niche items beget niche market considerations. any attempts at inorganically trying to manipulate this with the honor system will simply open up the opportunity for those of us who have wealth to make more of it and better deny those who actually want the items - and this is not specifically done to harm others, but because an opportunity is an opportunity. the best order of business is business as usual (a marketer in a high demand low supply area will happily serve inf and item seekers alike), or make / buy them yourself and donate it to the players you're trying to help. the market as it is now remains in the long run the most effective middle man between those of us trying to make inf and those of us trying to buy items, but this will inevitably lead back to my opening statement - niche items, niche considerations. the main thing for me here is that regardless of all of this, the game gives plenty of tools to secure the set you need in an ultimately relatively short period of time. sure, it could be faster and cheaper if they were sold more frequently and less involved in rare roulette schemes, but that is also a small reason why we can relatively easily convert into the set on our own.

yeah the numina's is a strange case, and I'm almost certain it was a marketer - the supply took an immediate nosedive to zero, and then suddenly a huge amount of bids in both directions. the non suspicious theory could simply be that several people noted the dwindling supply and saw an opportunity to make quick bucks by crafting them, but thats a pretty oft traded enh and it begs the question why all of a sudden... as for you, that was a partially lethal trap. but i did end up making a large amount of money on it. im guessing your bids already cleared.

is someone actually crazy enough to try to manipulate numina's? i've seen some *very* very odd trends going on with it more recently. i try not to be overly quick to judge manipulation when its usually the case that the coincidence is simply the result of lack of information, but seeing the supply drop to zero on a couple less desirable numina's pieces piques my curiosity. edit: hah you nabbed quite a bit out of an enhancement i keep a close eye on, and i had suspected it was you before you even posted that. should have jumped on that earlier in this particular set, but that's also yet another way people end up making money.

@Meknomancer why do you have super speed on this build?

Do you know if the sapping portion gets increased along with the damage?

Would Elec/Kin work out? I've always loved elec in theory, but with it's low damage I usually passed it up.
