  1. Either Energy or Super Reflexes could be adjusted to look like a personal force field. Or you could go Regen Then every time he does die use the Rez to beam in another one.
  2. I have a fire/rad. Tough as nails and huge fast damage output. But currently i really like my Elec/Nin/mako. Nin is really fun huge positional def, a heal, a plus end power. Electric can drain pretty good. And knockout blow does mega damage when you need a single target smack. It’s super versatile.
  3. This is a pretty good idea I didn’t really consider. Keeping hasten but not using it as auto. I have the scropion pool so i think i swapped it for pff to mule a lotg. The 127.5% recharge give me like a 5 second widow for it to go off again so if i’m stuck in an animation i won’t miss it too often. I went musculature for now to focus on damage. I will buy the base buff before so TFs just to mitigate and recharge debuffs i may encounter. But hasten could be good to have for those times. It’s cool to plan for different problems that could come up.
  4. I really like doms. I'm decent at playing them and building them but by no means great. I recently decided to make a permadom without hasten. Dark/Rad I got him to 50 kitted him out and he is a lot of fun to play. Though Rad is kinda a weird bag for me. I made a bunch of inf with him. Then decided to make another one(i'm sold on dark as a primary). I made a Dark/NRG the survivability is awesome and the damage output really good, again no hasten(127.5% global recharge). I like the idea of set it and forget it. I have several doms with hasten that I won't change they are a lot of fun. So questions to you all: Have you made permadoms without hasten? What power sets? how do you like it?
  5. This makes me happy. As i started to look into ice it just seemed better and better. That -res can really up the damage. It will also be a play style that keeps it interesting. Thanks all.
  6. Thanks! I have along ranged Dom if i want that so this is great. I playing around with power choices. I was thinking about dropping hurl boulder. And going ice as the epic. It has a def sheild. Sleet is a -res and it has a heal/increase ho power. What do you think?
  7. I made a plant/earth. I really want a melee ranged huge damage Dom. But i'm having trouble figuring out how to get enough defense. Any help would be great.
  8. So here is what I’m thinking. I want at least soft capped Defense. But since I’m going for a mixed martial art build(mercenary Cap type guy), i wanted to add in at least cross punch. Plus cross punch intrigues me with all it’s underlying stuff like plus recharge. I could take boxing and kick and not slot them just to get cross punch up. I could skip tough since i’m gonna rely on my defense. That would save me on slots. I’m also not sure if I want the intimidate pool it might be cool to have an AOE fear plus maybe thematic. It’s alot and i’m not sure how to fit the peices together. I have a mac that refuses to let me put mids on it so if you have an idea please post it. Thanks for looking at this challenge!

    I have a STJ/Rad brute at lvl 41. I'm thinking of respecting him. I just am wondering what sort of an attack chain would be efficient and powerful especially if i have permahasten? or if I don't? Thanks
  12. I went Plant/MA mainly cause of theme. Broko Lee: learned martial arts from the master as a sprout. But I has been a great pairing! I only took one melee attack the rest are shuriken attacks. Not epic in the sense of wow your gonna sol 4+x8 but super fun to play and survivable. Fun solo and on a team.

  14. Thanks for all your ideas. I have a very different build when I can I'll post it. The point of TB being on fast cool down is a good one. I 'll keep ragnarok 5 slotted with annihilation -res in it. Then slot KB with procs. I skipped short circuit cause I wanted to explore the experimentation pool. I wanted adrenal boost to see what it can do for me and I like it. I also took corrosive vial cause partly for the AoE mainly to mule sets. It actually can come in handy some times. KB is just a great power to push my damage to max on single target but it's not a crucial part of my attack chain. Also the -end works really well.
  15. I have a Electric/Nin Sentinel. I have him built out and to my surprise I have him with soft capped Def and perma hasten. I still have not put any enhanments into Knock out blow from Mako PPP. So I would like to Proc out an attack. Should I proc out knock out blow? or Put ragnarock in ti and proc out Thunderous blast instead. Thunderous blast currently has a purple set 5 slotted with a -res proc. I can deal with missing on those 2 powers. And I have an end recovery power that will keep me going. Any advice is appreciated. And no i have yet to get mids actually working on my Mac, though i've tried.

    This is an interesting build i like how high the defense is. For your goal of incatnate trials this works great with large trial you will get +recharge from a bunch of /kins or /time or whatever so recharge isn’t as big a problem. Quick question, is spirit tree worth it? It seems that on an incarnate trial vengeance may be a better team buff and you can slot a LoG in it. Then use the extra slots for other powers. Not a criticism because i really want to know how useful spirit tree is.

    This was the way I was going to go. My Dom is now up to lvl 43. I was a little surprised when I saw the shield was a +def shield. that with sleet and ice storm!!! Drop a group immobilised then hide around the corner and drop both of those out of line o sight. Thats a good combo.

    I am also interested in this. The theme is to great to pass up!!! a mutant plant that has learned Kung fu!!! Enter The Broko Lee!!!! Also I have taken just 1 melee attack to keep with the theme. Throwing shrikes is just awesome.
  19. Where can a sentinel fit in on a team that clears very quick? On any defeat all mission. Any where mobs need to be cleared. Why? My sentinel can take an alpha strike while clearing half a mob. So what happens? I break from the group usually one or two follow me and we clear in 2 groups instead of one. The mission goes way faster. The main tank can protect the other group. If a blaster follows me all the faster. Just one area ive seen a benefit. There are many tactical/strategies decisions we can delve into more options. No need to say this over that but what works together in fun new ways.

  21. I have my thugs/time to lvl 29. It has been a blast to play. Your guide has really helped me to slot my pets. I really wasn’t sure how to do it.
  22. I have a 50 Grav/Earth dom. Thematically it’s great. Now i’m 50 and trying to set up my build. I’ve had trouble. Deciding how i want to play him. I stay alive if i stay ranged and smah stuff from far off. But earth has some huge melee attacks. But then i get close and a KO can happen very quick. Not sure what i should do. Or if i can build for both. Any thoughts?

  24. Do any of the sentinel set have resistance and defense. I know /nin have a small 7% resist all built in, any others?
  25. So if I have 1700 hp and an absorb shield of 700hp I'm technically working around the hp cap right?
