  1. After enjoying DP/Bio Sent for the last month, I decided to work on a beam/bio....she is in full build now as an incarnate in IOs and Attunes. And hits like a truck! My first toon since I arrived a couple months ago, is a ss/bio brute. The beam/bio sent hits just as hard as the brute. The DP aoe is more fluid for teams compared to beam imo...but for boss killing the beam wins hands down. All fun to play. -resists is key with assault for incarnates for the sents.
  2. I have only played Homecoming for about two months now. And can only compare DP/Bio through experience to my SS/Bio brute, who both are pretty much solid in Incarnates, IOs and Attunes. I made the effort to exploit resistance debuff and stack as much damage/bonus to better my dps (why I chose bio for 10%), and so far it turned out ok. Not the same dps as my SS brute, but it does feel bursty now compared to when I first started on the DP at 50. They indeed are lot of fun. Good defense and in/out playstyle in teams for the big pbaoe. I agree with opinion that Sents need some love though. Their aoe is meh at best even though they are slated for improved cast time in next issue patch. And hope that the new travel power revamp opens up some slots and an pool AOE to add in. Epic pools forgot about the sent:P Oh what to give for the SS power up:P. Opportunity damage bonuses are meh imo, where I save it for bosses for solo mostly... and the incendiary ammunition is still fluff. Teams already have some great debuffs or buffs as it is. I play DP for mostly style that has just enough dps to keep me from not playing. 😄 Btw I am curious...is 'extreme' a typo in suppressive fire description? Numbers are quite lower than its inferior counter shots in rotation.
  3. They are easy to get solo on 0 settings for missions. Die a few times outside AE and you will get the debt badge easy also.....and semi afk while mobs beat on you as long as you have good regen, you will get 1 mil damage taken....and so on. Heres link what you need... Villain Accolade Powers - Unofficial Homecoming Wiki (cityofheroes.dev) My +2 fire farmer doesnt' have them yet....no big need. One day I will grind them out for him. Cheers
  4. Hello all, First off, I have been playing MMOs for twenty years. Anarchy Online was my 2001 initiation. After that I spent some time with the original CoH launch with some degree of fun. Then CoV launched pvp...which was very anticipated but the imbalance was a big turn off. Where certain ATs and builds only belonged. I mained a stalker back then. Now I am back in CoX and having a pve blast. I rarely take a liking to pve, where for the past years it has been pretty much all pvp from the likes of SWTOR , Daoc, WoW, Warhammer ROR server of today. SWTOR, SWG, CoX...is where I appreciated the rp pve. Anyways, the new gen MMO was ruined by Blizzard. CoX is still a fresh throwback to a time where each MMO was a unique model of it's own. Old school. Awesome detail and brilliant playstyle diversity! I may dabble into pvp here in the near future. Right now I am still learning builds. For now its a refreshing pvp break in an awesome community. Detoxing from the tox! Maybe one day the big money backers such as EA will totally leave the MMOs alone and let MMOs become old skool again with passionate and niche developing....where the new gens failed learn MMO history and wanted to copycat for the $$$. I wish. Stick to councils bros!:P I remember shortly after the WoW launch thinking oh oh MMOs are in trouble. I was right. Whoever dusted off Home Coming...hats off. I have been only playing here for a good two months and am addicted. So many builds I want to try. Right now I am really enjoying the bio armor for brute and sentinel. SS/bio brute is a bit of a one man show beast...where I found that in big groups I spent more time trying to position for optimum contribution. So I rolled a DP/bio sent not expecting much based on reviews....but I couldn't resist the cool sauce. Now he (Cheeseburglar) is well into his incarnates, hes becoming a bit of a beast also....and very versatile with good dps. And yes first thing I did was roll a fire farmer haha. He's 53 now and makes sure the content toons aren't gimped. Again, so many builds I want to try. 🙂 Anyways it's awesome to be back and sorry about the babble. Lot of camp fire subjects attached. Cheers.
