  1. Here's a link to my Human Form PB with softcaps to SLM and perma LF + some other stuff Might be a good base to take and customize to your preferences
  2. Though I know balance is never easy, especially in a game with so many things to balance, I just want to echo the sentiment that others are expressing, that the changes implemented frequently feel poorly justified as well as wildly personal, untested, and unnecessary.
  3. I think your best bet for melee is to go for PBAoEs, I think your best bet for primaries would be Kinetics and for secondary it would be Rad. You get two PBAoEs ,and the first you get at level 4 and is your spammable bread and butter. My second choices for primary would be Traps for Mortar, the mines are there but wont be as useful on fast-moving teams, and Cold, as heatloss will bring you into melee every so often. My secondary choices for blasts would be either Fire or Psychic Blast. Fire because its just a solid set and has a cone and Inferno, Psychic for similar reasons. TL;DR Consider taking a look at Kin/Rad or Traps/Rad
  4. Thanks for the input! I'm personally not a fan of rune, so I probably won't go that route, as I like having the stealth from Super Speed as well as the convenience of always having it available, though thats definitely not minmaxed as you pointed out. The repel slotting you mentioned is also very fun, and I use it on most of my other Kin builds, but left it out of this one by request of my regular teammates and due to the fact that the FF proc would only significantly affect Hasten and shave a few seconds off Fulcrum and 6 or 7 off Atomic Blast. I did however quickly toss in and slot Neutron Bomb with armas while maintaining the Softcaps from my original build, though posis would also work | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1463;668;1336;HEX;| |78DA65934D6F12511486EF8541A405A1520A95523E5A4A0B74CAB4D5D846C5B47E4| |46D1384C46D4360DA4ED200019AE8D2BDDF1BFF42ABB5EA4F70AFF173A5FE85AA5B| |DDE061CE2B98CC047866CEB9E7BCE7BEC35DBF7DC97D78F56E5E48EFEA4EB9D5DA5| |8AD379BBB8D76BDE92C550CBD56D145F772D237D64B6D14CBB52DBDAA16CB55A3DC| |36EAB58D15AA6D07FB0B56763737D51B464D6F1B95961828D4EB3B6AA9A1EB55B77| |9BBA6971B466DCBFBEFA1AA375BDB46C3633E5F31B6B6DB940D5F6E1815B5DF73BD| |5CD1E9A7D5D69B774234CF147D976C0257C72126152134452849E6B11930C63C1E0| |713CCB7B257AB88313BD7C6980311709CE98E3297494F424F9EB599B1134BCC9173| |E03273EA3C98E7DA0932D1CEB5D2FE8D73D9AFCC77D4D46176EE084786A0B944B79| |D135ACE7D9ED9F70C7CCE3C7900EE3187B3ACF59E5AB9B89F74A19F1BEC8E358839| |06CD18ED011C21410FE7842720CDD80782D7DC74C7E60DD24D4411A179D6C986F8F| |902F51CC2AC4359DED3F02CF394CA1CCB811A731CB37EA4167ED4FAEF712E769F19| |7F003E041F31271E338768DE00660B60DE8961D0C7F4D39A20AF91C17DAE0BED31F| |38451688FCE63AE057011B39C664E9E01DF10FD8AF8443DC3F031FC1DEF13EF3541| |9A116846E07B0CBC484BA2D08C1EB007A917CC9943F025F88A997ECDFC4C3D135C6| |B4FC09349783205AF52F0EE0BAD4DE23F9084760A6C50BB69F8360DDFD2F02D0DDF| |6CB4870CB43205029D9BD99B60112C31EDB456C55AF537CF3A374E7D52C438534B3| |0155A9B83760EDA1AB435688F29BDB3491FBA44DA12C959229A25B260892C5A22D7| |CC88E95367CD922D28BD132FA41971F97AE7B873344059F97FF6673F629747EC842| |D0EDEE2DDCD5D67277E58AA7FF523523EC5F979C2FC3342E05CE72F4850E157| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|

  6. Kins are fun, kins are great. Make and play more kins. Capped damage, unlimited health, and unlimited endurance for you and the entire team. Very few sets have as much impact on any and every team, from lowbies to fully incarnated/purpled out teams. This is one of the more fun kin builds I've played, so I'm here to share it. It has: softcapped defenses to Smashing, Lethal, and Energy, permahasten, all the good stuff on super low cooldowns, like FS on a ~15.6s CD, Transference @ ~8 seconds fully slotted SB for the homies It does forgo Neutron Bomb, which is a little bit of a bummer, but I may try to work it in at a later date - probably by dropping Focused Accuracy Anyways, hope you enjoy it!
