  1. I have to admit, I'm shocked. I never thought NCSoft would ever budge. Well done.
  2. I was able to finally fix this. What I ended up doing was delete all the registry folders for CoH and Tequila. When I restarted the game the issue still persisted but it was now in full screen mode and horribly huge so I went back into the registry editor and manually altered the entries in the Crytic CoH folder to be a 0 for full screen to put it back into windowed mode and then manually set the resolution to a default resolution 1440 by 900. Upon restart the options menu worked again and I set all my customization back to confirm it would still work, which it does after rebooting the game. You can find the registry keys in computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic\CoH and computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tequila. The fields I altered were in the CoH keys: fullscreen, ScreenX, and screenY.
  3. I'm having this same issue after taking a break for a couple weeks. Client patched and I can play the game. However, if I attempt to open options the game freezes. It is even doing that when I attempt to access settings on the log in screen. I've completely reinstalled twice now and whitelisted it in my antivirus just in case. Still trying to figure it out. Not sure if this might be helpful in figuring out what is going on here but I did have my mouse inverted in the options prior to this issue. That is one thing that seems to have gone back to defaults though all my other customized key mappings seem to be in place. Perhaps this is what is causing the lock up? I'm on a windows 10 computer with a gtx 1080 and an i7-3770k. Another thing I've noticed is that I can't load the safemode version at all and the same locking up issue occurs in the 64 bit version of the game. It also appears that the option file that normally generates in the tequilla folder is no longer being created after reinstalling the game.
  4. I'm not a big team content person myself but I will say that one of the things about City of Heroes/Villains is that the people are generally some of the nicest people you will play with. I'm sure that will continue to hold true in its rebirth. It's just the culture that evolved around the game, I think.
  5. Oh and I just wanted to offer my opinion here, though I realize it isn't one that matters, but I think you shouldn't provide any benefits to those of us who donate. And I say that as someone who was able to do so before it went down. The reason being is because not everyone who wants to donate will be able to before you reach your goals. Just let those of us who want to help out do so and let the rest play for free in this amazing game brought back from the dead. That's my two cents anyway!
  6. This is great news. Thank you for all the work you are putting into this.
  7. I struggle to even find the words... I have missed this game so much and I never thought I would ever get to fly through Atlas Park again. It makes me unfathomably happy and sad at the same time to do so today. I was never a person to get deeply involved in forums or organizations. I spent most of my time solo in CoX, with the occasional pug when the mood struck me, and an ton of time playing with the character creator. But all the same, this game is very special to me and I was devastated by the loss. I just want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this. This means more to me than I can even begin to express. Thank you to the people hosting and working on these servers. Thank you to the moderators and everyone else doing their part to bring this project together. I wish there was some way I could help or give back for all you are doing. Thank you to the person who decided to release this code to the public. Later is better than never and because of that decision I get to thump bad guys in Paragon City again. It is a tremendous gift. And last (but certainly NOT least) thank you CoX community for never letting go of the dream to get our home back, even after months turned into years. P.S. that level up sound is GD glorious.
