  1. Yes sir. A year ago today I told my boss, "Ok, I'm going. I'll see you in a couple of weeks when this blows over." We haven't been back since, other than a skeletal crew to keep stuff maintained.
  2. Yeah. None of my cryptids would have any reason to even go to a bar, much less have an idea of how to act when they got there.
  3. There are places that might work, but you'd have to work up enough people going to create it's own gravity, in a sense. Which University is most used? Maybe get a few people to go there and do some RP-ing. you might suck people in. Same thing for the Market, magical-type places, etc.
  4. I would have a hard time coming up with a reason for casually stopping by most of those. That's the biggest thing the bar scene provides. I would think alternatives would have to provide the same thing.
  5. Possibly. What are the location-agnostic requirements for a successful "networking" zone? 1. A reason to casually stop by (examples include parks, stores, banks, etc) 2. Safety. The first time you have your pickup line interrupted by a demon attack is funny. The 10th time is infuriating. 3. Neutral ground. This isn't as important as the first two if it's in addition to Pocket D, instead of replacing Pocket D. 4. Props. So much easier to have things around to play off of, such as chairs, lights, trash cans, etc. What else? Once that's sorted, you can start looking for places that might work.
  6. After some of the vile stuff I saw people talking about in Sims 4 forums...and mod requests I saw... Let's just say, not much could surprise me now.
  7. Yup. That's it. Right there.
  8. Even when I'm not in "RP Mode", I turn off my spammy powers like Shadow Fall, because I can see how annoying that would be. Imagine you're just having a conversation with someone. Then they disappear from view. Then you notice everyone, including yourself...yep. Invis. That'd be distracting.
  9. I hear you. I'm not "worried" about it. It's always good to know what the reaction of the crowd will be, if you can manage it. I've got characters that are fun to play but might irritate other people. I still have those characters and love to play them. But if the reaction had been "Oh. God. Ew. Yuck", I'd know not to stroll in Pocket D and expect a warm welcome.
  10. I'm guilty. When I'm zipping around accomplishing stuff, I don't really "have" (or take) the time. I've got my mission and I've got no time for distractions. Much like I ma in real life, much to my wife's amusement and consternation.
  11. Not original, but what about folklore and cryptids? Stuff inspired by tales of things like the Mothman or Bigfoot?
  12. What do you guys think about character mashups? I have a Superman/Captain America mashup. He's not named Steve or Clark. The words "Kryptonian" and "Super Soldier Serum" have nothing to do with him. He's not even Causasian. That said, he's very strongly influenced by Superman and Captain America (or Statesman and Blue Steel) in terms of costume and powers. Does that pass the smell test, or too copy-cat?
  13. I have never seen an incident of RP in DCUO.