  7. I've been working on some Tri and Bi form builds lately, here is my first iteration of a Pre-Incarnate Budget Tri Form build. Aside from Gladiator's +3% defense, the Panacea Proc, and the two Kheldian ATO sets, it uses no purples or PvP IOs. Features: Perma Eclipse Perma Hasten Softcapped to S/L in Human Form, 42.23% to Melee 35.1% S/L Defense, 32.3% Melee Defense in Dwarf and Nova Victory Rush is optional, pick up whatever you like. 8. Been enjoying this character recently and thought I'd try to make a high end build for it. I will probably still do more tweaking, it's far from fully minmaxed, but I am happy with what I have so far and figured I'd share it. 9. Thanks! I appreciate the effort and input! I'll give it a look in the planner when I get home later 🙏
  10. Hi! Thanks for your reply, I appreciate the constructive feedback! As for why I called this a cheap build, I feel like it is pretty cheap for a permhasten build with SC to SLE. I'm sure with alphas considered, I could rework it to get rid of the +5s, though I didn't have the impression that they were exorbidant in the first place 😅 In regards to the rest of your reply, I definitely thjnk your proposed slotting for repel would make it much better as a power. I took it primarily to annoy my friends, hence the slotting choice I made. I think if I were to make it usuable in this build, id try removing the gaussians triple in order to two slot repel as you described, sans the endredux. Maybe pull a slot from elsewhere if I find I need that end reduction. As for why I slotted Aim so heavily, doing so reduces the recharge by about 8 seconds vs just the two slot, which is just under a 25% reduction, and I like having aim up as often as possible. This is very potentially a moot point if you're using repel with your proposed slotting though. As well with fulcrum, there's an argument for lower recharge on Aim being less valuable on a kin vs a different corruptor. The biggest issue with the proposed slotting changes, is that they would drop the energy def below SC by removing the t5 Malice bonus and one of the t6 Thunderstrike bonuses. Ill have to do some tinkering around with alphas to see if I can recover that defense without adding too much expense to the build, though. Thanks! 🤗
  11. After making my WS build, I wanted to try out the other side of the coin and make a build with parameters similar to my WS. I made this build, got it accoladed and incarnated up, and ultimately wasn't a huge fan of the PB, mostly due to LF crashes and missing the unlimited endurance and health on demand that Stygian gives. Even if I didn't vibe with the build, I figured I'd post it here without much write-up in the hopes that it may interest or help someone else looking to work on a PB of their own. 12. This is my old build for my plant/psi dom. It could probably use some updating, especially with the quicksnipe changes, but it works very well as is and/or might be a useful starting point for someone else. SC SL, 32.6 to Melee Perma Hasten, Dom, Creepers, etc Drain Psyche is 1.6s off perma, not counting cast time (1.33s) => AKA effectively unlimited endurance and stupid amounts of regen => Once you pop, you cant be stopped Welcoming all questions and constructive criticism, hopefully someone finds the build or commentary useful 👍 Villain Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.6.0.5 https://github.com/ImaginaryDevelopment/imaginary-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build! 15. I tend to make expensive builds, but I wanted to break some of my building habits and try to do a cheap-but-high-performance Kin build, because the world needs more kins. You can stack up to three Siphon Speeds permanently, with this build but even without any stacks, it maintains permahasten. With the SLE SC, you can very comfortably jump into the middle of the fray, cap off everyones damage, health, and endurance before laying out very good AoE damage (especially with your rains leveraging scourge to maximum effect), and very strong ST damage. I didnt take Bitter Freeze Ray mostly because of the cast time causing it to not feel rewarding to use. Repel is replaceable, I took it mostly to annoy my friends. If you don't want Repel, slot in whatever you'd like, I'd probably go with Vengeance though. If there any questions or comments, just ask and ill do my best to respond to them helpfully. 16. Here's a link to a thread where I posted several build options for a high-end HF WS. They're all builds to respec into, not for leveling, but in my main build the WS heal, [Stygian Circle] recharges very slightly over every 8 seconds and provides 45 endurance per body, or functionally limitless endurance - provided you're putting bodies on the floor. I don't remember the heal numbers off the top of my head, but I think it's arguably the strongest self heal in the game in terms of potential personal HP/s. For my build, I believe with just a boss and lieut (maybe even less, I'm not in a position to check atm) you heal for more than your total HP, again, every 8 seconds. Having 45 end per body on the ground, and and obscene healing on an 8s CD just feels great. Actually I mispoke. With my build it's 45% of your total endurance, so it's a bit more than 45 end per body. It's not a huge increase but worth a note.
