  1. Hey @Ston! Just out of curiosity, did you ever complete a trapdoor run with this toon? I am wondering how well /SR compares to /Bio in terms of clearing speed. I am wondering if the +DMG bio brings is very significant compared to any other set? I feel like SR is one of the most tankiest sets for sentinels, and although Bio can improve dmg, is worth it giving up survivability for X amount of extra damage?
  2. Hi all, After playing CoH for almost 3 years now, I decided to finally fully commit to the art of badging, starting the journey with a fresh character (great excuse to make an alt am I right 😉). The initial thought of tracking every badge and perhaps making some kind of plan for the approach got me curious if there is sort of an optimal/efficient way to go about it. So my question is, how do you folks approach badging (starting from lvl 1)? Do you have a general guideline you follow or do you just go with the flow? I look forward to read your stories! -Chedda
  3. This is really impressive! I was wondering how an Elec/Bio compares to the good old Elec/Shield? Also, did you put any procs in lightning rod? As far as I remember most teleport powers do not respond that well to procs but I could be wrong here
  4. Ooh you just sparked my interest! Can you tell me more about this so called ‘sentinel Konami code’? Outdamaging blasters sounds like a challange 😄
  5. Hi all, I was wondering if you guys could share your stories about your main character(s)? Why is it your main and what makes him/her so fun to play? Personally, I love my EM/Rad/Mu brute Chedda Gold, just because the build is so damn steady and he hits like a truck! I am curious to hear your thoughts! -Chedda
  6. Thanks for the feedback all! I guess in terms of goals I want to run most lower level Tfs and ‘normal’ content during the leveling phase, slowly building up to the end game content. Then eventually (once I feel comfortable with the class) get into the newly added difficult content. (And badging of course because I love shiny stuff) I consider myself to be an experienced player so the challenge of /poison sounds very appealing to me 🙂 I like to min-Max my characters so I will definitely take advantage of IOs (also during leveling) One additional question I have is hoe affective the above mentioned builds are in the new ‘hardmode’ content? (I don’t want to feel like dead weight lol) Thanks! -Chedda
  7. Hi all, I was wondering if you guys could help me decide on a new controller. Right now, it is between plant/dark and fire/poison. I would say that I play in teams 90% of the time. I mainly play dps and tanks so I will be going a little bit outside of my comfort zone playing a controller (probably why I went with the highest dps primaries lol), but I think it will keep things fresh and interesting! Thanks for the help! -Chedda
  8. This is crazy impressive!! You completely changed my mind on controllers tbh! I guess I was just building them ‘wrong’ up until now lol would you mind sharing the build?
  9. Sorry I should have elaborated, my question is mainly costume/RP related. I usually base my characters on real life superhero/fantasy characters and adding my own twist to the costume / backstory. However, with bio I am having a difficult time coming up with a cool costume/backstory
  10. Hi all, Currently, building a solid Bio/TW tank, and I am really liking the versatility of bio combined with the hard hits that TW provides. However, I have some trouble coming up with a cool concept for the character. Do you guys have any suggestions? Thanks!
  11. @Ironscarlet thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it. At first I was leaning more towards spines/rad (scrapper) since rad is a bit less squishy compered to bio. However I like the dmg bonus bio gets, and something that is dead cannot kill your 😄 I mostly play on teams (like 90 % of the time) all type of content. Not sure how well spines is suited for this type of content ?
  12. Hi all! I was wondering how Spines perform on a scrapper compared to a brute? Currently I am still not sure if I should roll it on a scrapper or a brute. I know that dmg auras are very good on brutes, however with the ATOs, I would assume that a scrapper still comes out on top in terms of dmg? If I would roll a scrapper, what would be the best spot for ATO2? Sidenote: I will probably go for either /Rad or /Bio for thematic reasons (and I like taunt auras :D)
  13. Do you mind sharing this build? It looks absolutely BEAST!!
  14. I decided to go with Street Justice in the end! This is the endgame build I came up with - Softcapped melee, AoE and ranged is at 44.5 % - Great recharge - Endurance issues will be mitigated by ageless and temp powers Let me know what you think! 15. Hi all, After playing blasters for a long while I decided to go back up close in personal, reactivating my inner scrapperlock. I decided to go with a martial arts/brawler style concept because I really like the flashy animations and shield is a solid secondary. My question is which one excels more (performance wise), martial arts or street justice? I know that comparing powersets in CoH is a bit difficult and subjective but I’m very curious to hear your opinions! Thanks!
  16. Hi all! I just came back from a long CoH break and I'm very excited to create a fresh character again! I want to make a scapper that's all about dealing damage, so the playstyle will be centered around "if it's dead it can't kill you". That's why I'm probably going for Fire melee for the primary power set. However, when it comes to the secondary set I am still on the fence. Both Bio and SD can improve damage with offensive adaptation and AAO and both sets have their pros and cons. When it comes to SD I really like the added AoE of Shield charge and the ability to softcap defense without much problems. However, the main drawback is the end use which basically makes ageless mandatory. Bio is a cool set with tons of possibilities and great end/health management, with the only drawback being that it is a bit more squishy and more ' clicky' Plus Im still not sure how offensive adaptation exactly works (what are the numbers?) I was wondering if you guys could help me with my decision? Im very curious what you think!
