it? I'm gonna work on trying to assemble one over the next couple days that I'm hoping you all can help me review (as I'm definitely a novice at builds), but would greatly appreciate it if anyone has a suggested build they could share. Thanks again for the help!
  22. Hey @Doomguide2005 I appreciate your feedback. I corrected the wording to indicate stealth as Ninjutsu provides a Shinobi-Iri which grants stealth with a dmg bonus on the 1st attack. The Shinobi-Iri power was actually what drew me to Ninjitsu on the scrapper. Again, for the theme, I was thinking about a stealthy scrappy fox. I know I could go stalker to get hide and such, but I have a Savage Stalker I like well enough and wanted to try the Scrapper AT.
  23. Hello Scrapper Community and thanks for stopping by my post! I recently created a Claws / Ninjutsu Scrapper name Lady Foxy. I dig her character concept, but I'm still learning when it comes to making builds and having a tough time finding a good one in the forums for this combo. This brings me here to ask the experts a few questions... 1) Can anyone share a good Claws / Ninjutsu build? 2) What are the pitfalls of choosing Ninjutsu as a secondary? 3a) Do you have any recommendations on a different secondary to pair with it? (NOTE: For thematic reasons I'd prefer to avoid elemental type secondary choices. She is basically part fox and I can't see a fox with control of Ice, Fire, Radiation etc.) 3b) If I could get over the thematic thing, is there a secondary that would be ideal and fun? 4) How does the attack from stealth* work? (I read that you have to be in hide for 20 seconds which seems very long) That's all I have for right now and any assistance is greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time 😃
  24. Hey @DocMidknight thank you so much for sharing your build! I definitely like the look of it. I just have a couple follow up questions if you don't mind. I see you have Agility chosen, but you appear to be def softcapped without it. Any reason for that choice? I'm also wondering if you need the blessing of the zephyr in Hover as you appear to be set with defense without it? How do you like the possess power? I see no Soul Drain... isn't that the biggest thing in Soul Mastery? Thanks again for stopping in to share, and if you have the time to answer those questions, it would be greatly appreciated!
  25. The fact that I'd be locking stuff down made me think that ranged would be enough, but then I started second guessing. Will I want to get the ranged def up more (still below the soft cap which I believe is 45%)? If so, any recommendations on how to do that? Also, I forgot in the original post (since edited), how does my recharge look? I'm still new to making my own build and trying to get a better understanding on all this.