  17. I'm a big advocate of the human form WS. If you enjoy human form PB play, I think you'll find human form WS even more rewarding. For reasons I believe I elucidated in the thread in my sig, I don't think double mire is necessary for, or even necessarily an improvement over, human form play, though my HF builds include the possibility of using double mire, and the recent changes do make multiform builds more attractive than they previously were. I will say, it's probably much easier to level as a bi or triform WS, but I still greatly prefer the human form experience for endgame. If you enjoy HF PB, I think you'll really love HF WS, as the lack of a psi hole or crash, and the addition of unlimited HP and endurance from Stygian, really take the Human-Form experience to the next level.
  18. I am an outlier in that I dont think Dwarf mire is especially important for human form WS. Even though I have dwarf form and could use the mire, I never do, as I feel the time and survivability lost by going in to Dwarf form for the mire isnt worth it for the content I run. Though faster form swapping does make it more viable. When solo or on teams (esp with a kin), I find my damage is usually capped more often than not with the human mire and converting into/popping reds, as I tend to not get much use out of other inspirations aside from the occasional purple here and there to counteract cascading def failure.
  19. As you noted, I don't remember much of my leveling experience on live, and I PLed my WS here. I'm wondering if I should go through and level on a fresh WS just to have better advice to give, since it seems to be a common issue. I should also mention that my builds are meant to be respec'd into at 50. Disclaimers out of the way, it doesn't surprise me that you are having issues pumping out dps solo. Once you hit 38 and get eclipse, you'll have a lot more time to deal your damage and that should help. However, and at least imo, dps is the biggest weakness of WSs. An unIO'd HF WS is going to feel that pain pretty acutely. Working on some of your global recharge bonuses (LotGs, AT IOs) will also help until you can start getting things like purples slotted! Additionally, once you get eclipse, and especially once it's perma, you can consider carrying more red inspirations (I suggest making conversion macros) as you won't need a good chunk of the other inspirations thanks to Stygian Circle and Eclipse. Hope that helps!
  20. Hi! I'm glad to see you're interested in and enjoying your WS enough to consider making it your next project! I focused a lot on my VEATs before shifting primarily to my WS, so hopefully I can provide some objective and useful insight on the two, though it's obvious where my bias lies 🙂 I highlighted in the quote what I took to be the primary criteria that you're considering and will go through those points. Since you're looking at my human form builds, I'll be comparing my experiences with those and a ranged fort with similar investment (perma hasten/mind link, SC to all positions, etc): Fun: Obviously this is up to you and your own tastes, but even though I consider my Fort one of my top 10 most fun alts, the WS builds in my thread ended up being far and away the most fun of any AT or powerset combination for me. Useful In Groups: In terms of typical gameplay, it's pretty safe to say that the Fortunate will bring more support to a team than a WS, especially one running human form. As a WS, unless you take provoke, you have a nebulous role on teams. With provoke and a fully IOd build, you can tank very effectively while providing more damage and control than a normal tank. Otherwise, you have average consistent/reliable(read: without pets) damage, decent control, and incredible survivability, whereas the Fortunata brings maybe a bit better damage, comparable control, good (but magnitudes lower) survivability, as well as lots of +defense, +to hit, and some +damage for your team through Mind Link and their inherent leadership abilities. I will say though, if you invest fully in one of my non-provoke builds, you can very easily be an asset to teams, especially speedy content, by taking alphas and completing objectives on your own (like in the 2nd mission of the ITF), but those types of benefits are more abstract and dependent upon your teams, playstyle, and content choices. Solo Capability: The builds in my thread can solo any content at +4x8, and as Greycat said, you'll find that you'll always want to run at x8, as it will actually get easier the more enemies you have. Because the Fortunata has easily softcapped positional defenses, CC, and decent damage, it can pretty easily solo a lot of enemy groups at +0-2x8. However, since it lacks good resists and health recovery options to supplement their defense, they won't be able to reach near the solo capability of a MFn WS. Ranged Class: If this is a deal-breaker, then your search ends here. Between a Human Form MFn WS and a Fortunata, there's no question. Definitely the Fortunata, which plays at a (mid) range. Human Form WS is played in Melee, and any build not built around Nova form will tend to involve a good amount of Melee play. Cheap Build: Basically, as I see it, the Fortunata has a high, but lower-overall performance ceiling compared to the WS. It will be much quicker and cheaper to reach the upper limits of your Fortunata build than your Warshade, but I think you can ultimately squeeze more out of the WSs options. There's my two cents, I hope you find some of it useful!
  21. I'm very late to the party, but figured I'll throw in my two cents concerning what I think are some of original post's more significant criteria from the perspective of playing my Human Form WS with the builds in forum post linked in my sig, and from my general experience doing speed runs, farming, and other "high-performance" in-game activities. These are just my own personal opinions and observations ✌️ (though many agree with things others have said) Mez - While for PBs of all flavors and triform WSs, it's not as much an issue, as Micro states: high defenses really help a lot here and in several of the other areas. I prefer to take Clarion to actively address the hole, my reasoning for which I will explain shortly, but running with SC'd S/L/M, and even with just S/L, I find the mezzes rarely come through while scrapperlocking through most level 50 content. And if I play intelligently and focus or lock down Mez threats, even less so. However, getting mezzed at all is a huge issue, and ideally you want a solution that is low management and consistent/constant. For a Human Form WS there are really only 3 options: BFs, Clarion, or rotating Rune/Melee. BFs are honestly fine if you are running a high defense build and you stock up before going into content you know you may need them, and it frees up at least one power choice, but I don't think I need to explain the downsides of relying on insps for survivability. Clarion is my choice as you can have perma Mez resist with T3 for not just you but your team, it can be used when mezzed like a long-duration break free (so you can be lazy like I am and typically not use it until I need to), and it only requires one power choice. While Destiny has great options, and Barrier can really help keep pets alive, it still feels like a much lower opportunity cost than the next option: Rune/Hybrid Melee. I am not a fan of this combo for most builds, but especially not for a WS. You have to take 3 powers to get Rune as well as use your Hybrid slot, this wouldn't be so bad if you weren't essentially using half of Rune (as your res will be capped from Eclipse). Mystic flight doesn't offer much over super speed's stealth and speed when coupled with inherent teleport, and the other powers in the set are more useful, but not more useful than other options in terms of addressing other issues with the AT. I feel as though the opportunity cost of your Hybrid slot is arguably lower than that of the Destiny slot, I feel like Assault Hybrid is a valuable resource for increasing DPS and partially circumventing our low damage cap, which seems to be the biggest issue compared to other classes running "high-performance" content. Single Target DPS - I feel like this is one of the core issues, as much of the "high-end/high-performance" content revolves around DPS, as in large groups, especially of equally IO'd and incarnated characters, a lot of the difficulty becomes at least somewhat trivialized, and speed and efficiency become important factors. And when survivability solo or in groups is not a concern, what else is there to focus on but damage? Our AoE damage is fine, but if we are considering speed and efficiency, the largest speed bumps in content are AVs/GMs, and not masses of trash mobs. Addressing this is tough and honestly I have to go much further out of my way to be an asset on speedrun teams when I am on my WS than I do with a Brute, Blaster, debuffer, or Kin. Having this in mind, after reaching my recharge and defense goals, I focused on minmaxing the damage of my slotting. Making sure to maximize the damage/recharge enhancement values of my main dps skills while fitting in as many damage or -res procs as possible and where/when appropriate. That makes your damage pretty decent, but it's not great. Using Mire (double mire too, but that introduces the retoggling issue that other have mentioned) gives us a pretty consistent and near constant damage boost, but in teams with kins (which my group and many others always run with when doing most content) you can hit your damage cap without Mire (or Build Up for you PBs) and then you're back in the same spot. This is why I use Assault Hybrid, as it not only gives an additional passive damage buff, but the double hit tree allows you to artificially supercede that limited damage cap for a time, providing (I believe) a very valuable and unique means of increasing our damage as Khelds. Beyond all of that, I found making macros to convert insps to reds and just constantly eating them to stay damage capped as I mow through mobs and refill my tray. Keeping Pets Alive - This is other side of the DPS question for WSs. While the above applies to both PBs and WSs, there is more of an argument to made for taking other Hybrid and Destiny powers in order to keep your pets alive. I found it more rewarding to focus those aspects of my build on consistency and my own DPS. Since the pets can still die even with buffs, or you might not always have your maximum out, I felt that by going the route I detailed previously, I was always getting the full value of my power choices at all times. I have more to say about the other topics, and I'll get to them later, but I need a break for now haha. I think these are the big three for me as a Human Form WS though, and hopefully I've said something useful ✌️
  22. Due to real life concerns and obligations I haven't been able to give much, if any, attention or time to the game, so I am going to do a very late reply to many posts in this thread! These are essentially the tactics I use. I would add that the open slot in Quasar is for the KB conversion IO specifically to avoid the issue of quasar blasting precious bodies outside of your Stygian Circle radius. But the primary attack chain is important and you figured it out on your own, Ebon Eye is not really used at all, except as filler when you've messed up your rotation. Otherwise it is essentially as you discovered; Dark Detonation, Gravity Well, then it goes into a repeating pattern of Shadow Blast, Dark Detonation, Shadow Blast, Gravity Well, repeat. This works for ST and AoE, while of course adding in your longer cooldowns/nukes to taste or when they're available. You don't need to use the resistance toggles (Gravity Shield, Tough) as Eclipse caps you out on resistance very easily with very few bodies. However, I tend to run gravity shield just for looks because with Stygian Circle on an 8 second cooldown and giving you 45 endurance per body, you dont really have to worry about the cost of running extra toggles. And yes, I am using the Dwarf powers as set mules, because they allow you to place slots in them at level 1 when respeccing, allowing for very efficient slotting. It might be possible to make a dwarf farming build, but with it's limited damage capabilities, I don't see it as being particularly useful as a farmer, since speed and therefore DPS is the primary concern when farming (assuming that your character can survive the +4x8 farm just fine) Correct, the slot is for the KB conversion IO. The incarnate powers you have unlocked will be available to use on any build you make with that character, even if its a second build. That makes me really happy to hear, it was the same way for me and I'm glad you've been able to enjoy it as much as I have 🙂 This is honestly a personal choice, as Stygian Circle giving 45 end per body on an 8s cooldown effectively makes it negligible either way. See above for my comments on stamina slotting, but I am glad you're enjoying it! My experience farming is pretty much exactly as you describe it. It's an active farmer, but an easy one and I find it very relaxing to run through the cycles doing the meteor farm. It's clearly less efficient than a fire brute, but definitely much better than what might be expected. Especially when you use macros to create red inspirations and keep your damage capped. In that scenario, I can clear the comic con meteor map in under 8 minutes pretty consistently. See above response I am glad you've found it useful. As for a fresh 50 build, I would suggest looking at the non incarnate version. A lot of the more expensive sets have pretty direct counterparts that you can use in the meantime, like using Positron's Blast instead of Ragnarok. The main things to keep in mind when trying to substitute are the defense softcap and the recharge time on eclipse. As long as you maintain 45%+ defense to Smashing and Lethal as well as perma Eclipse, the build will function. Everything beyond those two aspects is geared towards optimization of damage (except the melee softcap, which provides a lot, and for which I saw an opportunity to grab with minor losses)
  23. I know a couple other people have asked me about fitting fly in there, and I am sure you can since hover takes a lotg proc as well, you'll lose the stacked invis that SS grants, and you may want to find a few points of additional defense so you dont have to constantly swap between hover and fly, though I know theres a bind setup out there somewhere that will automatically swap you between hover and fly when youre moving vs stationary As for leveling, I find human form only to be lacking until perma eclipse, so I tend to advise a bi or triform approach at least until you can slot enough IOs to maintain perma eclipse. This lets you experience more of the AT, too. Its possible to go human only the whole way, but it'll probably be making things more difficult on yourself if you do, unless youve got a considerable resource stockpile to draw from to make it easier
  24. I have my build and a couple variants in my thread, they have dwarf, but it's just there as a mule and never gets used https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,421.0.html
  25. Just want to point out that you can get most, if not all, the generic IO recipes you need significantly cheaper on the AH than from the table itself
